Snappy Birthday! with Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Hello! Welcome back to another fun card using lots of Cheery Lynn Designs die cuts! I felt like making a birthday card since today is my birthday. I also thought about making this card for a friend that I know that happens to have his birthday today too. Only problem is he is 20 years younger....

I used an oval for my water, cat tails, reeds, wood, and clouds. Plus the fabulous crocodiles with tiny pearls on their back, nose and eye. Little white dots were dabbed on the cat tail. There is a bit of gloss on the raindrops. I wasn't thinking sad birthday but I wanted to add some extra blue on the card. There is grass on the inside.

The sentiment was printed on my computer.

A Blessed Easter with Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Good morning! I hope every one is having a wonderful day. I wanted to share one more card for the upcoming Easter holiday. This card is focused more on the religious side using a beautiful cross die cut by Cheery Lynn Designs

I wanted to create the card and with several layers. I used Fiona's Magic Mirror, A Stitched Rectangle, then a Stitched Oval before the Cross. A used the rabbit form Nesting Eggs and added pearls for the eye and tail. There are little eggs in the corner with beautiful flowers and leaves. I also had to use the Dove because it makes me think of heaven.

Have a wonderful day!

Merry Christmas Wreath by Debbie Brownmiller

3:30 AM 0 Comments
A warm hello to you.  It is Debbie from Debbie's Time out with you today.

I wanted to create a card a bit more on the masculine side today. I did a lot of inking and distressing on the base.  I then cut a stitched oval shape from the Oval Stitch and Cut tool .

I layered the Merry Christmas Pine  Partridge Sentiment  onto the oval. From the Fancy Reindeer  set I choose to use the jumping reindeer and the reindeer head to layer onto the card. This reindeer set has several dies in the set with beautiful detail as you can see. I layered a couple of holly leaves from the Holly Leaves  set. I finished them off with some glittery berries.  What a great masculine card using this reindeer set from Cheery Lynn Designs.

Thank You for visiting the blog today and for the comments you leave.
Have a crafty day my friends.

Just For You by Debbie Brownmiller

3:30 AM 0 Comments
Hello, it's Debbie from Debbie's Time Out hosting the blog today.  Today I am doing a quick and simple card for you.
For a quick card it helps to use a pretty paper for the background to build on. In this case it gave me some beautiful flowers and color to perch the bird on.
Here I have just cut a bigger oval from the background and then cut a smaller oval from the  Oval Stitch and Cut tool set. I really like the difference the stitching makes around the oval. Then the sentiment Just For You Oval  fit perfectly in the center.
The birds perched in the flowers and on the sentiment are from the Birds of Earth and Sky  set. The butterfly is from the  Tiny Things with Wings  set. So when you need a card fast, this type of card is quick and easy to create.

Thanks for visiting the blog today and for all the comments you leave. They are always appreciated. Have a crafty day my friends.

Shabby Chic Easter with Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 3 Comments

Hello everyone! Can you believe it is almost Easter? Time is flying by this year.... Today, I wanted to make an Easter card for Cheery Lynn Designs. It is a shabby chic card and I added some ribbons and lace to it. The fun part of this card was making these hugs eggs by using 2 dies. I used the "deutschland doily in the center and layered the " Oval stitch " on the top and cut. Behind the doily I added blue cardstock.

The little eggs are a stamp and I used the largest egg from "bird nest" to cut them out, then I distressed the edges. The sentiment was stamped in matching ink and I fussy cut the flag. Easy, fun card to make for the holiday.

Bird Song Card with Corina Finley

3:30 AM 2 Comments

Hello and Happy last Thursday of February!

I am here, Corina, to host the blog for the Thursday between the Challenges. This week I have noticed that the snow has started to melt and Spring is just around the corner!

I started off my card by stamping and embossing my image onto water colourpaper. I used distress inks and a water pen to colour in my image. I spritzed the background with water for a vintage distressed look. I then used a Pierced Stacker #3 die to die cut the image.

I have added small flower centres from the Tiny Flower Kit set and a flat back pearl to each of the stamped flowers for dimension.

I cut two layers for the base using the Rectangle Stitch and Cut die set. I stamped the sentiment onto a light coloured pattern paper and heat embossed in black. I then die cut the sentiment and matte with the Oval Stitch and Cut set.

I have also added to the front of the card, three flowers and fussy cut branches -left over from the stamped image. I used a Clear Glitter Wink of Stella Pen for a finishing touch.
