A Christmas Card for You from Maggi

3:30 AM 0 Comments
Hi there Cheery Lynn fans, Maggi here today to share a pretty card with gorgeous blooms!  The Cheery Lynn Poinsettia Strip 6 Piece Die Set makes the perfect poinsettias for cards, not too big, not too small, just right!  The poinsettias perfectly set off the pristine winter scene from Graphic 45's Winter Wonderland collection.

The greeting is a metal piece.  I rubbed some white paint into the etched sentiment to make it stand out and then mounted it on a small die cut from the Nesting Doll- Oval #1 set.

To make that pretty wreath, I used  the Joy To The World Wreath  set and cut two wreaths from slightly different colored paper and glued them together such that the branches opposed each other.  Then I added some Stickles to mimic holly berries.

I really love sparkle on my Christmas cards so I used a red Wink of Stella pen to brush sparkle all ove the poinsettias.  It's too bad that you can't really see that so much in the photo, but it is there!  The flower centers are some white centers that I purchased and used alcohol ink to color.

The inside of the card is simple, I used the Merry Christmas Set 2 Piece Die Set for the sentiment and added a border strip.  Easy!

Olive You 12" x 12" Layout with Cheryl Walker

2:30 AM 0 Comments
Hello everyone and Happy Wednesday to you all! Today's layout is using Cheery Lynn's beautiful dies to adorn this page. I love the Sweet William Flowers on this, they are pretty simple to make, as all I did was distress them and then glue them using the Best Glue Ever from Cheery Lynn.

For the page itself I used the Club Scrap Trattoria collection for all card stock and design papers. Next for the corner brackets I used Cheery Lynn's Dusty Miller Framed Corners B883

The flowers were done using Cheery Lynn's Sweet William Strip and the red card stock from the Trattoria kit. I did distress each flower using Club Scraps Hybrid Ruby ink for the petals, and then added some pearls from Really Reasonable Ribbon to each. The greenery behind the flowers are cut with Cheery Lynn's Flourish #8 and Club Scraps Green card stock. The flowers were put together using Cheery Lynn's Best Glue Ever.

For the little Olive You tag -
I cut it using Cheery Lynns Dutch Daisy Tag and brown card stock. Next I used the same cream card stock that I cut the French Pastry Mega Doily with for my tags sentiment.

Let it Snow with Laurie Schmidt

3:00 AM 1 Comments

Hi everyone! Laurie here from Stamping Up North.

My card today features one of the new dies from Cheery Lynn's fall and winter release called, "Let it Snow." I LOVE the font on this sentiment. I cut it out in red and adhered it onto a pierced circle.

I had some fun patterned paper in my stash that I used to cut out a stitched rectangle, and then adhered the circle onto that. I really like the tiny trees!

Then I went to work putting my snowman together! I inlaid his buttons, eyes and mouth. He's so cute! I added a bit of holly behind him and then adhered it all to the bottom of my circle

Here's a list of the dies I used:

Hugs & Mugs by Jenny Alia

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi friends, I hope you are enjoying the weekend!  Now that Thanksgiving has passed, my children have been asking for hot chocolate and cookies.  We're working on holiday decorating and these dies popped out at me while I was figuring out what to create.

I backed the gingerbread cookies with white paper, used two different colors behind the mug and popped up all three using dimensional foam tape.  I added a few clear rhinestones on the centers of the snowflakes and glitter glue on the words.

  Good morning Cheery Lynn Fans.
Today it's my turn again on this lovely blog and this time I have a quick and easy card for you to show. I just love the window frames Cheery Lynn Designs offers so in my last allotment I got the one I used on this card.

Bliss:
The flowers where prepaired two cards back and I had some left that I used on this card. For my card I used leftover papers by 49 and Market from several collection. I just love it when you can make  cards from scraps you have left from making a layout.

Let It Snow by Debbie Brownmiller

3:30 AM 0 Comments
A warm Hello to you. It's Debbie back with you from Debbie's Time Out. We got out first snow yesterday that has actually stayed on the ground so thought I would do a Let It Snow Card.

I have used the Square Classic - Silver Stackers  and  the Square Scalloped LG Stackers for my base. I was going for black and white but then decided to add just a touch of blue to set it off. I love the layers these stackers create.

Here I used  white paint and a tooth brush to splatter snow on black cardstock. It makes a perfect snowy  background to layer the Let It Snow  onto. This was a quick and simple card if you are short of time.

Thanks so much for visiting the blog today and for the comments you leave. Have a crafty day my friends.

