A tag for the girls by Maggi

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Today I have a tag for you that I think would be perfect to add to a bottle of wine and gift to a girlfriend that needs a little cheering up.  I love the sentiment that comes from Graphic 45's new Portrait of a Lady collection.

I've used some dies from the new release of Cheery Lynn Designs Bohemian Dies.  Down the center I've used  the Indie Border Die from the Bohemian collection.  I love how the design paper underneath peeks through the cut outs.

I added several layers in the center starting with Nesting Doll- Circles #2.  That makes a really great background for the  Mandala Doily 2  layer, also from the Bohemian collection.  The sentiment was diecut from design paper with a die from the Pierced Stacker 2 6 Piece Die Set.
Of course the tag has to be finished off with some flowers!  The large flower was made with the Floral Bouquet Kit 8 Piece Die Set.  The other flowers are roses made with the medium and large rose die sets.  A seam binding bow at the top and a organza trim around the edges are the perfect finishing accents for this feminine tag.

Shabby Chic Card with Cheryl Walker

1:30 AM 6 Comments

Hello everyone, super excited to be sharing this Shabby Chic Bird Cage card I created for Cheery Lynn Design using their beautiful dies. On my card today I chose to use 5 dies, and LOVE how they all look together. Super fun and easy card to create!

Cheery Lynn Dies:
B198 Bird Cage
D138 Mini Butterflies
B307 Sweet Williams Strip
DL280 Scandinavian Doily
B587 Step Card Bundle (used the greenery in this kit)

I started out by using Graphic45 design paper and Bazzill card stock. Its been a while since I have pulled out the G45 papers...hehehehe  I also used this beautiful shimmer embossed butterfly card stock, it's the white you see on my card base, bird cage, doily and layer 1.

Sweet William Strip was used to cut out all flowers in coordinating design paper. I love how sweet they look with the little pearls. For my greenery I chose the Step Card bundle.  There is some gorgeous greenery in this set. The sweet little butterfly came from the Mini Butterflies, it too is cut out using the same design paper.  I love how all these dies compliment each other.

I embellished my card with sewing and a small bow at the top of the cage :)

Thank you for looking, and hope you enjoyed my post for today!
hugs to all,
Cheryl W

Bohemian Word set...Peace

2:30 AM 1 Comments

Hi everyone!

Laurie here sharing a card I made with some of the dies from the new Bohemian die collection. I started out with the Bohemian Word set, cutting out the word,"Peace." The small heart is also from this set too..it's actually in the middle of the word,"love." Then I cut out the flower and leaf from the Indie Bouquet and Mehndi Botanical collection. The greens are from the Floral Bouquet kit.

I backed it all on some stitch and cut pierced rectangles. I finished the card with one sparkly enamel dot in the center of the flower!

Easter Greetings Card

3:30 AM 1 Comments
Hi there peeps! Hope your weekend is going well.  Cherry here at the Cheery Lynn Designs blog.  I have a cute Easter card to share today.  The dies I used are a must have for Easter crafting.
I started with covering my card stock with some pattern paper and layered it with the Quatrefoil A2 Frame die.  This die is a go to for me.  It can really set the mood for a card.  Either very simple and casual or can be added to a card for more depth and texture.
I then added my ribbon and made my big loopy bow.  From here the Nesting Dolls Tags 2 - 5 piece set was used for more interest.  I hand cut a little banner and stamped my tag.  I die cut the Bunnies and added foam adhesive for dimension.  From here I added my flowers using both the Gardenias and the Sweet Christine flowers.
Well that is it for me folks!  Happy weekend!  Cherry

Hello by Jenny Alia

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Hi, it's Jenny here today with a card using only a few dies.  I used distress ink to color paper in shades of blue before cutting out the feathers and background.  The hello die from the Bohemian Word Set was covered in frantage gold embossing powder.

This was a simple and relatively quick card to make but I waited to put it together until the ink dried.  I could have used a heat tool but I tend to cut and then color and I wasn't sure if coloring first and heating would cause the paper to warp so I let it dry naturally.

Even with the variegated color you can really see the gorgeous detail on these leaves.  The leaves were secured to the card with double sided foam tape for added dimension.

