Christmas Tags with Maggi

3:30 AM 0 Comments

We all need quick this time of year and I've got just the project for you!  Bonus, it's a project you can have fun making with the kids too.  Just die cut a variety of shapes with Cheery Lynn Designs dies, assemble into cute little tags and you've got quick, but oh so cute gift tags that will give your gifts, that extra special something.

On this tag I used two ovals from the Oval Scalloped LG Stackers Nesting Dies 6 Piece Die Set and topped that with a Christmas tree diecut with the Christmas Tree Shaker Die.  The "to & from" words were die cut with the To And From Gift Envelope set.  Then I punched a hole at the top, added an eyelet and ribbon and it's ready to go.  Gift tags need to be quick and easy and this sure fits the bill.

Here's another tag that is built on a white scalloped oval diecut with the Oval Scalloped LG Stackers Nesting Dies.   Then I layered on a red  Royal Scandinavian Oval Doily, next a blue layer cut with Nesting Doll- Oval #2 5 Piece Die Set and finally topped with Patches The Snowman .

Now this moose is one of my favorites!  He's from the Merry Christmoose set.  He's layered over patterned paper die cut with the French Flair Pierce And Cut Tool  and the red cardstock base is die cut with the Horizon French Flair Boutique Stacker Frames.

Here's a view of the back of each tag.  The fun thing about tags is that you can use your scraps.   All my scraps are from Graphic 45's Winter Wonderland collection and I was so happy to have a used for all those little pieces of my cherished Graphic 45 papers!

Season's Greetings Card from Guest Designer Cherry Nelson

3:30 AM 1 Comments
Good morning paper peeps and happy 1st of December!  Cherry here from Cherry's Jubilee!  I am so excited to be guesting this month.  Christmas is my favorite holiday to create for so I was pretty ecstatic to join in with the Cheery Lynn girls for December.  I had so much fun getting to use some of these beautiful dies.  I have a Christmas card for you today.  I started off by cutting several layers from the Joy to the World wreath 3 piece die set.  I used several patterns for interest.

I absolutely love, love, love this wreath.  I will be using it a lot!  I framed it around my little Santa image and than layered it just a wee bit by adding snippets from the Fall Pumpkin Patch 3 piece die set along with a few little faux berries for color.  I adore the little details of the leaves.

I wanted more detail towards the bottom of my card so I added the Gauze Border Die.  I ran it through my machine and then snipped the edges to create a ribbon effect.

I was chomping at the bit to use one of the new dies from Cheery Lynn so I added the Christmas Tree Shaker die.

I adorned the tree with a little flourish from the Pumpkin Patch die and the Joy sentiment from the wreath set.  Once I added a bit of pretty seam binding and a jingle bell my card was complete.

Hope you enjoyed my card today!  See you again for my next guest post.   Cherry

A Country Christmas with GD Laurie Schmidt

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Laurie here from Stamping Up North with my last post as a Guest Designer for Cheery Lynn. It has been so much fun sharing my projects with you!

Today I have another Christmas card, which are my FAVE to make.  I don't know if you have been out shopping lately, but PLAID is everywhere. Especially the black and red for the holidays.

It inspired me to make a country Christmas card using plaid paper and my Cherry Lynn dies!

I started out with the Christmas Tree Shaker die and added a bow from the Christmas Wreath die set. The presents are from Whimsical Christmas. I added the sentiment and snowflake using the Christmas Gift envelope set.
