Brad the Reindeer by Laurie Schmidt

12:30 AM 2 Comments

Hi Cheery Lynn fans!

Laurie here with a Christmas card I made using some of the dies from Cheery Lynn's new Fall/Winter release. The new dies are AWESOME! I'm a big fan of holiday dies, and this release is full of cute images like Brad the Reindeer.

I decided to make him VERY festive and added the hat and glasses from the Men's die set. A bit of holly from the Christmas Wreath set, and a cute lil' bow from the Merry Christmas Gift Envelope set and he's ready to celebrate the holidays. I love the expression on his face!

The snowflake border is also new, I cut it out in bright red and adhered it to the side of the card. I have been using this border tons already...it's SO easy to cut and looks great on many styles of cards. It's very elegant cut out in silver and gold.

Here's a list of the dies I used:

Birthday Wished with Maggi

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Step cards are my favorite to make so today I am sharing a step card made with Cheery Lynn's Step Card Bundle Set #4.  This die set really makes step cards easy!  No measuring and cutting with a craft knife!
Here's a view of the card folded up.  I layered up two doiles and topped that with our Birthday Wishes Circle Die.

You know how much I love flowers and of course I had to add one to this card.  I used  Judy's Blooms Die to make this simple flower.  Just diecut 2 large blooms and one small bloom, give the petals a little shape with a stylus and stack and glue them up.  Top with a center and that's it!

Hello everyone, today I have a fun Christmas card I designed using the New Fall/Winter Release from Cheery Lynn Designs. I LOVE all the new dies in this release as they are all so beautiful/DARLING! To see them all, please visit Cheery Lynn Designs here.

Cheery Lynn Dies-
Penguin Pals B909
Cut and Emboss Snowflake E202
Sparkle Christmas Tree B913
Royal Scandinavian Doily

I started out by doing two layers of design paper and white card stock, then added the doily that was cut out in white on top. Next I layered all the Cheery Lynn dies starting with the beautiful trees that I cut out using the coordinating design paper then distressing with two green inks. I also added glitter to both trees using Stickles. My snowflake was cut using the same design paper, and just popped up using foam tabs. The sweet little penguin was cut out in white card stock tow times and pieced together after coloring. I also added Stickles to him on his hat.

Lastly I added a big white satin bow to complete my card for today.
Thank you so much for stopping by and hope you have a super awesome day!

Hugs
Cheryl

4:30 AM 1 Comments
Happy Sunday my fellow paper peeps!  Cherry here at the Cheery Lynn Blog.
Holding on to summer as long as I can. We still have some flowers left blooming.  With that I have a bright happy floral card to share using the Flourishing Flower Shaker die.
I layered it with both the Distressed Honeycomb die cut (which I layered twice) and the French Pastry Doily die cut.
I added leaves using the Rose Leaf die cut and
added a stamped sentiment  with the Nesting Doll Tag #2 set.

Thanks for visiting the Cheery Lynn blog today, Cherry

Hello by Jenny Alia

Hi friends!  Today I'm sharing a card I created after looking through my bin of leftover die cuts.  I've been doing some cleaning and I thought the best way to clean out is to use saved items.  The Wagon WheelChrysanthemum flowers and Dutch Daisy Border  were all previously cut and colored.  I cut the Ivy Strip out of patterned card stock.

The Hello is from the Bohemian Word Die Set .  I tend to use this set a lot, I just love the large hello and the font is both elegant and modern.  I cut the word twice to get the white shadow.  The center of the wagon wheel is a metal brad.  Last I added the butterfly because I thought the corner of the card looked a little too bare.

I hope you enjoyed my card and thank you for stopping by the blog today.  Make sure to check back on the 28th to join in the Cheery Lynn Blog hop to check out all the new Fall & Winter dies!

Happy Birthday Card with Bonnie Garby

3:30 AM 3 Comments
Hi fellow die lovers!  Bonnie here today from Make Time to Craft with another pretty floral birthday card featuring some pretty dies from Cheery Lynn Designs.  You can never have too many birthday cards in your stash.
This colorful card has a lot of pizzazz with just a few dies.  The Card Cover Maker #4 die creates a fabulous background when layered over a pretty piece of paper created with Distress Inks.  I layered that up on a few more layers since I love that look, and then finished it off with a layer of wispy white mulberry paper before attaching to my 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" card base.

Cheery Lynn Dies used:

My tea roses were created by cutting the petals in both pink cardstock and left over purple Distress Ink cardstock from my background.  I love the look of a two color rose.  I shaped the petals and assembled the roses and then mounted them below the oval sentiment panel.  The sentiment is a digital stamp from Graciellie Design from the Hello Gorgeous set.
I finished my card off with a pretty coordinating bi-color bow made on my Bow-it-All V3.0 tool using Rose Bloom and Regal Purple Delicate Stitched Satin from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  The center of my bow was adorned with a 10mm flat back resin embellishment.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Happy crafting!

The Dressmaker and Card Tutorial by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Hello everyone, it's JULIE here hosting the blog and today I am sharing a new style of card to "me" which I thought was a perfect style for my idea of a shop window. I had noticed this style of card being sold on the Craft Channels and thought I could easily makes this, so let me share with you how I made it.

