 Hello to all you Cheery Lynn fans. It's Debbie from Debbie's Time Out sharing a vintage card with you.
I am using a few of the newer dies from the vintage collection. In the center I have layered the Dusty Miller Square , Vintage Tile, and the Decorative Bird Cage in that order. I added one of the birds from the  Birds of Earth and Sky  set. To the corners I used the  Dusty Miller Frame Corner.  I stamped the Thank You  sentiment onto one the of the Weathered Scrolls.
A couple of fussy cut butterflies finished off this card.

Thanks for visiting the blog today. I hope you have a wonderful craft day.

And We Are Off...

12:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi everyone!

 Laurie here from Stamping Up North sharing a Birthday card I made with some of the dies from the Veriloquent Vintage release. What a great set of dies to add to your collection. I find myself reaching for them again and again...so versatile and fun!

I cut the Hot Air Balloon out in some gingham and checked purple papers, adding just a piece of the Wrought Iron Fence at the base. Then I added a sentiment on a banner from the Weathered Scrolls 3 piece set.

For my background I started with the Distressed Honeycomb....there are so many possibilities for using this die! I added some clouds and a sun I made with the Flourish Frame set. I adhered it all on a stitched rectangle, and added a few pearls for embellishment.

Here's a list of the dies I used:

You Have Me In Stitches by Debbie Brownmiller

3:30 AM 0 Comments
A warm Hello to you today. It's Debbie from Debbie's Time Out hosting the blog today. I am  featuring some of the new vintage release dies on this card. If you have not seen this new vintage release you must check it out. It is an amazing release.
I started with a beautiful pattern paper for my base and matted it in black as I wanted to give a chalk board look to my card. By cutting all the dies in black and using the oxide inks for the sentiments I think I accomplished the chalkboard look very well. A few buttons were added for embellishments to go with the theme.
Well I just love this new dress form set, Antique Dress Forms .  You get three different dress forms in the set and this was my favorite of the three so chose this one for my project today. You can see the beautiful detail in it and all I did was add a flower and some silver outline stickers.
This is the Flourish Frame . I cut it in black and then used oxide inks to stamp the sentiment and flowers and to also ink the flourish areas around the edge.
This is one of a set of three of the new  Weathered Scrolls  that I stamped the sentiment onto.

I hope I have inspired you to play with some vintage dies. Thanks so much for visiting the blog and for the comments you leave. They are always appreciated.

Tiny Summer Spirit Card by Amy Voorthuis

3:30 AM 0 Comments
Good morning Cheery Lynn Fans.
Today I am sharing a tiny card with you and this one was so much fun to make. For this card I used the pretty new "Cottage Life"collection by 49 and Market and some of my new favorite Cheery Lynn Designs dies....let's have a look:

Summer Spirit:
I really love that honeycomb die and hopefully there will be more of those in the future not the same but with other shapes so we can use them as backgrounds for our cards or layouts. I just left some of the cut outs in it but I lifted it with some foam tape. Sorry for not having really sharp detailed pictures but my camera was really acting up sadly.

Cheery Lynn Designs dies used:
D138 - Mini Butterflies with Angelwings
B129 - Cherry Blossom
B887 - Distressed Honeycomb

Life Moments by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi everyone, it's JULIE here hosting the blog today and I am sharing some more inspiration with the fabulous new release of Vintage Dies, gosh I'm loving this new collection so much. My card today would also look great as a scrapbook layout and could easily be made more feminine in design by changing the colours and adding a few flowers.

I started by adding some film strips to my cardstock, distressing the card at the edges and adding some Distress ink. I positioned my film strip die on my photos and cut them, this way they were the perfect size to insert into the film strip.

I matted and layered my centre dies, cutting one out in the dark red to make my Design 'pop', adding a stamped sentiment and foam strips between my layers for added dimension.

My Vintage Camera was highlighted with a silver pen on the embossed areas, I also added a touch of Gilding wax onto the concertina area to look like old leather. I layered up the front and back areas 3 times to give added dimension, paper piecing these bits together in a similar way I built my Gramophone which you can see HERE.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you feel inspired by my card.
Crafty Hugs,

Sweet Baby Boy 8x8 Layout by Amy Voorthuis

3:30 AM 0 Comments
Good morning Cheery Lynn Fans.
I hope you are all enjoying your summer vacation. Mine just started and I can't wait spend some precious time with my little family. By the end of the week we are leaving for a camping ground in our own country.  Oh I just can't wait.... no scrapping for me for a week though, so that is going to be a big trial for me since I scrap almost every day. For today I am sharing another 8x8 layout made with some pretty Maja Design papers using some of the new Cheery Lynn Dies on which I am totally hooked.  Wow, these dies are amazing L.O.V.E. them to bits.

Sweet Baby Boy:
 This layout was really easy to make.  I had the design in my head and then I punched out all the dies I wanted to use and distressed/colored them where needed. Then I picked out the picture I was going to use and voila...I always tend to make a picture of my work when building up my page and that is what I did here too.

  I watered the paper and ruffled it before I treated the background with clear gesso, stamps, paste and sprays.  At the end I added all the dies to complete my layout. Those B890 - Weathered Scrolls are so amazing and versatile.  You can use them for any occasion you get three.  This one was fitted best for a baby layout {at least that is what hubby told me}.

Yes, sometimes I do ask my husband what would fit best on my layout. Most of the time I show him two options and most of the time I pick a different one then he does lol...but he sure is a great help. The centers of the blue flowers are handmade and so easy.  I made them using foam balls, hot glue and mini prills. I also added a cute flair which says: "Smile to the World" I am so hooked on those at the moment I can't stop myself from using them.....lol

Cheery Lynn Designs dies used:
B898 - Baby Pram {NEW}
B890 - Weathered Scrolls {NEW}
B887 - Distressed Honeycomb {NEW}
B883 - Dusty Miller Frame Corner {NEW}

Sending Love to You Card with Bonnie Garby

3:30 AM 0 Comments
Hi friends.  Bonnie here with you today from Make Time to Craft.  I hope you were able to Hop Along in our July Vintage New Release Blog Hop yesterday.  If not, it's not too late to hop and comment for a change to win a $20 gift certificate to Cheery Lynn Designs.
My card today features the Vintage Hot Air Balloon Die set from the new Vintage release.  This is such a fun die with amazing detail.  Just look at that basket.

This is a two piece set and there is a die included which will but out the balloon portion for you so you can make it any color you want.  No fussy cutting needed!
My sentiment was stamped on one of the Weathered Scrolls dies.  In order to get the dark back layer, I traced around the die and cut in dark purple.
I also pulled out my Whimsical Sun & Clouds die set and cut a variety of clouds to use in my sky.

Cheery Lynn Dies used:

My card was topped off with a bi-color bow made on my Bow-it-All V3.0 tool using two of the ribbon styles in the July Ribbon Club Assortment from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I then added a pretty pearl star shaped embellishment to the center of the bow.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  If you missed the Blog Hop yesterday, be sure to head on over and see all the amazing projects showcased by the design team using dies from the new Vintage Release from Cheery Lynn Designs.  Happy crafting!
