Hi everyone!
Laurie here from Stamping Up North. Today's card features Cheery Lynn's Rock and Roll Jukebox die.

Cheery Lynn Designs - Rock & Roll Jukebox Die Set - 10 Die Set - B947

I cut it out using glitter paper in lots of bright cheerful colors!

Then I cut out a sign from the Retro Sign set and adhered the sentiment "Rock & Roll."

I adhered it all onto a pierced circle.

Jukebox with Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Hi everyone! Sharing a new card for Cheery Lynn Designs using the fabulous "Let's Go Retro" Release. This card is featuring the adorable jukebox. I wanted to use some colors so I added the fun colorful patterned papers in the background.

The french doily is behind the jukebox with the notes on the bottom.  I chose white instead of the traditional black. That's one the best part of die cuts....you can chose whatever colors you want. The sentiment was stamped in brown ink and fussy cut out.

Have a great day!

Antique Phonograph

3:30 AM 1 Comments
Hi.  It's Debbie back with you from Debbie's Time Out. Today I am going to share another card I did using a couple more dies from the new vintage release. I am featuring the Phonograph  and the  Distressed Honeycomb  which  are both from the new vintage collection.

For the card base I matted this beautiful lined  paper with roses onto black cardstock. The paper even has a few music notes on it so it was perfect to use with this phonograph. I layered the Distressed Honeycomb  to  the background. I also cut an extra Distressed Honeycomb and used it as a stencil to ink that pattern to the background as well.

Just look at the detail on this Phonograph  I cut it out of a few different colors and then layered accordingly to get the look I wanted.

Here I layered the Notes #1 and the Thank You  to the top corner.

This is the Whistle a Happy Tune  in gold. I just glued it in a couple of places so it curved and gave it added dimension

I thank you for visiting the blog today and hope I have inspired you to try out some of the new vintage dies. I just love this whole collection. Please take the time to leave a comment and tell me what you think.  Comments are always appreciated. Have a wonderful crafty day my friends.

Songbirds by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 4 Comments
Hi Everyone, it's JULIE here today. In Scotland the Songbirds are all starting to sing. It's so lovely to hear them happy now that Spring has arrived.....unless it's 5 o'clock in the morning ! So my card today was taken from inspiration of the blossom filled trees and these beautiful birds.

I started by layering up a couple of my stacker dies to form the frame of my card. I love how the inverted scallops give the appearance of a postage stamp edge.
My branches were all cut out in textured Green Cardstock and I went over the branch area with a Brown Copic Pen. I then shaded a small piece of White Cardstock with a few shades of ink and then die cut out my flowers and added a little Stickles into the centres.
My sentiment was stamped onto patterned paper.
My sweet little birds were shaded with Distress inks to look like a Robin and a Blue Tit. I added a drop of Liquid Pearls for their eyes and highlighted the details of the die with a Fine Liner pen. If you google an image of the kind of bird you want to colour on your die, I find this makes it easy to shade them.

Our Current Challenge is Mothers Day and I do hope you get a chance to join in for a chance to win a $20 shopping spree. Thanks so much for stopping by and for the wonderful comments you leave. I love reading them and appreciate them so much.