I started by cutting 2 sheets of cardstock to measure 10 x 6 inches and then scored both sheets at 1.5", 2", 8" and 8.5". Next I glued my 6" square of paper in place on both my background layer and top layer. Once dry I die cut my aperture out using my Square Stacker Die, you will also notice I have added the Anastasia Border around the centre of my aperture and to the sides of my card. I also added strips of patterned paper onto my sides sections and glued both end panels on each side together.

My stylish ladies and dressmaker stamp from Crafty Individuals have been fussy cut and  glued onto my card with Silicone Glue.

I also added Die Cut flowers on to the Ladies clothes.

My sewing machine was Heat embossed with Black Frantage, adding some thread onto the spool and Gold Promarker pen onto the handle and base.

My corset was cut out in Maja papers, adding touches of lace and lots of pearls.

My dress I added lots of bling a tiny flower and placed onto my diecut hanger which was cut out in Kraft card adding a touch of Silver onto the hook.

My tailors dummy was also cut out in Kraft cardstock. I then layered my dress on with a touch of Silicone Glue behind to hold the curved shape, adding lace and more tiny flowers.

I finished with touches of cheesecloth, tiny buttons, scissors and bobbins of thread.

I hope you feel inspired to make a card like this which folds flat for posting. You could also use different shapes of your Stacker Dies to create different style aperture windows.

Happy Crafting,
Julie x

Just for You Card by Amy Voorthuis

3:30 AM 1 Comments
Hi Lovely Cheery Lynn Fans.
Today is my turn again on this wonderful blog and I would like to share a card this time. For this card I used serveral gorgeous dies that I haven't used before.  Some of them are older ones and some of them are newer ones and some are even on SALE at the moment. For this card I used different Maja Design papers and this time I went all girly again.

Just for You:
I really love the background dies that Cheery Lynn offers.  You can do so much with them. You can use them whole but you can also cut them up for more of a vintage style card or even a shabby chic card. This time I used the whole die but I know I will use it more often for other type of cards/layouts so stay tuned.

Lately I am more and more into the mixed media style...and for that style you can also use your Cheery Lynn Designs dies. Hopefully I will show you that in the near future with a video tutorial making more of those too ;-)

Antique Phonograph

3:30 AM 1 Comments
Hi.  It's Debbie back with you from Debbie's Time Out. Today I am going to share another card I did using a couple more dies from the new vintage release. I am featuring the Phonograph  and the  Distressed Honeycomb  which  are both from the new vintage collection.

For the card base I matted this beautiful lined  paper with roses onto black cardstock. The paper even has a few music notes on it so it was perfect to use with this phonograph. I layered the Distressed Honeycomb  to  the background. I also cut an extra Distressed Honeycomb and used it as a stencil to ink that pattern to the background as well.

Just look at the detail on this Phonograph  I cut it out of a few different colors and then layered accordingly to get the look I wanted.

Here I layered the Notes #1 and the Thank You  to the top corner.

This is the Whistle a Happy Tune  in gold. I just glued it in a couple of places so it curved and gave it added dimension

I thank you for visiting the blog today and hope I have inspired you to try out some of the new vintage dies. I just love this whole collection. Please take the time to leave a comment and tell me what you think.  Comments are always appreciated. Have a wonderful crafty day my friends.

Maggi's Friendship Card and Tutorial

3:30 AM 2 Comments
Hello friends! Today I'm sharing a friendship card that I made for all of my internet friends.  I have met so many wonderful people online through this obsessive hobby of mine!  Just last week, I traveled to Seattle to meet up with friends that I met via the internet and scrapbooking.

I used Graphic 45's new collection, Penny's Paper Doll Family, and several dies from Cheery Lynn Designs to make this simple card.  I started out with a card base that is 3 1/2" x 6" and then adhered a layer diecut with the  A2 Frames Rectangular Scalloped 7 pc Die Set.  At  the top and bottom I added paper lace diecut with the Dancing Doily Lace Border.  I topped that with a cut-apart from the Paper Doll collection.

I filmed a tutorial showing you how I put this card together.

Close up of the lacy border topped with pearls.

I made this pretty flower with the  Black Eyed Susan Flower die.  This is definitely a favorite die, I just love the floral center!  You can see how to make this flower in my video.

The inside is simple, leaving plenty of room to write a message.

I'm sending all of you cyber-smiles and thanking you for following me and leaving the kind comments that you do on my work!  💕

Hello crafty friends, and Happy Saturday to you all! Today I have this super sweet Shabby Chic card I created using some beautiful Cheery Lynn Dies. It was fun creating all the layers using different Cheery Lynn dies, so hope you enjoy my post for today.  I did try to keep this one short :)

To start with, I used this pretty Graphic45 design paper that I had sitting around in a container with some of my other baby design papers, and then started my layering on the second layer using Cheery Lynn's DL20 Royal Scandinavian Doily, then B889 Vintage Bracket Shape, B682 Quadrafoil Tag , B891 Ornate Crowns , B883 Dusty Miller frame corners, love how all the layers on this look.  It turned out so pretty with all layers using Cheery Lynn Designs Dies!

Lastly I added some Viva Pearls using the cream Viva Pearl pen. Love how easy this was to do.