Hello Pumpkin with Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 0 Comments
Hi everyone! Welcome back to a new autumn card using dies from Cheery Lynn Designs. I love the pumpkins and I used two different sets layered on top of each other.
The birch tree was die cut in kraft cardstock and the leaves are from the flourish leaf strip. I cut the leaves off and placed them throughout the tree. The cute animals are also part of the birch tree die cut. Lots of adorable animals to choose.
The sentiment was stamped in brown ink. The cream background was also embossed with fall leaves but my picture didn't show it up like I wanted it? Sorry.

Shaker Ornaments with Maggi

3:30 AM 0 Comments
Christmas time is all about family and children in my mind and here is a project you can do with the kids.  These are shaker tree ornaments that are so simple to make.  All you need is our shaker die kits (listed below).  The shaker kits even come with shakers but I opted to use glass beads for shakers in these.

Make two shakers and glue them together.  For the bell, cut the clapper off one so they match up nicely.  Since I used white foam to make the shakers, I took a Faber-Castell Big Brush Pen in green and inked all around the two shakers.  You could use any ink to color the edges.

Embellish the tree top and the bell with a small flower from the Floral Bouquet Kit 8 Piece Die Set .  Shown here are the reverse sides of the above - these are all ready to tie on your tree.

Sweet Brad the Reindeer Card with Cheryl Walker

1:30 AM 0 Comments
Hello everyone and Happy Monday to you all!

Today's sweet reindeer card was designed for Cheery Lynn Designs, using their super sweet Brad the Reindeer Die. I also used a couple of their beautiful doilies as well, and will list them below. I hope you enjoy my post for today, and as always, thank you for stopping by!

On my card for today, I decided to use this sweet design paper from Imaginisce, it's an oldie I think. I also used red and green embossed card stock to layer with. For the doilies I selected Cheery Lynn's beautiful Priscilla Doily and Sophia's Heart, both cut using white card stock.

Brad the Reindeer was cut using two Bazzill bling card stock colors, and all other pieces were cut using white, then colored with Copics. I did add some bling to his collar.

The ribbon is satin from Really Reasonable Ribbon, and the cabochon is also from there. Lastly I added some sewing. Super easy and fun card to create.

Other Supplies:
Bazzill card stock, Really Reasonable Ribbon, Really Reasonable Ribbon cabochon, Sewing, Copics, Imaginisce design paper.
Thank you for stopping by and hope you have a lovely day!

Hugs to all,
Cheryl

Frosty the Snowman with Laurie Schmidt

3:00 AM 0 Comments

Laurie here from Stamping Up North sharing a cheerful and festive Christmas card today!

I started out with a pierced circle on a white card stock panel, and did some layering. I added some beautiful snowflakes for a background for Frosty the Snowman. He's so cute...I just love his carrot nose!

Then I made some Poinsettias with the poinsettia strip....love that die! It cuts 6 at a time of 3 different sizes, perfect for layering. I added some pearls in their centers, and a few holly leaves at the bottom.

To finish it all off, I stamped the sentiment in black and added a scalloped rectangle frame.

Here's a list of the dies I used:

Best Wishes by Jenny Alia

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi everyone!  Today I planned my card around this lovely Best Wishes Sentiment Square die that I just picked up on clearance at  Cheery Lynn Designs.  I love these word dies in squares, circles and ovals.  It's so easy to build a card around them and the beautiful font creates a wonderful focal point on projects.

The square fit perfectly in many of the doilies and for this card I used the Dutch Daisy Square Doily.  I used white and blue with a creamy tan thrown in to add to the bridal theme. I used my go-to Floral Bouquet Kit for the leaves.  All of these leaves came from the same set.  The flowers are actually from the Embellishments #3 die set.  Cheery Lynn has such a wide range of flower dies but I wanted to play with something a little different and I liked the light, airy quality these created.

Hello there Cheery Lynn die lovers.  Bonnie from Make Time to Craft here with you today sharing a colorful Christmas card featuring the pretty Poinsettia Strip die from Cheery Lynn Designs.  I'm also including a video tutorial for the poinsettia flower below.
I love the poinsettia die because it's just so versatile.  Today I'm using some digital Christmas papers from Graciellie Design for some of the layers mixed with some red Distress Ink paper I created.  It's a really interesting look.  I cut the layers of petals and shaped them a bit and then assembled.  I then added some greenery using the Pine Branches die.
My digital sentiment is from Graciellie Design as well.