Peace

3:30 AM 3 Comments
Hi friends.  Bonnie here from Make Time to Craft.  Today I'm sharing a retro card I created with the new Peace Symbol die from the Bohemian Collection that was just released in January from Cheery Lynn Designs.
Isn't the texture on the peace symbol and in the background frame die just fabulous?!!
My card base is 4-1/4" x 5-1/2".  I backed a piece of aqua paper with Stick It adhesive and ran it though the die cutting machine for the background Bohemian Paisley Frame die and then adhered it to jade cardstock.   I then added some layers from bottom up, trimming each to leave a small border, ending with the paisley frame.
I then cut the peace symbol in aqua shading just a bit with distress ink to really bring out the details.  I mounted it on a cream circle just a tiny bit bigger and used the burble/cheesecloth embossing plate on that to add some texture.  These were adhered together and then added on a jade circle that left just a small border.

The word Peace was cut in cream and jade so I could offset and stack them for a shadow effect.  Before I did that, I inked the word for a bit on am ombre effect.

The pretty bi-color bow was created on my Bow-it-All Tool using Turquoise and Coral Rose Delicate Stitched Satin ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope I've inspired you to try some of the dies from the NEW Bohemian Collection.

Groovy Summer Card by Amy Voorthuis

3:30 AM 4 Comments
Good morning lovelies.
Oh how much I long for summer.  We had just a lovely day yesterday and now it's very windy.
Today I would like to share a card with you, using some of the older dies I have in my beautiful "Cheery Lynn Designs"collection. For this card I used the pretty "Life by the Sea"collection by Maja Design. When these dies came out a couple of years ago I fell in love instantly and they are still some of my favorites to use.

Groovy Summer:
I just layered the Ship's Compass on top of the Ships Helm to get more dimension.  On top of that I added a cut out piece from the Maja Design collection. I added some different papers behind the lighthouses and placed them behind each other.  On top of that I used the "GROOVY" word die {love it} and it's now on sale in the Cheery Lynn Designs store yeahh.

Dream Forever by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 2 Comments

Hello Cheery Lynn Fans, it's JULIE here today hosting the blog and I am delighted to be sharing some more inspiration from our new Bohemian Collection on my Dream Forever card.

Have you noticed on Cheery Lynn's Stacker Dies you can get Stitched and Pierced details at the edges of these Dies or just left plain. I love all these extra touches of detail and when I looked at the details on my Mandala Doily, Cowboy Boots and Dreamweaver Dies I noticed all the Pierced details so I knew I wanted to use one of the sets of Pierced Stackers. I chose the Coved Rectangles and added an accent from the outer edge of my Mandala Doily at the edges.

My Cowboy Boots were cut out of Kraft Cardstock highlighting all the embossed detail with a Fineliner Pen and a little ink to age them. I layered the swirls and buckles on twice and added a brad onto the boot. Aren't they so cool !

I cut my Mandala Doily out of Kraft Cardstock and paper from Maja Design, layering it on top for contrast. Next I cut out the centre and added my Dreamweaver Die which had also been layered twice. I extended the tassels on my Dreamweaver and hid the joins with my pretty flowers.

I offset the feathers to look as if they are blowing in the wind and added some small feathers that I pulled out of a feather pillow for added texture.

I finished with lots of pearls and a sentiment.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you manage to get some creative time  this week.

Crafty Hugs,
Julie x

You Hold The Key To My Heart by Debbie Brownmiller

3:30 AM 1 Comments
Hi there. It's Debbie back with you from Debbie's Time Out. Nice to see you visiting the blog today. I have an anniversary coming up this month so with anniversary in mind, I created this card.
I started out by matting a beautiful paper with roses on it onto black cardstock.  Next I cut the Sweetheart Frame  in red and also cut it in the pattern paper. I layered the  red frame onto the center of the card, then layered the center of the frame that I cut in the patterned paper.
I printed the sentiment on the computer, then placed the Horizon Fishtail Banner  over it and cut it out. I then matted it in black cardstock and layered it along the bottom.
Here I have created three Sweet William flowers cut from the pattern paper and put black beads in the center of them. For filler behind the flowers I used the Sweet Williams .
I wanted the card a bit masculine so I choose to use the Hearts 'n Gears .  I layered a key cut from the Lock and Keys  set.

Thanks for visiting the blog today and for the comments you leave. I always enjoy reading your comments. Have a wonderful crafty day my friends.

Easter Baskets With Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 2 Comments

Hi! It's still February but who is ready for Spring!
Here is Arizona it is been pretty nice, but I watch the weather and it appears that winter is still here almost everywhere else...
So, here is a springtime project you can make pretty easy using lots of
Cheery Lynn Designs Die Cuts.
Fun little Easter baskets using "Scalloped Party Favor Box".

I have been checking out the little box for some time now and I finally decided to make baskets with them. I cut the favor box in kraft and then stamped a basket pattern on top with brown ink. The handle is "siena double edge border" and was also cut in kraft paper.

