Thank You Card with Maggi

3:30 AM 0 Comments
Nothing says thank you better than a handmade card!  This is a large 7.5" x 6" card.  The base is simple cream cardstock and then I added several layers.  First a simple rectangle layer, then a layer cut with the Coved Rectangle Stitch Nesting Set.  Next two different sized cuts with the Rectangle Scalloped LG Purple Stackers Nesting Dies.

In the left corner I added the Victorian Romance Flourish Die.  This is such a pretty cut, it really adds a little pizazz to my card I think.  The thank you sentiment is the Thank You 2 Piece Die Set .

On the right I used the Inkwell & Quill 2 Piece Die Set.  I really love this die, it's so fun and so vintage!  And of course I had to add some flowers.  I used the medium and large rose die sets to created these gorgeous roses.  These are the best rose dies I have used.  It's so easy to make a really pretty rose with these dies because the die cuts 7 pieces at once.  With one cut you have all the layers you need to assemble these gorgeous roses.  No more repetitive cutting!

You're Beautiful Card with Cheryl Walker

1:30 AM 5 Comments
Hello everyone, today I have this sweet little card I made using Cheery Lynn's gorgeous dies! I love these Floral Bouquet Kit flowers, they are so easy and fun to make! I hope you enjoy my post today :)

Floral Bouquet Kit die B777- I cut them out with coordinating design paper, and distressed them quickly, then added a pearl to the centers and hot glued them to my card.

Flourish #8 - cut out in coordinating design paper and glued to my card. Super easy!

Sentiment Layer was done using the DL282 Alpine Flourish Doily cut in a white shimmer card stock.  Next I layered the Pierced Stacker #2 XL20 and that was cut in matching design paper. For the actual sentiment layer, it is the Oval Classic M-7 die. I distressed it and stamped my Project bin sentiment on it.

Bow was designed using the Really Reasonable Ribbon monthly club kit for June.
My card came together super quickly as I was so busy prepping for our trip next month that I almost forgot this one, so I made this last minute last night. Hope you all like it :)
Thank you for looking and have a lovely day!
Hugs to all,
Cheryl

Cheery Lynn Happy 4th of July Cupcake by Laurie Schmidt

12:30 AM 1 Comments

Laurie here from Stamping Up North sharing a 4th of July card with you today featuring Cheery Lynn's sweet cupcake die.

Cupcakes have been so popular the last few years, the flavors and designs are endless. I love going to our hometown cupcake store and picking some out for special occasions. It's always so hard to choose! I was inspired by some cute red ,white and blue cupcake liners to make this 4th of July cupcake for my card.

I added a bow from the Christmas Wreath set.and some little pierced stars for decorations. I love the swirl design on the cupcake icing, and thought about doing some inlaying. Instead I kept it all red so the stars would really show. I backed it on a pierced circle, and added a few more stars and an enamel dot in the center of the bow. I didn't add a sentiment, as there was already one on the designer paper.

I had so much fun with this card, that I made a bunch more...birthday cupcakes, Christmas cupcakes, and some Halloween. I'm putting together a set and hope to share them soon!

Here's a list of the dies I used:

Sending you Sunshine

4:30 AM 1 Comments
Hi there folks!  Cherry here today to share a sweet happy card.
I just cannot get enough yellow this year!
I used the Coved Rectangle Classic Stackers to create the shape of my card.
From there I added ribbons and my sentiment and my sweet flower die. This die is just so cute.  It adds the cutest homespun look.  From there I added my Sun and Cloud die.  Adding a bit of foam adhesive really brings the die cuts to life! Well that's it for me, thanks for visiting the Cheery Lynn blog.  Cherry

Thanks Teacher by Jenny Alia

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Hi, it's Jenny here today! I'm happy to be sharing a thank you card I created for my daughter's teachers.  Once I found the cute design paper in my stash and matched colors, this card was a snap to make.  I ended up making a few and they all came out slightly differently but I liked the colors on this one best and my daughter insisted we add the worm to her reading teacher's card.

