Thanks 3-D Pop Up Card with Cheryl Walker

1:30 AM 0 Comments
Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Wednesday to you all! I can't tell you how much I am LOVING the new Cheery Lynn 3-D Pop Up Dies, they are so much fun to work with. This one is the Thanks Pop Up that works for the inside of the card, and can also work for the outside of your card as well. I wanted to use it for the outside of this Thank you Card!

To start with I used white card base and cut the Thanks, then ended up taking scissors and cutting the top part off the thanks so it's all in the back. Super easy to do. Next I cut the pink in thanks and cut them out and glued to the Thanks. That is why they are pink now and the card base is white :)

All layers were done using the same pink and then some Crate Paper from the Random 6 x 6 paper stack. I used two doily dies on this and then the Beautiful Decorative Gift Envelope Die.  It's a 12 piece set and comes with all of the flowers, butterflies, birds and a leaf. I added a circle tag and stamped the sentiment on it. All the flowers have little pink pearls in the centers and the butterflies have a cream color pearl on them. Super fun card to make.  I had so much fun designing this one!

Close up of the window and flowers with butterflies. I love the little flowers, they are so sweet. I did layer the bigger flower two times to give them a 3-D look. I also added a flower to the T and the bottom of the S in the photo below you can see.
Thank you for looking and have a lovely day!

Pop up Happy Birthday Card

1:00 AM 2 Comments

Hi everyone, Laurie here from Stamping Up North!

For today's card I used 2 of Cheery Lynn's new pop up dies. I LOVE these dies! They are so much fun.  As you can see I used the pop up celebrate die as a sentiment on the front of my card, and the Happy Birthday as a pop up inside.

First I adhered a panel of some patterned paper, then I added a Cheery Lynn phonograph. It matches my paper perfectly!  I cut out the celebrate twice and adhered that on top. Then I stamped the sentiment, "Happy Birthday to a real classic."

For the inside of the card, I followed the directions on the video here. Then I added the hat, pipe, and mustache from the Men's set.

Here's a list of the dies I used:

Happy Monday my friends!  My day today here at the Cheery Lynn Designs blog.
Easter kinda crept up on me.  It's just a month away!
I got out some fun springy goodies and went to work creating a card and matching mini treat bag using some fun dies from Cheery Lynn Designs.
I used the Tags #1 and cut a negative image of the sweet Chicks three piece set.

I did some hand stamping to add some detail.

Love by Jenny Alia

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi friends!  It's Jenny here today with a floral Love card.  I've wanted to use these Mehndi Botanical Stems since I first got them but they disappeared on me for awhile.  When they resurfaced I cut and colored them immediately.  I love the details and think they add a fun bohemian element to projects.  I paired them with the Mandala Doily and added a gardenia which just may be my favorite Cheery Lynn flower to create.

I colored all my die cuts using distress inks and foam makeup wedges and glued a silver rhinestone into the center of the Gardenia flower.  The Mandala Doily #1 was adheared using foam adhesive for dimension.

Say it with Flowers by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 4 Comments

Hi Cheery Lynn Fans, it’s JULIE here today and I am sharing some more inspiration using another of our beautiful Mega Doilies on my card that measures approximately 8 x 8 inches square.

The Italian Flourish Doily comes in 3 sizes and on this card I have used 2 of them on my layers. Both were cut out in white cardstock and some Distress ink added to the edges. I like to not put glue on the edges of my Doilies, only adding some to the centre. I find this helps to put a little movement into the design and softens the look.

My Daisies have 4 layers on them with a little Distress ink and a Pearl added into the centres.  You will notice that two of the layers of petals are folding down the way and two folding up the way, this helps give stability to the flowers.

Happy Birthday was stamped with Archival ink and mounted onto a little cheesecloth and foam strips for extra dimension.

Finishing off with Pearl Strands, Accents of Pearls on my flourishes and a pretty double layered Butterfly.

Be Happy Pop Up Flowers by Debbie Brownmiller

3:30 AM 0 Comments
A warm Hello to you. It's Debbie with you from Debbie's Time out. Today I am featuring one of the newly release Pop Up Dies. I have chosen to use the Flower.

For the front of my card I used a piece of pattern paper and popped up the flowers cut from the Pop Up Flowers. I then layered the Whimsical "Be Happy" Die - B787 above them.

This is the inside of the card and shows how nicely the flowers pop up when you open the card. This is a very cool effect and will take anyone's eye and make them smile when opening the card.

Here is a close up of the flowers popped up. The flowers and sentiment were all cut in white and inked with distress inks. I do hope you get a chance to buy and play with these pop up dies. Cheery Lynn Designs has a nice selection of these Pop Up dies and they are so easy to use. Bonnie our team leader has made five video's on these and you can watch them by clicking on this link. https://www.youtube.com/user/reasonableribbon/videos. So pour yourself a coffee and enjoy the videos. Have a crafty day my friends.

Happy Easter with Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 2 Comments
Hello! Welcome back to another card for Cheery Lynn Designs using several die cuts for the upcoming  Easter holiday. I can't believe it is coming up so soon this year on April Fool's Day...LOL
So I wanted to use some fun colorful papers and several beautiful eggs throughout.

I love the Easter Eggs, Bunny and Chick Egg. The Nesting Eggs are great for the background and the sentiment..there is also a bunny with that set too. Coming soon!

I die cut the laces part of the eggs in white and then used several colors for the background. The cracked egg was die cut in white and I colored the legs with a yellow marker. I decided to use the Pretty Pretty Bows instead of real ribbon. A few pearls and done!

Hope you enjoyed...

On top of that is the Wedding Cake Shaker piece, love it! I did layering on it as well using the Olive Branches, and the Tiny Flowers kit.

For the inside I cut some of the matching design paper and then used the Best Wishes Pop Up on that, then layered it on some grey card stock and placed inside my card.

Pop Up Flower Card with Laurie Schmidt

1:00 AM 1 Comments

Hi everyone!

Laurie here from Stamping Up North sharing a Pop Up Flower card today.
The new Pop Up dies are so versatile and fun to use! I used three of them for the card I am sharing today. I actually made a ton of the pop ups for the inside of my cards to have on hand. Now I can just quickly grab one as needed. I think they make greeting cards so special and fun!

For the card front, I started out with a stitched rectangle, and added the words from the Happy Birthday pop up. Then I cut out a flower from the flower pop up die, and adhered that on top.

I followed the directions here to make my pop up for the inside. I also cut some flowers out in purple gingham and green, and adhered them on top of the pop up flowers. Then I used the celebrate pop up and cut it out in more purple gingham.

Here's a list of the dies I used:

Don't Slam the Screen Door!

4:30 AM 0 Comments
Happy Saturday!  Cherry here for the CLDB!  I have a card to share today.

I used the Screen Door die for my main focal point.  Such a cute die with a real screen!! Too add more dimension I added thick foam to the back side of the door and the kitty cat.

I added the tags #1 and stamped a sentiment.

 I love the kitty cat!

I gave the edges a bit of  ink for aging.  To frame out the door I used the Dutch Doily rectangle frame.

             That screen is the cutest!!!!!

 Thanks for visiting, Cherry

Birthday Owls by Jenny Alia

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Hi Cheery Lynn fans!  I'm back today with a girly birthday card.  My ten year old daughter has a friend who apparantly HAD to have an owl card for her birthday.  This is the result.

I covered the clockwork middle parts of the owl bellies with glitter paper and glued on black rhinestones for eyes.  The owls were also popped up with foam dimensional tape.
