Floral Birthday Card with Bonnie Garby

Hi there Cheery Lynn die lovers. Bonnie from Make Time to Craft here today to share a pretty floral birthday card using one of my favorite flower die sets from Cheery Lynn Designs.

I have lots of layer on this card, but I think it's pretty easy to see from the photo how the layers were assembled. I just love the Square Frames die for square cards.

My blue/tan background paper was made using Distress Inks spritzed with water. My flowers and foliage were created with the Floral Bouquet die set which is such a versatile flower set. I used some of the same paper from my background for the blue flower petals along with some dark blue and kraft color cardstock. The layers were also inked with an old script stamp for some additional interest. The flowers and foliage were cut and then shaped with a stylus and foam pad. The flowers were layered and finished off with some cool metal gear embellishments from Really Reasonable Ribbon. I added a pretty butterfly to the right side of the card to balance things out.

My card was finished off with a pretty bi-color double-loop bow made on my Bow-it-All Tool using Ivory and Capri Blue Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Valentine's Teddy Bear Card with Bonnie Garby

Hi friends. Bonnie here today from Make Time to Craft. Today I have a sweet card to share that will be perfect for the one you love. Cheery Lynn Designs has so many wonderful Valentine themed dies to choose from. Be sure to head over and take a look at all the options.

My card base is a brown 5-1/2" square. I cut the fancy Square Frame in cream cardstock and then adhered it to brown, pink, brown, mint and brown layers, leaving a thin border for each. I then backed that with natural mulberry paper and attached it to the card base.

Then I cut the smaller Square Frame and layered it up again much the same as the base. Then this was centered on point and adhered to the base layers.

I cut my Teddy Bear in brown and shaded with distress inks. I added pink to the ears and paws and black for the nose and eyes. I cut it again in pink so I could have the heart in pink and adhered this to the bear. I also shaped the bear a bit with a stylus and foam pad for a little dimension. I adhered the bear on foam tape for added dimension.

I cut the XOXOXO die in brown and adhered it to cream cardstock and then brown leaving a small border on each. I then adhered that below the bear. I also added a couple of the Sweetheart Candies shaded with distress ink on each side of the sentiment.

I finished my card off with a pretty bi-color bow using Pearl Pink and Sherbet Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon. It's the perfect addition to balance the card and add a little interest.

Happy Halloween by Jenny Alia

Hi, it's Jenny here today with another Halloween card. I just love playing with these new Cheery Lynn Halloween dies! This card was simple to put together but the glitter paper on some of the die cuts really adds a beautiful glitzy touch. I started with a 5.5" square card base. I layered black and patterned card stock on top. Then I cut the largest square out of Square Frames Set in black. The inside is lined with a smaller purple square to pick up some of the purple color from the patterned card stock. I cut the Skeleton's accessories out of other fun papers. I don't know if it's visable in the photos but his bow and the tombstone are super sparkly!

The one die I changed a bit is the Horizon Fishtail Banner die. I ran half of it through my die cut machine and then stopped before finishing. I then moved the die down, being careful to line up the little scallops and then ran the flag side of the banner through to create a smaller than normal banner shape that would fit my card better. The Happy Halloween sentiment is from the Witch's Skirt die set.

Sister Celebration by Julie Lavalette

Hi Cheery Lynn friends, it's JULIE here and today I am sharing a shabby chic style card using many of our beautiful floral and lace style dies.

My card measures 8x5 Inches and I started by adding a patterned layer of paper to my card which I added Frantage, distressed at the edges and added some ink. I also added a couple of corner accents and my double layered inked butterfly.

My next couple of layers were torn across the page and my small doily and leaves inserted behind. These layers were added with foam strips for extra dimension.

My main image was mounted onto my frame with foam strips. I added Frantage, my word Sister and a Flower into the girl's hair for extra detail.

My flourish was cut down and all the parts placed in at different angles. Adding my flowers and extra leaves finishing with accents of Pearls.

Vintage Children Card By Ginny

Hey there Paper Peeps! Ginny here to share a card I created with some fabby Cheery Lynn Designs Dies and some patterned papers I had stashed away and forgotten then discovered when I cleaned my shop.