I cut the apple and backed it with white paper.  On this one I actually glued in the letters after but for a similar look and a faster card gluing another paper underneath gives a similar effect.  I double layered the ABC as well.  Much like the card I created in my last post I only used three dies.  The apple was adhered with foam tape for dimension.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today!
Hugs, Jenny

Congratulations on Your New Baby Card

3:30 AM 1 Comments
Hi there.  It's Bonnie here with you today from Make Time to Craft.  I was in the mood for some pinks and purples, so I whipped up a pretty card to welcome a new baby using some pretty dies from Cheery Lynn Designs.
I love to use a pretty frame die for my background and today I selected the 'Quatrefoil A2 Frame 1' die.  I layered that over a gorgeous piece of Distress Ink paper that I made using pinks and purples.
My pretty flower and foliage cluster was created with my all-time favorite 'Floral Bouquet Kit'.  For the centers I used a plush covered button on the large flower and some gingham covered buttons on the smaller flowers.  These flowers are so easy to create.  Just cut them, do a little shaping of the leaves with a stylus and foam pad and then just stack them and add a center embellishment.

CABTRF19 Butterfly 19

I topped my card off with a pretty bi-color bow made on my Bow-it-All V3.0 using 5/8" Sherbet and Royal Blue Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I added a pretty heart shaped pearl embellishment to the center of the bow.  I also added a small butterfly to the right of the sentiment to balance things out a bit.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.
What crafty things have you been working on this weekend?

Dreams by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 2 Comments

Hi everyone, it's JULIE here today hosting the blog and today I am sharing inspiration using one of Cheery Lynn's beautiful Cardmaker Dies. These Dies are amazing at forming the background to your card and give a lovely elegant touch.

I started by cutting out my Cardmaker Die and heat Embossing some Stampendous Shabby Blue onto the edges and layering onto my patterned paper.

My centre sentiment was stamped and some Embossing powder added to the edges to help frame it. Next I mounted onto my frame with foam strips.

My bird was shaded with Distress Inks and a Fineliner pen, nesting it along side my foliage and Daisies.

My large Shasta Daisies were shaded with ink and shaped on my Embossing mat. I added a small foam ball to the centres along with a layer of glue and Flower soft into the centres.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Summer Smile Card by Amy Voorthuis

3:00 AM 1 Comments
Good morning lovely Cheery Lynn Fans.
For today I have another card to share. This time it's made with my favorite color {purple}! For my card I used some pretty papers by 49 and Market. I also added a cute fairy with purple shades and flowers around her. For this card I used some of my precious flower dies by Cheery Lynn Designs.

Summer Smile:
The flower centers are just home decor art stones that I treated with gesso, and some prima waxes. I also made a tear in my card and stitched a thread through after I punched holes in it.

For my flowers I used some of my all time favorite flowers dies by Cheery Lynn.  The centers of my little flowers are made with some cute bubbles stones I had in my stash. I finished my card by spraying two colors of Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays on it.
 Cheery Lynn Designs dies used:
B338 - Black Eyed Susan Strip
C184 - Judys Blooms
B434 - Sweet Christine
SF-3 - Stacker Flower #3
B574 - Summer {set of 2}
B502 - Smile {set of 2}

Thank you so much for visiting the blog today!
I hope you enjoyed my post and I have inspired you to use your Cheery Lynn Designs dies.
Have a wonderful and lovely weekend!

Just For You by Debbie Brownmiller

3:30 AM 0 Comments
Hello, it's Debbie from Debbie's Time Out hosting the blog today.  Today I am doing a quick and simple card for you.
For a quick card it helps to use a pretty paper for the background to build on. In this case it gave me some beautiful flowers and color to perch the bird on.
Here I have just cut a bigger oval from the background and then cut a smaller oval from the  Oval Stitch and Cut tool set. I really like the difference the stitching makes around the oval. Then the sentiment Just For You Oval  fit perfectly in the center.
The birds perched in the flowers and on the sentiment are from the Birds of Earth and Sky  set. The butterfly is from the  Tiny Things with Wings  set. So when you need a card fast, this type of card is quick and easy to create.

