Coffee Gift Card by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Hi everyone, it's JULIE here today and I am sharing some more inspiration with our latest Fall and Winter Dies, I'm just loving this new collection. When I saw the coffee cup Die I thought this would be great to add onto a gift card, so let me show you how I made this.

My card measures approximately 4.75" x 6.25". I started by adding my Stacker layers on to the base along with a accent of glitter glue. Using the Gift Envelope Die I cut it out in patterned paper and placed a stamped sentiment and diecut snowflake onto it.

My coffee cup I added a diecut corrugated strip to the centre and my sweet Gingerbread man which comes in the Gift Envelope Set. This was layered onto my Snowflake Border.

On the inside I added a coordinating Snowflake Border, gluing in place leaving a space free to insert a gift card.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you feel inspired to make some cards like this for Gifts.

Brad the Reindeer by Laurie Schmidt

12:30 AM 2 Comments

Hi Cheery Lynn fans!

Laurie here with a Christmas card I made using some of the dies from Cheery Lynn's new Fall/Winter release. The new dies are AWESOME! I'm a big fan of holiday dies, and this release is full of cute images like Brad the Reindeer.

I decided to make him VERY festive and added the hat and glasses from the Men's die set. A bit of holly from the Christmas Wreath set, and a cute lil' bow from the Merry Christmas Gift Envelope set and he's ready to celebrate the holidays. I love the expression on his face!

The snowflake border is also new, I cut it out in bright red and adhered it to the side of the card. I have been using this border tons already...it's SO easy to cut and looks great on many styles of cards. It's very elegant cut out in silver and gold.

Here's a list of the dies I used:

You can check out the new release here. Thanks for stopping by!

Funny Dog Valentine with Laurie Schmidt

2:30 AM 1 Comments

Hi! Laurie here with a Funny Dog Valentine!

I couldn't resist.... last time I made Funny Dog into Christmas cards, but he is so versatile and FUN... I had to use HER for my Valentines too!

SHE's sitting in a pile of hearts ...notice the bow in her hair from the Merry Christmas Gift envelope set:)

I made the pile of hearts with the Bohemian Word set...the heart is in the middle of the word love. The other hearts are from the Sweetheart Candy set...I added 2 at the top.

A Country Christmas with GD Laurie Schmidt

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Laurie here from Stamping Up North with my last post as a Guest Designer for Cheery Lynn. It has been so much fun sharing my projects with you!

Today I have another Christmas card, which are my FAVE to make.  I don't know if you have been out shopping lately, but PLAID is everywhere. Especially the black and red for the holidays.

It inspired me to make a country Christmas card using plaid paper and my Cherry Lynn dies!

I started out with the Christmas Tree Shaker die and added a bow from the Christmas Wreath die set. The presents are from Whimsical Christmas. I added the sentiment and snowflake using the Christmas Gift envelope set.

Christmas Mini Album by Debbie Brownmiller

12:30 AM 1 Comments

Hello to all. It's Debbie from Debbie's Time out. Thanks for joining me today for our themed week of Christmas projects. I am showcasing two of the new Gift Envelopes that were released not long ago. They are the Merry Christmas and Winter Fun sets and have the cutest tiny festive dies for making mini albums.

I  use the Mini Book Hearts and Ribbons  , the Gift Envelopes and Page Tabs to create the cutest little mini album. I made a hidden hinge binding to attach all the envelopes to thus creating a few pages for my album. . You can see the Mini Book Hearts and Ribbons  binding I have used along the edge  of the book.

This is the inside cover and page one. I have cut the top flaps off the envelopes so I could insert a stitched page to put a photo on both sides of .  The page inserts are cut from the Square Stitch and Cut tool .  I have staggered little tabs to the envelope edges  using the Page Tabs  .

I have also put a photo matt on the back of each envelope for adding a photo. The dies used on the right are from the Merry Christmas Gift Envelope

The tiny die cuts I have used here are from the Winter Fun Gift Envelope . They work great for Christmas projects as well.

This is the last page.

Here is the back cover with a nice view of the binding and tabs. This is the cutest little Christmas mini album that will hold a total of nine photos. It would make the cutest little gift for that someone special.

Thanks so much for joining me today and I hope I have inspired you to get a few Christmas projects done ahead so you are not rushing at the last minute. I love working with dies and Cheery Lynn Designs has a huge selection of Christmas dies that you should check out..
