Sweet Baby Boy Card with Cheryl Walker

1:30 AM 0 Comments
Hello crafty friends and Happy Friday to you all! Cheryl here today sharing this sweet little Rocking Horse card I designed using Cheery Lynn's darling dies. I love making baby cards as they are always so much fun to create, and I LOVE this darling horse, so cute!

On my card I used the C108 Rocking Horse cut out in coordinating design paper and white card stock. I did add some glitz using stickles in blue.  The doily he is on is the Priscilla Doily, one of my many favorite Cheery Lynn Doily dies. It was cut using the same white card stock. I did also cut the corners in white using BD-17 Corners die.

All the card layers were done using Pebbles design paper and american crafts card stock. I did add sewing in blue. The eye on the horse was done using the Viva Pearl pen in black, love using this for eyes. For the ribbon I chose to use Really Reasonable Ribbon's Taffeta ribbon.

Super fun and simple card to make, hope you enjoyed my post, and Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy 4th of July with Laurie Schmidt

12:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi everyone! Laurie here from Stamping Up North wishing you a Happy 4th of July!

It's time to celebrate with some of Cheery Lynn's AWESOME patriotic dies, and I have 2 cards to share with you today.

For both cards I used the Proud USA die. I cut them out and did some paper piecing.

Cheery Lynn Designs - Proud USA Die - B491

I also adhered the letters USA from the Life's a Beach die:

Cheery Lynn Designs - Life's A Beach Sign Die - B647

Ok, I know you are wondering where I got the "U" from Life's a Beach. I cut just a bit off of the A, and turned it upside down..lol!

Then I adhered  them both onto some pierced stitch and cut rectangles.

For the top card I used the Celebrate pop up die....I love to cut it off and use it for a sentiment.

Cheery Lynn Designs - Pop Up Celebrate Word - 1 Piece Die Set - B934

For the bottom card I used the Chevron plate as a fun background.

Hello by Jenny Alia

I've been thinking about ways to use this paisley die.  It has amazing detail and can look delicate or fun and bold depending on the colors.   I had a lot of fun switching up the colors and cutting out the edges of the center for added color.

The centers were adhered with foam adhesive for dimension.  I added little dots of pearl colored paint in some of the holes.  The base card is A2 and white but the main background paper is  light blue.

Nautical Thank You by Jenny Alia

Hi friends!  I'm back today sharing a new card.  I seem to be making simpler looking cards lately with less layers and I'm always looking for a way to spice them up.  I love the way CAS cards look when done right but I struggle with them.

This card was made by using the Chevron die as a stencil.  I used different colors of ink sponging  gradually from lighter to darker. Then I mounted the frame I cut using the Rectangle Pierce & Cut die. I cut the center out of the rectangle using the next smaller die in the set.  Thank You was cut twice and glued together for a little more substance.  One of the seahorses was mounted with foam tape for dimension.  The shells were cut out of a cream cardstock.  The main design was then glued to a light blue card.

The Songbird by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi Cheery Lynn fans, it’s JULIE here today and I’m sharing a vintage styled card using some papers I picked up recently at a car boot sale, along with a few other bargains.

I started by tattering edges of my base layer and heat embossed some gold powder onto the edges. Adding layers with coordinating papers, a little cheesecloth for a shabby look and my bird with embossing powder also at the edges.

My flowers were all cut out from coordinating papers and shaped on my Embossing mat and stamens added into the centres. I then arranged my floral arrangement onto my card along with leaves and flourishes.

Hello my favorite peeps! Thanks for stopping by today to check out my latest creation for Cheery Lynn Designs. I was thinking about my sister yesterday when I made this card. When she was a little girl her nickname was "chicks" So every time I see a chicken I think of her....

My son suggested the grey chicken wire....sometimes they stop by my scrap room....lol

I added red flowers with gala glitz in the centers and flourishes with orange leaves? Guess you can use your imagination for leaves....I just wanted it match.

Hi everyone! Laurie here from Stamping Up North
Today my card features two of Cheery Lynn's dies from the Retro Release. There are 10 dies in this release, and they are all so fun! I find myself reaching for them again and again!

I decided to make a Birthday card for a friend's son who loves robots. I cut out one of the robots from the Robot Buddies set in black and orange. Then I added some silver foil arms and legs.

Retro Rocket Card with Cheryl Walker

1:30 AM 0 Comments

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Tuesday to you all! Today's card features the Retro Rocket die from Cheery Lynn Designs, and a few other fun dies as well.  I thought it would be cute cut out in some of the coordinating design papers I used on my card layers.

To start with, I used a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2" white card base. Next I took some blue scrap card stock pieces and used them for my layering with the design paper pieces. The design paper pieces are also scraps, and I believe they are from the Pebbles Americana Stack.  I layered the Cheery Lynn Pierced Banners using red card stock and the same design paper, and then did the Nesting Doll circle in blue, with a white circle die. I did distress the white circle using red ink and a dabber. The Rocket was cut in another design paper from the stack, and then I colored the pieces that went on it with Copic markers. The rocket was also distressed using red and blue inks on the edges. I did add some Stickles as well. Now the moon is done with a GLOW in the DARK glitter, fun huh!?

