Merry Christmas with Laurie Schmidt

12:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi everyone!
Laurie here from Stamping Up North with a penguin Christmas card I made using the Penguin Pal set. I can't seem to get enough of that set...the trio is SO cute.

Cheery Lynn Designs - Penguin Pals - 3 Piece - B909

I can never decide which one I like the best!

Actually, I can't seem to get enough of the whole fall and winter Cheery Lynn release! I can't even tell you how many times I have used those dies. They really are amazing. You can check them all out here.

For this card I used the penguin pal at the end of the trio, and adhered him onto a couple of trees from the Classic Christmas tree set. Then I adhered that onto a stitched rectangle and a Classic Snowflake Border. The sentiment is cut out 3 times and adhered together to add dimension. It's from the Merry Christmoose set. I love the font!

Here's a list of the dies I used:

"Peeking Penguin Pal" with Laurie Schmidt

3:00 AM 0 Comments

Look who's peeking in your window......

It's one of the Penguin Pals!

He's looking pretty cute wearing his Santa hat while looking through the beautiful arched window. I think he wants to come inside and warm up...LOL!

The window A die makes a cut into the paper, so you can see right through to the inside. (Just think of all the possibilities with this die.) That's where I adhered the Penguin Pal and a couple of trees

I decided to decorate the window with a bow and tiny holly from the Christmas Wreath set. Then I added an enamel dot and stamped the sentiment on the bottom.

Holiday Window Card Set with Laurie Schmidt

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi everyone, Laurie here from Stamping Up North!
I've really been into making cards with Cheery Lynn's door, fireplace and window lately. Such awesome dies and PERFECT for making cute holiday cards.

The ones I'm sharing today are the window cards, the first one is for Halloween. I cut out the window in black and added a spooky spider web behind it. On the window sill I set a ghost, pumpkin, and cat. The bats flying around are from the Happy Halloween dies. I cut out 2 green moons for the shutters with the Cat and Moon set too.

Jack O Lantern B594

The second card is a Thanksgiving window card.

I used the Mandy Doily to make a bit of a curtain, and added an enamel dot at the top. I thought Cinderella's Pumpkins looked cute sitting on the ledge, along with a few leaves from the new Acorns and Leaves die set.

I used a couple of dies from the new fall and winter release to make a Christmas window card...the Penguin Pals and the Classic Christmas Tree.
I can't even tell you how many cards I have made with that penguin set...they are adorable. The window is actually a shaker set, but here I backed it with a curtain I made from the center of the Mexican Tile pattern die. I added a Christmas Light Swag and stamped a sentiment in black.

As you can see, I have had lots of fun with the window die. I'll be sharing my fireplace and door cards soon.....

Thanks for stopping by!

Penguin Pal Trio with Laurie Schmidt

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi everyone!

Laurie here from Stamping Up North with a cheerful Christmas card to share today. I'm still busy making cards with dies from the new release...they are all so cute I just can't stop!

This card features the Penguin Pals, which is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. They are so adorable, and I love cutting them out and dressing them in different colored hats and scarves. Here I made a matching penguin trio all dressed in blue plaid. The only extra thing I added was the bow from the Christmas Wreath set.

The white trees are also new, from the Classic Christmas Tree set. I adhered 2 behind the penguins. Cheery Lynn came out with 4 new Christmas tree sets....each so fun and different. You can check them out here.

The scene is set on a white hill which I made by cutting a pierced circle  in half. I also added some glitter enamel dots and a sentiment.

Here's a list of the dies I used for this card:

Thanks for stopping by....have a great day!

Festive Christmas Card with Cheryl Walker

For the Cheery Lynn Fall/Winter NEW Release Blog Hop, please click HERE.

Hello everyone, today I have a fun Christmas card I designed using the New Fall/Winter Release from Cheery Lynn Designs. I LOVE all the new dies in this release as they are all so beautiful/DARLING! To see them all, please visit Cheery Lynn Designs here.

Cheery Lynn Dies-
Penguin Pals B909
Cut and Emboss Snowflake E202
Sparkle Christmas Tree B913
Royal Scandinavian Doily

I started out by doing two layers of design paper and white card stock, then added the doily that was cut out in white on top. Next I layered all the Cheery Lynn dies starting with the beautiful trees that I cut out using the coordinating design paper then distressing with two green inks. I also added glitter to both trees using Stickles. My snowflake was cut using the same design paper, and just popped up using foam tabs. The sweet little penguin was cut out in white card stock tow times and pieced together after coloring. I also added Stickles to him on his hat.

Lastly I added a big white satin bow to complete my card for today.
Thank you so much for stopping by and hope you have a super awesome day!

Hugs
Cheryl