I started this card with a base cut from olive colored cardstock that's 5 x 6 inches. Sweet checkered paper in spring green comes next. With the same olive cardstock I cut a few Tropical Flourishes and added one to the top of the card. I used the Rectangle Stitch and Cut for the velum layer. I love the subtle stitched pattern. The velum helps to tone down the busy pattern so I can layer on a Square Frame with vintage children image on top. I created a Build a Flower and inked and stamped the layers...but it was too big to use as it was : ( I rearranged the petals and now it does not cover too much of the image. I topped this off with 2 itty bitty Small Gardenia layers inked with the same yellow as the larger flower and finished off with pearly accents. Next I tucked 2 Lords and Commons Accent corners in along with a burlap bow and coordinating twine.

Kraft Doily Card by Ginny Nemchak

Hey there Peeps! Ginny here to share a card I created inspired by the Cheery Lynn Designs Large Sunflower Doily. I cut it out with Kraft paper and new instantly that it would look fabulous layered with creamy whites paper patterns. To anchor the warmer color of the doily I used a Kraft card base cut 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches. To add texture and depth I used the Tonic Distressing Tool to tatter the edges and spacers between the layers.

This arrangement of flowers has the Gardenia Strip and Small Gardenia Strip as well as the Miniature Rose, Dandelions, and Flourish #14. I've added a gorgeous ribbon bow, tag and vintage button to coordinate with the flowers.

I cut additional pieces from the Kraft paper to add bulk and fill in the flowers. Bending the leaves gives them dimension. I used only 2 layers of the Miniature Roses with a pearl in the center to fill in the edges of the display.

Horizon Fishtail Banners and Square Frame elements are stacked up and secured with spacers for a delicate look. I finished this card off with pearly accents, a simple loopy twine bow and coordinating wooden clothespin.

This card has a definitely country chic appeal.

Bee Happy Card with Amy Voorthuis

Good morning lovelies.

I am so happy you decided to visit our blog today.
Did you blog hop with us last Wednesday? If not you probably should because you will love it for sure. The "new" whimsical collection is sooo darn cute. I really adore all the different animals so much that my wish list is growing and growing lol.
This time I used the bee die that I ordered right away when they came out.....with the new "Be Happy"phrase that I changed a little ;-)
For this card I used the older "Happy Tails"collection by BoBunny which still is one of my favorite collections by them {weird right?} because I normally love soft toned papers.

Bee Happy:

The B787 - Whimsical Be Happy Die is so much fun because it can be used in many ways it has a sweet flower on the upper left corner that you can layer for more dimension like I did. I cut out the bee a couple of times and layered the colors so it makes the perfect bee!

For a Special Mother by Debbie Brownmiller

Nice to see you here today. It's Debbie from Debbie's Time Out. I hope you are having a wonderful day doing what you love to do. I know Mother's Day is over but wanted to do one more Mother's Day Card . You could give a Mom this card any day of the year to show her how special she is without waiting until Mother's Day.

I had this beautiful piece of dragonfly paper in my stash that was card size and thought what a beautiful card that would make if I didn't cover the dragonfly up. I did like the end results.

Here I inked and layered one of the frames from the Square Frames set. I layered the Fern Leaf and the small leaves which are from the Flourish #13 . The flowers I used are Chrysanthemum Strip , Shasta Daisy , Daisy Strip and Judy's Blooms . The centers of the flowers are from the Build a Flower # 1.

This sentiment is cut from one of the Say What? (Set of 16).

Here I have tucked in one of the vases from the Vase (Set of 4) set in behind the floral arrangement. I used a piece of paper that had a tiny flower design to cut the vase from and I think the vase turned out so pretty.

Smile Card by Amy Voorthuis

Good morning everyone.

Don't you just love the word dies by Cheery Lynn Designs? Well this one makes me smile from ear to ear. While I am writing this post it's poring with rain and snow {luckily the melting one}. Why is the warmer weather still not here I wonder. Today I want to show you a happy spring card with some new dies I got just last week.

For this card I used "Vintage Spring Basics" by who other than Maja Design.

Smile:

As you see, it's out of many layers again and lots of distressing {but I didn't us my sewing machine this time}. Purple is my most favorite color to scrap if it's cards, layouts or altered projects. I love to hear in a comment which color is your favorite to scrap and then I will have a surprise for one or maybe two of you ;-)

Underneath the CAFR-23 - Square Frames {set of 3} I used some cheesecloth to give it more of a shabby chic feeling. I think the B338 - Black Eyed Susan Strip is one of my favorite flowers to make because it's such a fun and easy one with a lot of volume.
