Snappy Birthday! with Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Hello! Welcome back to another fun card using lots of Cheery Lynn Designs die cuts! I felt like making a birthday card since today is my birthday. I also thought about making this card for a friend that I know that happens to have his birthday today too. Only problem is he is 20 years younger....

I used an oval for my water, cat tails, reeds, wood, and clouds. Plus the fabulous crocodiles with tiny pearls on their back, nose and eye. Little white dots were dabbed on the cat tail. There is a bit of gloss on the raindrops. I wasn't thinking sad birthday but I wanted to add some extra blue on the card. There is grass on the inside.

The sentiment was printed on my computer.

Hi everyone! Welcome back to a new card for Cheery Lynn Designs. It is that time of the year where I visit the beach. I love the ocean and the sentiment actually started my beach card.

No patterned papers here today just clean and simple cardstock with fun die cuts and a couple stamps.

My Rainbow by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi Cheery Lynn fans it’s JULIE here and this week I challenged myself to make a clean and simple styled card. This is something I find very hard to do as I always want to add more details within my design. So I guess this is probably as minimalistic as I can manage and I hope you like it and feel inspired to also step out of your comfort zone too.

I started by die cutting my smallest square in my stitched stackers in colours of the rainbow to compliment my stamped sentiment, adding my small Doily which was cut in half and placed in the centre.

My next layers were all added with foam strips for added dimension along with a few flowers to sit on my cloud. Adding a final touch of some squiggly lines around the edge of my card.

Happy Shower with Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi, Welcome back for another new card for Cheery Lynn Designs. I originally was thinking about April showers and then I started to think about all the baby showers that are this month. So I combined the two into one card. I wanted to make it baby blues but with some girly accents.

I colored the rain drops and then added a glitter pen for extra shine. I also did that on the flourishes too. In the centers of the flowers is teal gala glitz. Be sure to get this adorable umbrella for your collection because it is on clearance.

Easter Egg Hunt by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi Cheery Lynn fans, it’s JULIE here today and I am sharing some more Easter inspiration with the super selection of Dies we have available.

I started by cutting out my chicks in lemon and white cardstock. I shaded the eggs with Tattered Rose Distress Ink and mounted them onto the yellow die cut chicks adding a drop of Black Liquid Pearls into their eyes.

My rabbit was shaded with Iced Spruce Distress ink and a fluffy Pom Pom tail added.

My eggs were cut out of Craft Consortium’s Wild Rose Paper Pad and mounted onto background paper and fussy cut around the edges, finishing with lots of pink gems being added onto them for sparkle.

Sending Love to You Card with Bonnie Garby

3:30 AM 0 Comments
Hi friends.  Bonnie here with you today from Make Time to Craft.  I hope you were able to Hop Along in our July Vintage New Release Blog Hop yesterday.  If not, it's not too late to hop and comment for a change to win a $20 gift certificate to Cheery Lynn Designs.
My card today features the Vintage Hot Air Balloon Die set from the new Vintage release.  This is such a fun die with amazing detail.  Just look at that basket.

This is a two piece set and there is a die included which will but out the balloon portion for you so you can make it any color you want.  No fussy cutting needed!
My sentiment was stamped on one of the Weathered Scrolls dies.  In order to get the dark back layer, I traced around the die and cut in dark purple.
I also pulled out my Whimsical Sun & Clouds die set and cut a variety of clouds to use in my sky.

My card was topped off with a bi-color bow made on my Bow-it-All V3.0 tool using two of the ribbon styles in the July Ribbon Club Assortment from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I then added a pretty pearl star shaped embellishment to the center of the bow.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  If you missed the Blog Hop yesterday, be sure to head on over and see all the amazing projects showcased by the design team using dies from the new Vintage Release from Cheery Lynn Designs.  Happy crafting!

Sending you Sunshine

4:30 AM 1 Comments
Hi there folks!  Cherry here today to share a sweet happy card.
I just cannot get enough yellow this year!
I used the Coved Rectangle Classic Stackers to create the shape of my card.
From there I added ribbons and my sentiment and my sweet flower die. This die is just so cute.  It adds the cutest homespun look.  From there I added my Sun and Cloud die.  Adding a bit of foam adhesive really brings the die cuts to life! Well that's it for me, thanks for visiting the Cheery Lynn blog.  Cherry

Beach Bum by Laurie Schmidt

12:30 AM 1 Comments

Hi everyone!

Laurie here from Stamping Up North, back with another summer themed card to share.

It's been raining and dreary the last few days up north, so I decided to make a cheerful, sunny card.

My thoughts drifted to the beach, and I made a little beach scene with the Surfs Up set. I added some sand by using just a small piece of a pierced circle tucked behind the wave. The tiny flower with the cute smile is from the Oval Companion set. I added the Whimsical Sun and Clouds, and backed everything on a pierced circle and scalloped rectangle.

Here's a list of the dies I used:

Life is Better....With Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi! Welcome back to another fun card with Cheery Lynn Designs! Im so ready for the beach...I can't get it off my mind...lol I decided to use the fun "flip flops and board shorts" as the main focus. The Z fold card was made using a 5 inch by 12 inch piece of paper in blue. Then I cut it at the angle at 2.5 inches.

The sand is kraft paper and I fussy cut the hills. I added the wave edger to the bottom. On top I die cut out several clouds so it would match on the back too. The sentiment was printed from the computer.

I left room for signing the card or adding a picture.

The card is pretty flat. I love the details of the flip flops and how they pop as if you could place your foot inside. I sure do LOVE my flip flops too!

Have a great weekend!

"Fun & Sun" with Laurie Schmidt

12:30 AM 1 Comments

Hi everyone! Laurie here from Stamping Up North.

Today I'm sharing a card using some of Cheery Lynn's "fun & sun" summertime dies. I started with a pierced circle and added a sun from the Whimsical Sun and Cloud set.

The Surf's Up set has 10 fun pieces including this surf board. I inlaid the letters in a bright and cheerful yellow. The leaves from the Mehndi Botanicals 2, and the flower from the Doily Companion Oval set, reminded me of the tropics. I added an enamel dot in the flower's center, and stamped the sentiment in black.

I hope you have a fun and sunny day!

You Make Me Smile With Lisa Blastick

1:30 AM 3 Comments

Hi everyone! Welcome back to a fun new card for Cheery Lynn Designs
I have been busy with life and family lately so I believe I had lost my Mojo for a bit....But today I think it came back...at least for a little while!
I wanted to make a straight Z Fold Card for some time now...who would have known it would be super fast and easy.... this is a 4.5 inch x 11 inches. You just fold it in half and then half again.
The bottom is the 2 inches x 11 inches, fold it the same and you place it the opposite way to create the little box. I added a little center for extra flowers...

I used 5 different die cuts..."victorian fence" "whimsical tree of life" "whimsical sun and cloud" "garden gate" and "floral bouquet kit" The colors were scream "springtime" to me!

I cut out 2 trees, one sun, one each of the clouds and one extra cloud, 2 sets of the small and larger flowers in pink, purple and yellow, 5 sets of small and large leaves, one garden gate and one big strip of the victorian fence with a little bit extra to finish to the end.

Here you can see it is flat for easy mailing...the sentiment I stamped over the top of the cloud and tree. In the centers are silver gala glitz and the sun eyes are silver brads to match the gala glitz.

Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a wonderful week!
