Happy Halloween with Cheryl Walker

1:30 AM 0 Comments

Hello everyone and Happy Monday to you all! Today I have a super cute Halloween card I made using several dies from Cheery Lynn Designs.  I love how they look, and how they turned out.  All were colored using Copic markers, except the ghost and fence.

I used this darling design paper Tricks and Treats from Pebbles. Next I layered with a purple and black card stock, then did sewing with an orange color thread. The Happy Halloween was cut using the Cheery lynn die B905 Happy Haunts and then colored using an orange ink.  I did add some black dots to all the letters, I thought it gave them some contrast. Next I colored the pumpkins using all Copic markers, 2 oranges, 3 greens, and a tan color. Next the twisted tree was cut in white, and then colored with Copic brown. The Wrought Iron fence was cut using black card stock. I glued everything using my favorite glue, Best Glue Ever, and it is! You just have to try to keep it off your hands....hehehehe.  I used foam squares for the ghost.

Super fun and fast card to make, as I haven't been feeling so well, so this need to be quick.

Thank you for stopping by and have a lovely day, and a Happy Halloween!

Hugs to all,

Bats and Ghouls by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi fellow crafters, it's JULIE here today and I'm sharing some Halloween inspiration with my spooky card. I always have great fun at this time of the year creating cards with scenes on them.

For this card I decided to make my own inky background using Distress Inks and mounted it onto white cardstock.

My spiders web was drop shadowed adding another inky layer on top with my sentiment which compliments the Twisted Tree Die so well. Finishing this area with a couple of scary ghouls.

My skeleton I cut his legs off and then placed all the parts behind the gravestone in a fun abstract way.

My Twisted Tree I decided to lay on its side to look like a spooky branch also adding a drop shadow to it. I then added my crow and attached my bats on to the branch by drawing a line with a fineliner pen.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you feel inspired to create a fun Halloween card.

Spooky Halloween with Laurie Schmidt

3:30 AM 2 Comments

Hi everyone!

Laurie here from Stamping Up North with a spooky Halloween card to share with you today. Halloween is just around the corner and I finally bought my pumpkins and mums to decorate my front steps. On my door I also hung a Jack O' Lantern which my little neighbor girl loves...she looks at it and says,"spooky face, spooky face!" I think she would like this card, as this Jack O' Lantern has a spooky face too!

I started out with some fun Halloween paper for my background, and pulled from the colors to cut out my images. I cut the sentiment out from Happy Halloween and layered it in black and purple. Then I adhered it onto a green pierced circle.

I just LOVE the Jack O'Lantern set, it comes with 3 different sized pumpkins, here I used the largest one. I added two of the tiny white ghosts form the Happy Haunts set...I think they look pretty spooky too!

Here's a list of dies I used:

Happy Halloween B829

Happy Haunts B905

Jack O' Lanterns B594

Circle Pierce and Cut Tool LPC4

I hope you have a spooky Halloween!

Happy Halloween

3:30 AM 0 Comments
A warm Hello to you. Glad to see you here. It's Debbie from Debbie's Time Out hosting the blog today. We are into October so thought I would play with some of Cheery Lynn Designs Halloween dies. This would make a nice cover page for a 8x8 mini album.

I started by using some black Halloween  paper with spider webs om it and matting it with green paper.

I used the new Happy Haunts  die set  for the sentiment and the Spiderweb Die   for the top corner. The witches hat and boots are from the  Witch's Laundry  set.

The Twisted Tree  is one of the new dies just released. I hung some of the Witch's Laundry   in twisted tree as well as a ghost.  I have always like the Home Sweet Home Die  and so I layered it on the bottom corner.

I hope you have some time to play with the Halloween dies. Halloween layouts and cards are always fun to make and they do make people smile.

Thanks for visiting the blog today and for the comments you leave. Have a wonderful crafty day.

The Spell Room by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hello Cheery Lynn fans, its JULIE here today and I'm sharing some more spooky fun in my Spell Room card.

I started by layering onto my paper my black Die Cut frame, this helps to draw the eye into the centre of the card. I die cut out my Old Books adding names onto them, layering onto my card and sitting my cheeky cat on top along with a scary ghoul.

My witches potions I also added names onto the bottles along with a cheeky spider. My witches hat I backed with some purple glitter card and adding colour to the buckle from a gold alcohol pen.

Thanks for stopping by.

