Picture Perfect LOVED card with Cheryl Walker

1:30 AM 1 Comments
Hello crafty friends and Happy Monday to you all! Feels good to be back in my craft room crafting.  I have been trying to get everything organized, and that seems to take awhile. Anyway, I created this sweet card for today using one of the New Release Dies from Cheery Lynn Designs. I LOVE this darling camera, it's called Picture Perfect, and thought it would be super cute with a sentiment on the bottom part of where the photo normally is.

For the card base I chose white card stock, and it measures 5 1/2" x 5 1/2".  Next I found this sweet deign paper in one of the paper stacks I have, and did 3 layers of it. I did add some sewing as well. The camera was cut using another design paper from this same paper stack, and love how it turned out. I added some bling to the camera, as I thought it would be cute. The photo part was also cut using three design papers, and then white. I think it turned out sweet.

I did add the darling Cheery Lynn Designs Sophia's Heart Mini Doily behind the camera . Lastly I added some more bling to my card and a big bow.

Its nice to be back in a clean almost fully organized craft room. I still have some more organizing to do, as Ive been doing a little each day :)

Cheery Lynn Retro Television card set with Laurie Schmidt

12:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi everyone! Laurie here from Stamping Up North. I'm back with another set of cards I made with Cheery Lynn's new retro release.
Cheery Lynn Designs - Retro Television Die Set - 4 Die Set - B943
I used the Retro Television die set....I actually had some patterned paper that matched perfectly for my first card. Yay!

I cut a wonky retro shape freehand to back the TV on. Then I added the word "Cool" form the Retro Rhetoric die set...it sure has some fun sentiments!

I added the stars from the Retro Rocket and Retro Signs die set. Aren't they all awesome sets? I have been making tons of cards with this new Retro release!

The second card is very similar, but I used a different patterned paper and Cheery Lynn's stitched rectangle to back it all on.

A Good Friend by Jenny Alia

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi I'm back with another card using some of Cheery Lynn's new Retro Release dies.  I started by wanting to use this Retro Rocket die on a tag.  It's probably the die I was most excited to use from this release as it's perfect for guy cards and those are always tough for me.  But I thought I'd try something different so I switched up colors and created a more girly card using what are traditionally probably thought of as a more masculine die.

Rock & Roll Jukebox

Hi Cheery Lynn fans.  Bonnie from Make Time to Craft here with you today sharing another card using one of the new dies from the Let's Go Retro release from Cheery Lynn Designs.

Today I used the Rock & Roll Jukebox set and I kept it pretty clean and simple.  This set has pieces so that you can easily cut all the parts out in the colors of your choice and then adhere them to the base.  Easy peasy.

I added the sentiment to the upper left corner and then some simple dove-tailed ribbon banners using ribbon from the April Ribbon Club Assortment from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
Thanks so much for stopping by today and happy crafting!

Hi everyone, it’s JULIE here today and I am sharing some more inspiration with our latest release - Let’s Go Retro.

My card measures approximately 6 x 6 inches. I started by adding my 2 Stacker base layers onto my card and some stars which I outlined with a glitter pen to give depth to them. I next added on my moon with a Visible Image sentiment stamped in the centre.

My rocket was cut out in glitter card and white cardstock which was shaded with Copic pens.

My cute robot was cut in Miri card and Glitter Card adding lots of little gems onto her.

The Perfect Blend

3:30 AM 0 Comments
A warm Hello to you. It's Debbie from Debbie's Time out hosting the blog today.

Here is another Pop Up card using the Pop Up Thanks .  This is a quick and simple card using the Brew Can Do It  set for the cups. These coffee cups are really priceless especially when you have nice pattern paper like this to create nicely designed cups.

The banner is  the largest from the Horizon Fishtail Banners set of three. I printed the sentiment on to the banner. With the background paper and a few pearls using a pearl pen it left the cups being the focal point.

This is the inside with the pop up Thanks. I layered a piece of matching paper to the inside as well.

Thank you for visiting the blog and for the comments you leave.
Have a crafty day my friends.

"I Robot" with Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi! Welcome back to another card using the new release from Cheery Lynn Designs! These new retro die cuts are really adorable and I love how this card is perfect for a boy. It is really hard for me to make cards that do not have flowers, ribbon, or pearls. So, if you are looking to find something for boys these new die cuts are perfect for you!

The robots, the small circle and the rocket have pop dots behind them all. Lots of tiny details but worth the end result.

Hope you enjoyed!
Have a great day!

Cheery Lynn's Cozy Kitchen set with Laurie Schmidt

12:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi everyone, Laurie here from Stamping Up North. Today I'm sharing a card I made with Cheery Lynn's awesome new retro release. I chose to use the Cozy Kitchen Dies set.... I can't decide which I like best, the apron, the mixer or the stove!

Cheery Lynn Designs - Cozy Kitchen Die Set - 13 Die Set - B941

I guess one reason why I like this set is because I love to bake, and besides stamping, it's how I spend a lot of my free time. Today I'm sharing a card, but I'm thinking I will be making some recipe cards and tags along with this set soon, too!