Thanks for visiting the blog today and for all the comments you leave. They are always appreciated. Have a crafty day my friends.

Cute as a Button With Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Hi everyone! Welcome back to a new card for Cheery Lynn Designs! I wanted to make a card for a little boy using mostly buttons. I then decided to make it a fun shaker card by using some pierced circles too. It was inspired by a friend who brought her son to work for all of us to oooh and aaah! Adorable baby!

The patterned paper is from Lawn Fawn and the sentiment was printed on the computer. I added some fun shaker beads (red and teal) in the center to match the paper.

There are pop dots behind the buttons for a 3D effect.

An Inspiration Tag with Maggi

3:30 AM 2 Comments

Hi there Cheery Lynn fans, Maggi here today.  Sometimes I like to spread a little cheer with an inspirational card or tag.  I usually choose a tag for my inspirational gifts and I like to attach them to a nice bottle of wine or other fun little gifts, like chocolate.  ðŸ˜Š  I used lots of pretty Cheery Lynn Designs die cuts from Graphic 45's  Midnight Masquerade collection to make this tag.  I started by cutting  two different size layers with the Horizon Oval Boutique Stacker Frames Die  set as a base for my sentiment card.

You have to have flowers right?  I used the flower dies from the  Floral Bouquet Kit 8 Piece Die Set to make these colorful pretty blooms.  They're easy to make, just stack several layers of blooms.  Give the petals a twist with your tweezers to give the flower some dimension and body.
Be sure to tuck in some leaves to finish off your floral clusters.  I've used our Tropical Flourish Die to create leafy vines around my flowers.  I love how that looks!  Then top your tag with a pretty bow and you're all set with a delightful tag that's sure to bring a smile to the recipient of your kindness!

Sweet William Card with Cheryl Walker

1:00 AM 1 Comments
Hello everyone and Happy Monday to you all!
Today I have a card created for Cheery Lynn using the beautiful Sweet William Strip Flower die, along with a few other fun dies :)

I started with picking some design paper, and after that I knew what I wanted to do. The Sweet William Flowers are so pretty and I thought they would look perfect cut with the coordinating design paper from this line. I used Crate Paper line for this card. I did distress each flower, and kept them single layers, and added a pearl to the center of each one. Pearls used are 8, 10, 12 mm pearls.

The layers I cut are the Royal Scandinavian Doily die, LPC4 Circle die, Flourish #8 die, and of course the beautiful sweet William Strip die.

Cheery Lynn Dies Used:
Royal Scandinavian Die DL280
LPC4 Circle die,
Flourish 8 die
Sweet William Strip die B307

The ribbon, fabric button, and pearls are all from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I love how this card turned out, and so glad I pulled some of my older design papers out to use. It's nice to use them up, and it's like having new papers again...hehehhehe
Thank you for looking and hope you enjoyed today's post!
Have a nice day!
hugs to all,
Cheryl

Beach Bum by Laurie Schmidt

12:30 AM 1 Comments

Hi everyone!

Laurie here from Stamping Up North, back with another summer themed card to share.

It's been raining and dreary the last few days up north, so I decided to make a cheerful, sunny card.

My thoughts drifted to the beach, and I made a little beach scene with the Surfs Up set. I added some sand by using just a small piece of a pierced circle tucked behind the wave. The tiny flower with the cute smile is from the Oval Companion set. I added the Whimsical Sun and Clouds, and backed everything on a pierced circle and scalloped rectangle.

Here's a list of the dies I used:

Sunflower Thank You by Jenny Alia

3:30 AM 2 Comments

Hi everyone!  It's Jenny here today hosting the blog.  I've been in a summer cardmaking mood lately and I wanted to play with my sunflower die and some new-for-me rust effect paints.  I cut four of the sunflowers adhering the layers together with foam tape.  The black centers were created using a black paint pen.

Lately I'm using more black in my cards.  I love the striking contrast when using light accent colors. I sponged the flowers with distress ink, painted the petals with a shimmery acrylic and then brushed two colors of rust effect paint on top.  The thank you circle was just cut and colored with distress inks.
