1:30 AM 0 Comments
Hello crafty friends and Happy Tuesday to you all! Today I have a super special wedding card to share using the NEWLY released Cheery Lynn 3-D Pop Up Dies and some past dies as well. Love how this wedding card turned out for today. I also did the inside as well :) I truly LOVE all these new Pop Up dies, and can't wait to share them all with you!

On the front of my card I chose to use the Celebrate Pop Up die, and cut it in white. Next I layered using some wedding design paper and black card stock. Each layer has sewing on it. I also used the quadrafoil-square-doily-die-set-DL314 cut in white, then layered with another layer.  On top of that I used the Vintage Tile die cut in black two times and layered. On top of that is the Wedding Cake Shaker piece, love it! I did layering on it as well using the Olive Branches, and the Tiny Flowers kit.

For the inside I cut some of the matching design paper and then used the Best Wishes Pop Up on that, then layered it on some grey card stock and placed inside my card.

Celebrate with Roses Card

3:30 AM 0 Comments
A warm hello to you. Glad to see you here. It's Debbie with you  from Debbie's Time Out. Today I am sharing a card with you combining the Step Card die with the Pop Up "Celebrate" die.

I started  with the A2 Fancy Step Card as my base. I cut the Pop Up Celebrate  from a piece of flowered paper and layered it to the center of the step card. The "Celebrate" was inked up with distress inks.  I cut a piece of flowered paper to fit behind the scrolls of the step card.

Here I lave layered three different die cut outs to the center of the step card. The Fleur De Lis Square DoilyDusty Miller Square and the Vintage Tile in that order.

Next came the flower arrangement. All were cut in white and inked with distress inks. I placed two of the  Tiny Fanciful Flourish on two corners opposite each other. I then created roses using the medium- Rose and the Tea Rose small. I added a couple of yellow Darling Daisies  to each side of the rose. I cut and used the Branch as greenery around the flowers. This is a simple card to make  but with the fancy step card and the dies I choose to use it turns out to be a very elegant card that anyone would love to receive.  Until next time have a crafty day my friends.

Hearts 3-D Pop Up Valentines Day Card with Cheryl Walker

1:30 AM 0 Comments
Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Friday & Happy early Valentine's Day to you all! Here is the Hearts 3-D Pop Up card I did for Valentine's Day using not only the pop up die, but a few other Cheery Lynn Dies as well. I have been enjoying my time in the craft room working with all these beautiful dies.  It's been really nice to get back down here crafting again. Seems like I had too long of a break. hehehehe

On this Hearts Pop Up card, I did the card base again in white.  Yes, I know lots of white lately...hehehehehe.  I need to work on that. Anyway, I did cut the hearts out again in the coordinating design paper polka dots and added them to the hearts on the top. I also stamped Happy Valentine's Day. Next I worked with 4 layers, then layered the Vintage Tile, Swans Border, and Love Tags. I added some bows and pearls and this card is complete. The design paper is from my stash and was leftover scraps I chose to use up. I'm trying to work on using up the scraps, as we get so many of those.  Then they get put in a box and I end up forgetting about them :)

Hearts Pop Up Card with Cheryl Walker

1:30 AM 0 Comments

Hello Crafty Friends, and happy Wednesday to you all!
Today's card was designed for Cheery Lynn Designs using the New Pop Up Hearts and a few other Cheery Lynn dies to make this sweet Valentine card. I really am loving these, and enjoy working with these new Pop Up dies.  They are super fun and add that extra embellishing to your cards.

On this card here I chose to use the Hearts, as it's for Valentine's day. The LOVE tags fit perfectly with the theme here. I also used Pebbles "Yours Truly" design paper stack for each layer on my card.

For embellishing on my card I used some white and pink twine for the love tags and then added some embellishments to the bows on each end. For the pop up hearts I used viva pearl pen to create the dots.

I had a lot of fun designing this card, and can't wait to share another pop up card with you all!

Celebrate NEW 3-D Pop Up Card with Cheryl Walker

1:30 AM 3 Comments

Hello crafty friends.  Today I am excited to share this double Pop Up card I created using the New Cheery Lynn Pop Up Dies. I LOVE these dies, they are so fun to work with, and they give our cards that little extra embellishing they need. I have been working on several cards this past week using these beautiful dies, and I have to say I LOVE them all!

This next photo is of the inside of my card. I wanted to use another Pop Up die, and chose the beautiful flowers to use on the inside. They were cut in white and then colored using copic markers.

For today's card I chose to use the Celebrate on the front, as this is a birthday card, and then I added the Birthday banner to it by the bow. Next I added the Vintage Tile for the backdrop for the Flourishes and Tiny Flowers. I think I'm addicted to these sweet little flowers, they are absolutely beautiful! The flowers were cut using the coordinating design paper in the orangy/coral color. I added some distressing and then some gems to the centers. All layers have sewing on them as well :)

Sweet Little Baby of Mine Card with Bonnie Garby

3:30 AM 1 Comments
Hi everyone.  Bonnie here from Make Time to Craft today with a pretty card for a baby boy featuring some of the new dies from the Cheery Lynn Designs Vintage collection.
This is one of those cards that I just couldn't get right.  Honestly it almost ended up in the garbage, but I decided to share anyway.  Now I'm not saying it's a disaster, but it just needs 'something' and I couldn't pinpoint what.  And I really did try.  You have no idea how hard I tried!  I think it's a color thing, but I could not resolve it to my satisfaction....
Anyway, I went with it anyway mainly because I love the background I created with the new Vintage Tile die and I wanted to show you how I did it.  I will be using this technique again for sure.