I went with pink and black for a retro look. I pieced the stove together and adhered it onto a Cheery Lynn stitched square, right next to the sentiment. Then I tucked a Mandy Doily behind it, and an apron along side. I used a couple of flowers from the Mandy Doily die for embellishments too.

Here's a list of the dies I used:

Classic Car Card with Cheryl Walker

1:30 AM 0 Comments

Hello Crafty Friends and happy Thursday to you all! Today's super sweet card was designed for Cheery Lynn Designs using their new release called " Let's Go RETRO".  LOVE this release, it's absolutely darling!  For my card today I chose to use the Classic Car die, and I love how it turned out, as it's so cute! All the dies in this release are so cute, if you haven't seen the dies in the release you will want to go check them out!

Classic Car die- was cut using a shimmery white card stock, and then dusted with a pink distress ink. Next I colored in the grey with a Copic marker, and then the darker pink for the lights. The steering wheel and mirror were colored with a black Copic marker and so were the tires.

Flourish & Tiny flower kit- I had a white flourish already cut and ready for me to color.  Then I cut out the pink flowers in the same white shimmer card stock and dusted them to match. For the centers I used the Viva Pearl pen.

Paris Sign- Cut in a grey card stock.  The Cool Cat was cut in white and dusted lightly in pink.

The design paper came from the paper stack called Forever & Always stack. I used it to create my 3 layers and the grey card stock in Bazzill shimmer card stock, it's absolutely beautiful in person, photos don't show it as well. Each layer has sewing in pink. I should have added some gems to the headlights but forgot, and had my photos all ready to go. Next time I will have to add some :)

Happy Camper by Jenny Alia

3:30 AM 2 Comments

Hi again!  I've been crafting up a storm with the new Cheery Lynn Retro Release dies. I have a girl scout, cub scout and boy scout in my house as well as another future cub. I envision  this Happy Camper die set getting a ton of use.  The lines on the camper make it easy to cut and paper piece so you can customize the color.  I also backed it with a silver metallic paper that shows through the windows.  The tire was colored with a black marker.

Thinking of You by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi Cheery Lynn fans, it’s JULIE here today and I am sharing some inspiration on a card that could be used for many occasions just by changing the sentiment.

My card measures approximately 6 x 4 inches and the paper pad  I have used is from Craft Consortium called Wild Rose. I started by adding my base layer onto my card and cutting my Doily in half from white cardstock.

My Tea Roses were also cut from the same patterned paper, shaping on my Embossing mat and adding a Gem into the centres. I bunched them together onto my card with a leaf flourish and my stamped sentiment.

Just for You Note Card by Bonnie Garby

3:30 AM 0 Comments
Hi Cheery Lynn die lovers!  Bonnie from Make Time to Craft here with you today sharing a pretty floral note card featuring some pretty dies from Cheery Lynn Designs.
I created by background by cutting the lattice die out of blue cardstock and layering it on a cream cardstock background.  I then ran a piece of brown ribbon across the center of the card, added the base of the sentiment frame, layered the tan swiss dots ribbon on that and then added the sentiment panel.

Next I pulled out my very favorite flower die set - the Floral Bouquet Kit, and cut the flower and foliage pieces.  I shaped them using a foam pad and stylus, assembled and added white half pearls for the centers.  I then arranged the floral cluster below the sentiment.

My card is topped off with a pretty bi-color bow created on my Bow-it-All V3.0 Tool using two of the ribbons from the April Ribbon Club Assortment from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Your Wedding Day

3:30 AM 1 Comments
A warm Hello to you. It's Debbie from Debbie's Time Out hosting the blog today.

For the base of this wedding card I have used the Window  and layered a pattern paper that reminds me of wallpaper behind it. To the top and bottom corner I layered the Victorian Romance Flourish which is so elegant. The bride and groom are from the Wedding Vows set.

I created some larger flowers using the Daisy Strip and smaller flowers using the Tiny Flower Kit. The leaves were from the Tea Rose small set. The flowers and leaves were inked with distress inks. Pearls were added to the flowers and flourish on the corner.

Inside I used the Pop Up Birthday Cake  after cutting the candles off of it. I layered the Border Carnivale  along the top of the cake to cover were the candles were. This birthday cake makes a great wedding cake too.
I then cut and glued down the Alpine Flourish Doily and stamped the sentiment on it.

It is always nice to make that special homemade card for a wedding.  So I hope I have inspired you into making a special wedding card.

Thanks so much for visiting the blog today and for the comments you leave.
Have a crafty day my friends.

Happy Shower with Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi, Welcome back for another new card for Cheery Lynn Designs. I originally was thinking about April showers and then I started to think about all the baby showers that are this month. So I combined the two into one card. I wanted to make it baby blues but with some girly accents.

I colored the rain drops and then added a glitter pen for extra shine. I also did that on the flourishes too. In the centers of the flowers is teal gala glitz. Be sure to get this adorable umbrella for your collection because it is on clearance.