Lastly I added a double bow using the Really Reasonable Ribbon May Ribbon Club assortment, and one of their sweet embellishments.

All layers were popped using RRR foam squares. Also I added sewing in red thread.

Happy Birthday to You with Bonnie Garby

3:30 AM 1 Comments
Hi there Cheery Lynn fans.  Bonnie from Make Time to Craft here with you today sharing a pretty pink and purple floral birthday card featuring some gorgeous dies from Cheery Lynn Designs.
It's no secret that I love to create three dimensional flowers, but today I'm using a die that I don't often use.  The flowers today were created with the Judy's Bloom die.  It makes really lovely flowers.  For the larger flower in the center, I layered petals using both sizes in the die set and the smaller flowers just use the smaller flower die.  I made the flowers with some pretty Distress Ink paper I made and the foliage is a mix of the dies from the Flourish 6 and Flourish 13 die sets.
For my background I layered the Quatrefoil A2 Frame 1 cut in white over another piece of Distress Ink paper, layered it on purple and pink cardstock and backed it with white mulberry paper.  I ran a layered piece of ribbon across the middle of my card behind the sentiment panel.

Cheery Lynn Dies used:

My card was topped off with a pretty bi-color bow I created on my Bow-it-All V3.0 Tool using ribbon from the June Ribbon Club Assortment from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I added a pretty pearl heart shaped embellishment to the center of the bow.
Thanks so much for stopping by today and happy crafting!

My Rainbow by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi Cheery Lynn fans it’s JULIE here and this week I challenged myself to make a clean and simple styled card. This is something I find very hard to do as I always want to add more details within my design. So I guess this is probably as minimalistic as I can manage and I hope you like it and feel inspired to also step out of your comfort zone too.

I started by die cutting my smallest square in my stitched stackers in colours of the rainbow to compliment my stamped sentiment, adding my small Doily which was cut in half and placed in the centre.

My next layers were all added with foam strips for added dimension along with a few flowers to sit on my cloud. Adding a final touch of some squiggly lines around the edge of my card.

Sending Birthday Wishes Floral Card with Bonnie Garby

3:30 AM 1 Comments
Hello and Happy Wednesday.  Bonnie here from Make Time to Craft today sharing a pretty floral birthday card created with pretty dies from Cheery Lynn Designs.
My card today showcases the gorgeous Sakura Flower die.  I cut the die three times using different colors of Distress Ink Papers that I created.  The green is the base and then I fussy cut the flowers out of the purple paper and then the flower centers from the pink paper.  Then I layered and adhered them to the main panel of the card.  I stamped the sentiment in the bottom right corner and added a butterfly to the bottom left.  In order to balance things, I added three ribbon loops to the bottom right.

I finished my card off with a pretty bi-color bow created on my Bow-it-All V3.0 Tool using ribbon from the June Ribbon Club Assortment from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  The center of the bow was topped with a pretty heart shape pearly embellishment.
Thanks so much for stopping by today and happy crafting!

Sakura Flower Card with Cheryl Walker

1:30 AM 0 Comments
Hello Crafty friends and Happy Monday to you all! Cheryl here today with a super fun & easy mini card designed for Cheery Lynn Designs! Love making these for those last minute cards that you may need. This card took me very little time to make, as I just added my design paper, lace, Sophia's Mini Doily, Flourish frame and then the colored Sakura flower.

The Sakura Flower was cut out in white card stock, then colored with 3 copic pink markers, and one green. I did cut off all the other flowers on this one cut, and layered them in the center for a 3-D look. Love how easy it was to do.

Next I cut both the doily and frame in white, and then stamped my sentiment on the Flourish frame. I also distressed the frame with a pink ink.

Sakura Flower B776

Classic Christmas with Laurie Schmidt

1:00 AM 1 Comments

Hi everyone, Laurie here from Stamping Up North.

This fun classic vintage car reminded me of when I was a kid and our family packed up and headed to Grandma and Grandpa's house for Christmas. SO... I decided to create a Christmas scene with it for my siblings!

We actually did put luggage and presents on top of our car...but in a luggage rack. There were 4 kids, one large black lab and our parents, so we all barely fit inside! Since I was the youngest, I sat in the front, in the middle. That was the worst...with a hump on the floor, and very little room to get comfortable at all. It was a 3 hour drive!  BUT those are some of the best memories I have..the trips of us all together in that car!

First I cut out the car and presents:

Cheery Lynn Designs - Classic Car Die Set - 13 Die Set - B944

Cheery Lynn Designs - Deco Christmas Tree - 5 Piece - B915

Then I adhered them onto a blue circle, and added some holly from the Christmas Wreath set:

After I stamped the sentiment, I added some flecks of snow with white paint and a toothbrush.