Cheery Lynn Dies used:
B777 Floral Bouquet kit
XM4 Circle
CASO20 Nesting Doll Circle Shapes
CABD-109 Nesting Doll Tags #1

I topped my card off with a pretty bi-color bow created on my Bow-it-All V3.0 Tool using Blue Topaz and Royal Blue Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  There is also a piece of Royal Blue Ribbon topped with Baby Feet Multi Grosgrain Ribbon running across the center of the card under the pram.

The flowers were cut, shaped and assembled using pieces from the Floral Bouquet kit and the flower centers are 10mm flat back pearls.  The flowers were added to the card under the pram medallion.

For the card background I created with the Vintage Tile die, I cut four tile pieces out of white cardstock that was backed with Stick It adhesive for ease of adhering it to the card.
Take two pieces and overlap them as shown above matching the center points on the sides.  I do this on a cutting mat so it's easy to have everything properly aligned.  I have used low tack tape to hold the pieces.
Then I used my acrylic ruler and rotary cutter and cut right through the middle to they will align perfectly.
I used some of the quick drying Designer Dries Clear glue and glued the edges together and then I did this again with the other two pieces.
Then take the two groups of two pieces and align the same way matching the center points on the sides.  Align your ruler through the middle again and cut.
This will give you a large background perfect for a 5-1/2" square card.  I love to find different ways to use my dies to stretch their functionality.  This makes it easier for me to justify my purchase.
As you can see, it's not perfect, but since it's not my main focal point (at least not the center of it), nobody will ever know.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope I've inspired you to try to find additional ways to use some of your dies.  Happy crafting!

Just Because Card with Cheryl Walker

12:30 AM 1 Comments
Hello everyone and Happy Wednesday to you all! Today I'm super excited to share with you all some of the dies from the Sweet New Veriloquent Vintage Cheery Lynn Release. LOVE LOVE LOVE this release!!! There are so many beautiful vintage dies in this release, and this card shows 4 of them. I will list them all below for you :)
 Cheery Lynn Designs Dies:
B881 Old Leather Books ( I chose to use them up at the top as banners)
B888 Flourish Frame ( small frame used for the sentiment)
B886 Vintage Tile(used behind the hot air balloon)
B897 Vintage Hot air balloon

On my card I chose to use some design papers from Graphic45 as I thought this would match perfectly, as there is a hot air balloon on the design paper. This is the 'Come Away with Me' paper stack. Next I LOVE all the dies in this collection and figured I would try to use as many as I could on this card. I added some liquid Viva Pearls to the hot air balloon and the books. I wanted to do something different with the books, so I used them as banners on my card :) I truly enjoyed creating this one, and hope you enjoyed my post for today :)
Hugs to all,
Cheryl

Life Moments by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi everyone, it's JULIE here hosting the blog today and I am sharing some more inspiration with the fabulous new release of Vintage Dies, gosh I'm loving this new collection so much. My card today would also look great as a scrapbook layout and could easily be made more feminine in design by changing the colours and adding a few flowers.

I started by adding some film strips to my cardstock, distressing the card at the edges and adding some Distress ink. I positioned my film strip die on my photos and cut them, this way they were the perfect size to insert into the film strip.

I matted and layered my centre dies, cutting one out in the dark red to make my Design 'pop', adding a stamped sentiment and foam strips between my layers for added dimension.

My Vintage Camera was highlighted with a silver pen on the embossed areas, I also added a touch of Gilding wax onto the concertina area to look like old leather. I layered up the front and back areas 3 times to give added dimension, paper piecing these bits together in a similar way I built my Gramophone which you can see HERE.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you feel inspired by my card.
Crafty Hugs,

CAS Vintage Card Set with Laurie Schmidt

12:30 AM 1 Comments

Hi everyone!

Laurie here from Stamping Up North sharing a clean and simple card set that I made with the new Veriloquent Vintage dies. I love this new collection!

Two of my favorites are the Dusty Miller Square and the Vintage Tile. Each one is so beautiful on it's own, but I also like them together.
I decided to use them to make my set of cards. I cut a Dusty Miller Square out in lavender, blue and red, topped them with a Vintage Tile, and added a matching enamel dot in the centers.
Then I just stamped a different sentiment on each one and they were done!

I love the detail on each of these dies. In the card above you can see that I cut off the side scrolls on the Vintage Tile, which also gave it a different look.

Be sure to check out the rest of the new Veriloquent Vintage collection here, there are so many beautiful dies in this release!

Here's the list of the dies I used:
