Feline Good Card with Cheryl Walker

1:30 AM 0 Comments
Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Tuesday to you all! Today I have this super darling card made with Cheery Lynn's DARLING dies, I just LOVE this Small Cat die, and the Mirror Mirror Doily frame I used for my sentiment. Well I love it all....hehehee.  I always love using fancy frames, and this Cheery Lynn die is perfect!

To start with I cut my Small Cat out using the coordinating Graphic45 design paper, how perfect this kitty is, she goes perfectly with the design paper. I did add some distressing, Viva Pearl pen for an eye, nose, and on the ears and tail. Next I distressed her using red ink.

Flowers on cat- I used the Tiny Flower Kit Die, and cut out some flowers to go along with my kitty. The greenery is the Flourish #8 Die, and I just cut a piece of it, and colored it green. All pieces were glued using the Best Glue Ever found at Cheery Lynn Designs, LOVE this glue, it's honestly a must have to any crafters collection!

Frame- I have to say this is one of my NEW favorites, not that its newly released, but new to my collection...hehehe.  It's perfect for layering, I will get a lot of use out of this one for sure. I used it to cut out a brown doily frame, it's dark brown.  Then I used the other 2 dies to cut coordinating design paper for my sentiment frame. All 3 pieces come in this die set, love that too! Stamp is from The Project Bin.

Heart-Sweetheart candy die was used for this. Cut in coordinating design paper. This die is perfect to use all year round.

Butterfly In- used for the corner, it's so pretty and comes out of the die so smoothly. Love that about Cheery Lynn's dies, they come out so easy, no poking and trying to get the delicate pieces out.

I did add some sewing in a coordinating color to each layer. and lastly I added a bow was made with Really Reasonable Ribbon Satin, for my embellishing on my card :)

Celebrate Easter with Cheryl Walker

1:00 AM 1 Comments
Hello Crafty Friends, Cheryl here with a sweet Pop Up Easter Card designed for Cheery Lynn Designs using some super darling dies they carry. LOVE the sweet bunny and chicks together, aren't they just darling???!!!! I think I used 9 Cheery Lynn Dies on this one...hehehe I really had a lot of fun designing this card to share with you all!

On my card I started with cutting the sweet bunny out using design papers for her. Next I did distress her and her dress.  She is so cute, love her! I will use her on other cards, not just for Easter. She does have one of the Tiny Flowers made from the tiny flower die. The chicks were cut using white card stock and then colored in with 2 yellow Copic markers. I can totally see them cut in a yellow batik or some kinda 2 tone yellow print card stock, and then distressed, that would be so cute. I did add eyes using the Viva Pearl Pen in black. Also another flower on one of the chicks.

Greenery was cut using the Olive branches and Flourish #3 dies, and cut with a olive tone card stock. I added little flowers made using the Tiny Flower kit to the greenery. I also used a LOVE Heart from the Sweetheart Candy die.

The frame was cut using 2 different dies for my scenery and sentiment. I chose to use the beautiful Mirror Mirror Doily Frame die, and the Scandinavian Oval Doily. Sentiment is from ODBD.

Cheery Lynn Designs Supplies Used:

Valentine Treat Bag by Debbie Brownmiller

3:30 AM 1 Comments
Hi there. It's Debbie with you today from Debbie's Time Out. With Valentines Day just around the corner I thought I would share a treat bag I created featuring the new Pop Up Hearts.

I started by cutting the Pop Up Hearts and then stapling it to a clear zip-loc bag. I layered some fancy hearts from the Heart to Heart Doily and the Two Of Hearts  behind the Pop-Up Hearts. I layered the Be Mine Teddy Bear  on top of the Pop-Up Hearts. I placed some of the Sweetheart Candy onto the bag. Most of these dies were inked up with distress inks for color.  I slipped a piece of printed paper inside the bag for more decoration. This is the perfect treat bag for putting a few valentine chocolates in. This new Pop-Up Hearts dies will make a beautiful card too or maybe even use it for a tag topper.

Thanks for visiting the blog today and for the comments you leave. I hope you take the time to create some valentines cards. I will be posting a cute man's valentine card on my next post so keep watching for it.

Valentine's Teddy Bear Card with Bonnie Garby

3:30 AM 2 Comments
Hi friends.  Bonnie here today from Make Time to Craft.  Today I have a sweet card to share that will be perfect for the one you love.  Cheery Lynn Designs has so many wonderful Valentine themed dies to choose from.  Be sure to head over and take a look at all the options.
My card base is a brown 5-1/2" square.  I cut the fancy Square Frame in cream cardstock and then adhered it to brown, pink, brown, mint and brown layers, leaving a thin border for each.  I then backed that with natural mulberry paper and attached it to the card base.

Then I cut the smaller Square Frame and layered it up again much the same as the base.  Then this was centered on point and adhered to the base layers.
I cut my Teddy Bear in brown and shaded with distress inks.  I added pink to the ears and paws and black for the nose and eyes.  I cut it again in pink so I could have the heart in pink and adhered this to the bear.  I also shaped the bear a bit with a stylus and foam pad for a little dimension.  I adhered the bear on foam tape for added dimension.

I cut the XOXOXO die in brown and adhered it to cream cardstock and then brown leaving a small border on each.  I then adhered that below the bear.  I also added a couple of the Sweetheart Candies shaded with distress ink on each side of the sentiment.

I finished my card off with a pretty bi-color bow using Pearl Pink and Sherbet Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  It's the perfect addition to balance the card and add a little interest.
Thanks so much for stopping by today and happy crafting!

Garden Of Love Valentine by Laurie Schmidt

3:30 AM 2 Comments
Hi everyone!

Laurie here sharing my first card today as a designer for Cheery Lynn. I'm so excited and happy to join this awesome team of designers for such a great company!

I decided to get started on some Valentines, and Cheery Lynn has some gorgeous dies to choose from! I started out with the Garden of Love, so pretty and intricate.
I cut off the word love, and used just the heart and swirls.
Then I added both of the Two of Hearts, and in the center adhered one Sweetheart Candy. That set comes with 8 candy hearts, each with a different saying. I have lots of plans for those cute hearts...they are SO adorable!!
I backed it all on a Celtic Rectangle Boutique Stacker. The sentiment is from the Love Gift Envelope set, which has 4 tiny sentiments that fit well on so many cards.

I added some tiny pearls to finish the card.

Sweet Love Card by Amy Voorthuis

3:30 AM 2 Comments
Good morning lovelies.
All back in the scrapping game again....as came home a little sick from my vacation. So I haven't been making anything for a while but it's to hard to resist those beautiful Cheery Lynn Design dies. This time I went for a simple card, in my perspective anyway. I used just plain cream card stock and for the dies I used the pretty "Vintage Romance"collection from Maja Design.

Sweet Love:
When I saw a cute card {a shaker card} somewhere online, I thought how "fun" that would be to make myself. I made one like ages ago when I first began to make cards and that is probably nine years ago.....oh wow I am getting old. This time I went with the B675 - Sweetheart Candy hearts to fill up my shaker part.

Sweethearts Card by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Hi everyone, it's JULIE hosting the blog today. Thanks so much for all your visits and lovely comments left on my blog on blog hop day. It was great to read them all and if you have not seen the amazing new embossing folder that compliments the IOE Plates please check it out HERE. You also still have plenty of time to join in the hop with a chance of winning a $20 shopping spree here at Cheery Lynn.

Today my card I am sharing with you all would be suitable for an Engagement, Wedding, Anniversary or even just to say I Love You. We all like to have a card in our stash that will cover a variety of uses should we need one in an emergency, which I think this design does.

I layered the French Lattice die cut over my patterned paper and edged with some Stickles for added sparkle. You will notice on my banner top layers I trimmed off the sides and top, tattering at the edges. I then layered on top of my base banners with foam tape, adding my cute Sweetheart Candy.

My flower was shaded with Distress ink adding a sparkly gem to the centre and mounted on to my Lattice Hearts and Vines along with some more Stickles.

Finishing off my card with the elegant Doves.

Wonderful Mother's Day

9:30 AM 0 Comments
This is the second post of the day.  Be sure to scroll down to see the card Bonnie shared as well.

A warm Hello to you today. I't Debbie from Debbie's Time Out.  I would like to wish all you Mothers out there an very Happy Mother's day and hope you have the most wonderful day on  Mother's Day.

I started this card buyplacing the English Tea Party Doily  in the center. I then made the tea cup as my focal point which I have explained below. I added the  Add a Flourish  which kind of looks like steam coming out of the cup and then tucked in a couple of the sentiment hearts. The Paris Sign  was layered on the top corner. I printed the sentiment out and then placed the Paris 4 sign die over top of the printed sentiment so I could layer it on top of the sign. I stamped on the Pierced Banners  and layered it along the bottom.

For this  Mother's Day card that I have created, I wanted to use a tea cup but didn't have a die for it so I used one of the vases  from the Vase (Set of 4 and the Paris Signs 4 - B550  to create this tea cup. I cut the top off the vase and used one of the flourishes from the Paris sign for the handle.  I think it turned out pretty cool. I used the Felicity Tiny Doily - DL243 folded in half to set the tea cup on.

These hearts are from the Sweetheart Candy  die set and works great even on a Mother's Day card. I really liked the hearts tucked into the flourishes.

I invite you now to come join the Cheery Lynn design challenge
@ http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge. The theme is "Mother's Day". It will give you a chance to win a $20.00 store certificate by entering the challenge.

Easter Cupcake Baskets by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 3 Comments

Hi Everyone, it's JULIE here today and I am sharing with you some Easter Inspiration using our fab new Cupcake die.

These cute little baskets which measure approx 3" diameter by 4" height are easy to make and once I worked out all the measurements it didn't take long to make the second one. So let me show you how to make them.

I started by cutting my Cupcake Wrapper from cardstock and added a double layer of grass to the base. To get the grass strip to curve around your cupcake die, layer on sections measuring about 2 inches in length, offsetting the grass on each layer.

For my base I used the 2 largest dies in the Circle Classic set. You will see in this photo I cut my die out and then drew around the outer part of my smaller die and fussy cut out some notches.

My Cupcake Wrapper I added a little bit of glue to the die cut join for added strength for the weight of my chocolate eggs and formed the shape of my cupcake. I then bent all my notches up on my circle and added a little glue to each one, pushing my circle down into my cupcake to form the base of my basket, pressing all the notches onto my cupcake wrapper.

This makes it all lovely and neat and the grass disguises the notches on the inside.

Next I added on my handle with some brads, you will notice I have the pretty side of my Brad to the inside of my basket as I hid the closure with a flower on the outside.

Now the fun bit of adding all my Easter Chicks, sweet Bunny and flowers.

I disguised my join on the cupcake wrapper be carefully placing a Chick or Bunny over the join.

I finished off my baskets with a pretty bow and some Chocolate Mini Eggs which had been gathered inside a Cello bag that we normally place our cards into. I tied with some Easter ribbon and a die cut Sweetheart Candy.

Sweetheart by Jenny Alia

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Hello!  It's Jenny here today.  Thank you to all who left comments on my blog during last week's blog hop.  I hope you had the chance to see all the beautiful projects my teammates created showcasing the new dies.

This card fits this week's challenge theme.  I just love this adorable little bear and he fit so nicely into the new film die.  It's so simple to change around the colors of the heart he holds and the little accents on his feet and ears.  I backed his ears and nose with pink paper and glued in the little red hearts on his feet and the red heart in his hands.

I used the Deutschland Boutique Stacker for the background layer.  I often use this stacker.  It's interesting and lacy without being too frilly when I want an elegant touch.  The heart and arrow die was cut three times (in white, red and pink).  The arrow was colored black with a copic marker and I snipped sides off the red and pink die cuts to paper piece the red swirls and pink ribbon banner.  Last I piled a few of the sweetheart candy dies on top of the heart in his arms.

You are Sweet with Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Hi everyone! It's Lisa here again today sharing a new card for Cheery Lynn Designs using more of the January 2016 New Release. On the "sweetheart candy" I used a white Signo pen to highlight the die fonts. I then printed "you are" on white cardstock and die cut it with "dutch daisy tag" The "sweet" is new too and there are two sizes. This one is the smaller of the two dies. Behind the tag is the "dutch daisy oval doily" that matches perfectly with the tag. In the center, I used the smallest of the "oval stitch tool"

Here are some cute tea lights using the mini cupcake holder. On the bottom I cut the smallest of the "circle pierce" twice for the base. It is a perfect fit for the tea lights and can be used for several occasions besides yummy cupcakes!