I debated between chocolate bunnies and white "bunnies"? White bunny won...because of the basket color...but there are so many options. Little google eyes are a must for me. I used the smallest flower from "floral bouquet kit" in teal and purple with gala glitz in the centers.

Lastly, 2 sets per basket of the "flourish 13" Love that leaf die cut!

Here is the back of the "favor box" I added some green grass in the centers.
Candy of your choice! Great gift to pass out...

Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a great day!
Hugs Lisa

Maggi Sharing a Sweet Card

3:30 AM 2 Comments

Love love love this image from Maja Designs Summertime collection. It is just perfect to dress up with some Cheery Lynn Designs die cuts!

I started with a white card base (4 3/4" x 6") and topped that with a pretty floral print diecut with Royal Scandinavian Boutique Stacker A2 Frame 4 Piece Die Set.  Then I added a pretty dotted scalloped layer cut with A2 Frames Rectangular Scalloped 7 Piece Die Set.

Of course for this sweet feminine card, I need flowers so I made a rose with the Medium- Rose 7 Piece Die Set.  I love that die set because it cuts all the pieces you need to make a flower at once.  The larger flower is made with the Judy's Blooms Die.   I cut some flourishes with Flourish #11 Die and tucked pieces of that around my flowers.  I cut a tiny tag for my sentiment using the smallest die from the Pierced Stacker 2 - 6 Piece Die Set.

Then, a cheerful seam binding bow, just sets it all off.

This was really a quick and simple card to make, just diecut a couple layers, stamp and sentiment and make a couple flowers.  Easy peasy!  Thanks for stopping by, we appreciate the time you take to visit with us!

Sweet Bunny Birthday Card with Cheryl Walker

2:30 AM 1 Comments

Hello everyone, and Happy Friday to all!!
Today's card was designed for Cheery Lynn Design using the beautiful dies from Cheery Lynn Designs . I wanted my card to have a Spring feel, and this delivers just that :) It was also created for Really Reasonable Ribbons Challenge this week, to create a Birthday, wedding, baby, or some kind of occasion card. Mine is a Birthday & Spring! hehehe
On my card I used lots of darling dies from Cheery Lynn, and I am loving them all on this one!!! I also used The Project Bin sentiment stamp from the set called "Born Yesterday" this set is all about Birthdays!

Cheery Lynn Dies Used:
B527 Bunnies( brown polka dot) I also added a bow, flower, and viva pearl pen to this cutie
B682 Quadrafoil Tag , cut using the Pink hearts design paper.
LPC4 Circle Pierce set cut out brown card stock, and tree dp from Pebbles
DL280 Royal Scandinavian Doily, cut out in white card stock and layered on card front
B180 Princess Tree , cut out in green card stock, and matching design paper, and layered. I also added some flowers , and branches to this one.
B216 Wreath Strip used as branches under the tree for a filler

I absolutely LOVE the way this card turned out. I love all the layers and colors, it's perfect for a spring birthday!

The tree was super fun to work with, and I will have to do another of this one soon! I love the wreath strip pieces behind it, as it gives some dimension and fills in. I added the little hearts in the design paper, I thought it would be cute. I lastly added some flower embellishments to this!

My Big Bow was created using Really Reasonable Ribbons February Ribbon monthly kit. I also used some RRR for the bunny bow. LOVE how cute this bunny is! All embellishments are also from RRR.

Sewing was done using a very light pink thread and my sewing machine.

I hope you enjoyed my post for today! Please leave a comment letting me know what you think, I truly enjoy reading them!

Hugs to all,
Cheryl

Indie Bouquet by Laurie Schmidt

2:30 AM 3 Comments

Hi everyone!

Laurie here sharing a card I made with some of the dies from the new January release. I'm loving this  Bohemian set. Especially the flowers...they are so fun!

I started out with the rectangle stitch and cut tools, and made 2 inlaid frames. I stamped the sentiment in the middle and added a few sequins for a bit of bling.

The flowers are cut out with the new Indie Bouquet dies, and I added some leaves from the Mehndi Botanical set.
The foliage is from the Floral Bouquet Kit, which is a super addition to add to your collection of dies. It goes so well with ANY flower arrangement, and also has 2 flowers that come with it. I'm finding I'm reaching for it all the time, especially now that I have started to make more spring cards. Flowers are so cheerful when snow is still on the ground...it's fun to think about spring!

I LOVE the detail on the flowers and the leaves, and added some enamel dots to the centers.

Here's the list of Cheery Lynn dies I used:

Floral Bouquet Kit B777
Mehndi Botanicals 2 set  B863

Thanks for stopping by....have a great day!
