Hi and Good Morning! :)  Alison here today sharing a card made inspired some of the amazing Cheery Lynn Designs Steampunk Dies! 

I used a 6 x 6 inch blank card base and layered black bazzil card and MME paper, inking the edges slightly with DI.

I then cut the stunning Steampunk Clock die in metallic black and stainless steel card, and shadowed it for effect.  The image is a Kenny K digi stamp and she was coloured in PM's and backed with Steampunk Wings.  I matted and layered onto Circle Stacker and Scalloped circle stacker.

The Gears were also cut in a mix of silver and black and layered and fastened together with silver brads for a finishing touch.

Sandy Hulsart with you here today filling in for Alison.  For my card I used two of the new Boutique Stacker die sets: Oval and Coved Rectangle (they also come in Square).  These are beautiful dies and they coordinate perfectly with the Silver Stackers: Oval and Coved Rectangle, so you can cut matching backers for them.   As you can see I layered the smallest oval on the middle size coved rectangle onto the largest oval.  I used pop-dots between the layers for some dimension.  I added the smaller Always (set of 2) sentiment die and then some flowers created using my Chrysanthemum Strip die.  I added a bit of shading to the center of the flowers and curled each of the petals under.

Hi and good morning everyone, Alison here today sharing a Halloween card made using some of the new release dies from Cheery Lynn and also a couple of older dies too.

I started off with a 6 x 6 inch blank card base, and layered black bazzil card, silver card and and glitter paper. 

I then added the stunning and delicate spiderweb mesh border (which cuts like dream), and matted and framed my image onto the gorgeous Celtic Square Stacker.

I placed on top of my image the super-cute Witch's Laundry... this is such FUN! and for a finishing touch added a few bats and the sentiment Halloween.

What a wonderful week of inspiration we have had so far on the blog!

My card today uses the Winter Neighbourhood Border, Horzon Square Stacker Frames layered onto ice white snowflake cardstock.

I added a wee snowman from the Christmas Knick Knacks and a couple of snowflakes for a finishing touch.  I think this is a simple, but effective card if you want to make several towards your christmas card tally! :)

Hi and Good Morning Everyone, Alison here today :)

Well I was feeling bright and summery when I made this card, and I also fancied a bit of a challenge!  I dont do CAS very often (or very well!) and I also never play with orange!  So this ticks both of my 'out of my comfort zone' boxes. lol.

I started out with a 6 x 6 inch scalloped blank card base and layered First Edition papers onto white American Crafts Cardstock.

I then placed the Dutch Scalloped Square frame over my dotty paper and then added the scalloped square and square die cuts.  I cut the gorgeous Sophias Heart mini doily for my centrepiece and added the sentiment on top.  For a finishing touch I made 2 daisies from the Daisy Flower strip and topped off with a little card candi.

Simples!

The Cheery Lynn Designs challenge this week is Mother's Day.  Nothing says love like flowers.  I have created an easel card with this adorable image, Bella with Flowers from Wild Rose Studio.  I began by cutting my card base with my Scalloped Square Mega Doily Reflections dies.  I used the 5 5/8" die.  I love the large scallops and the piercings along the edge.  I used my Scalloped Circle Lg Stackers and coordinating Silver Circle Stackers for the stamped image. 


In the new release this month, we have two new mesh border dies: Hearts Horizontal and Hearts Vertical.  How nice to have both directions.  As you can see I used the Vertical Hearts on the front of the card, and the Horizontal Hearts on the base.  I created these lovely flowers with my Shasta Daisy Strip die; medium and small sizes.  I curled the ends of the petals around a paint brush handle to give them some shape before adding the brad. Also in this month's new release was a Mini Fanciful Flourish Reverse.  I have used both it and the original Mini Fanciful Flourish for my greenery.  So nice to have them curving both directions!  The last embellishment was my Love Always, stamped onto a Sentiment Frame #1.  The beautiful paper is also from Wild Rose Studio.  Finished size is 5.5 inches square.

Sandy with you here today, Alison needed the day off.  Our challenge this week is Pretty in Purple.  I began with a 5 x 7 card base adding a panel embossed with Diamonds and Starbursts embossing plate.  Next came a panel created with the new City Girl Edger.  On top of that I added a panel embossed with Hearts and Rose Leaves embossing plate.  Using my Scalloped Oval Large Stackers and the matching Silver Oval Stackers, I die cut the computer generated sentiment and its matching purple oval.  For the flowers I used the new Chrysanthemum Strip die (love, love, love it)  The last step was to add the leaves from my Ivy Strip.

Sandy here with you today.  I apologize for my late posting, Michigan weather is at it again.  We had a pretty major lightning and thunderstorm last night and it fried my network port on my desktop computer so I was unable to connect to the internet.  But enough about that, for my card today, I have a cute easel card using an adorable image from Sarah Kay.

 
I created my card base with my Scalloped Square Lg Stackers adding background papers with the coordinating Silver Square Stackers.  I added a Pinwheel Doily w/Angel Wing and then used my Scalloped Oval Lg Stackers and coordinating Silver Oval Stackers for the stamped image.  I added a couple of Zig Zag Ric Rac border pieces on the left and across the top.


For the base of the card, I added Victorian Picket Fence, Grass border and Little Pink Bicycle.  These great papers are from the Paper Loft Everyday Life collection and so is the sentiment in blue on the upper panel.  The last step was to add the Sending Smiles sentiment from Hero Arts stamped and layered with Tags 2.  Finished size is 6" square.

Today, I have a little something different to share and would like to show you how to make a "Buddleia" flower : ) The "Buddleia" is more commonly known as the Butterfly Bush.

The color of these flowers are so vibrant and I think they just scream Summer!

So now for the fun ........

Oh, before we begin, here is a photo of what the flower looks like in real life:



 First, using the dies shown from B188 - Embellishment #2 you will need to cut quite a few of each since these flowers are small and depending how long you want each flower will dictate how many you will need. I used on average about 20-22 for each stem. I decided to do a Purple outside with a Yellow center. A pipe cleaner is what I used as the base for the flower.


After you have all pieces cut you can start to assemble by cupping each of the pieces and I used my Glossy Accents as a glue to attach the 2 pieces together.



Starting at the top of the pipe cleaner attach the flowers 1 by 1 making sure that you have them close together. Good glue is very important and since these are small the Crafters Tools that Cheery Lynn Designs sells are perfect. 



To finish the flowers off I used the B119 - Tropical Leaves. I cut and separated the leaves so they were mostly individual and glued them as desired to the pipe cleaner.

As a final step in finishing the flower off, wrap the bottom of the pipe cleaner in Floral Tape to cover the pipe cleaner to make it look more realistic.