Halloween Door With Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hello crafters! Welcome back to another fun card using some new and old Cheery Lynn Designs Dies. The adorable "felines" are purrrrfect for Halloween! I wanted to use the screen door and then make an awning over the top. The awning was made by cutting 1/2 strips and curving the edges.

The cute ghost from "happy haunts" is a green goblin...lol  The sentiment from "Happy Halloween twiggy wreath" its the perfect size for the screen door.

The spider web (nest) also has an adorable spider too. I added some glittery ribbon and two sequins for the doorknob. The background on the bottom I embossed it with "old brick"

The bats are from "bat family". I used the 2nd and 3rd smallest bat and just dotted the eyes with a signo white pen. Then I bent them a bit and added glue to the center of the bats so they appeared to be flying off the awning.

Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a great day!

Holiday Window Card Set with Laurie Schmidt

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi everyone, Laurie here from Stamping Up North!
I've really been into making cards with Cheery Lynn's door, fireplace and window lately. Such awesome dies and PERFECT for making cute holiday cards.

The ones I'm sharing today are the window cards, the first one is for Halloween. I cut out the window in black and added a spooky spider web behind it. On the window sill I set a ghost, pumpkin, and cat. The bats flying around are from the Happy Halloween dies. I cut out 2 green moons for the shutters with the Cat and Moon set too.

Jack O Lantern B594

The second card is a Thanksgiving window card.

I used the Mandy Doily to make a bit of a curtain, and added an enamel dot at the top. I thought Cinderella's Pumpkins looked cute sitting on the ledge, along with a few leaves from the new Acorns and Leaves die set.

I used a couple of dies from the new fall and winter release to make a Christmas window card...the Penguin Pals and the Classic Christmas Tree.
I can't even tell you how many cards I have made with that penguin set...they are adorable. The window is actually a shaker set, but here I backed it with a curtain I made from the center of the Mexican Tile pattern die. I added a Christmas Light Swag and stamped a sentiment in black.

As you can see, I have had lots of fun with the window die. I'll be sharing my fireplace and door cards soon.....

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Halloween Jacks by Jenny Alia

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Hi friends!  It's Jenny here.  I'm back today with a new Halloween card.  I've ignored the start of the school year (probably because I also have to return to work) and jumped straight to Halloween with my card making.  I love everything about Halloween time and I really enjoy spooky decorations.

This year I'm thinking about making candle jars using tissue paper and jars and Cheery Lynn Halloween die cuts.  Hopefully I'll have some to share with you soon if I can get what's in my head into an actual project.  In the meantime I've been card making.  I thought these Jack-o-Lanterns would be extra spooky done in black and I like the result.  It's difficult to see but the yellow-orange faces are actually quite sparkly.  I just glued paper sprayed with a glittery spray behind the Jacks.

Happy Halloween Card with Bonnie Garby

3:30 AM 1 Comments
Hi Cheery Lynn lovers!  Bonnie here today from Make Time to Craft sharing a silly/spooky Halloween card I made using some of the newest Halloween dies from Cheery Lynn Designs.
I've been making lots of fun background papers using Distress and Distress Oxide inks lately, and the dies sets I've used today are perfect to pair with a somewhat 'busy' background as they still stand out.
There is nothing too complicated with this card.  I just layered the Distress Ink paper on black and green cardstock and adhered it to my card base.  I then cut the dies in single layers in the colors show.  For the eyes I cut a small scrap of cardstock in the color I selected and glued it to the back of the die cuts for the eyes and mouth.  The grass strip was adhered along the bottom only so I could tuck parts of the cats behind the grass for a more realistic look.

Cheery Lynn Dies used:

Below is a peek inside my card.  I used the Twisted Tree die to decorate the inside while leaving space for a message of your choice.
I finished my card off with a shabby bow created on my Bow-it-All V3.0 using one of the ribbon styles from the September Halloween Themed Ribbon Club Assortment from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Are you busy working on your Autumn or Halloween themed cards yet?

Happy Halloween by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi fellow crafters, it's JULIE here today and I am sharing some inspiration with our latest winter release.

I love this Aspen Forest Die as I see so many uses for it including Christmas and Halloween.

My Aspen Forest was cut out white cardstock and inked with Distress Inks, I mounted onto corrugated card which I had also added Ink onto the raised areas. This gives my forest depth.

My trick and treat children were Shadow layered to make them pop.

I mounted my moon onto the twiggy wreath adding my ghouls and drop shadowed sentiment.

Hope you have a lovely week and find some time to craft.

Crafty Hugs,
Julie x
