Furever Friends with Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hello again!  Today I'm sharing a cat card that was inspired by vintage Old New York. I used lots of fun Cheery Lynn Designs die cuts, plus a few stamps that I fussy cut out. I have been wanting to use the "vintage books" for a while now. I thought the "Paris Sign" would be great for the sentiment as well.

I used some Prima patterned paper and some cream and kraft cardstock. I then distressed the edges of the papers to give it an old worn out look. The "windows" were die cut out in black and then I placed cream paper behind them. The books were die cut in cream and then I distressed them with vintage ink.

I kept the same colors for the mouse, yarn and fishbowl. The cats were die cut out twice and I just used part of the cats for the top window.

Thanks for stopping but today!
Have a great day!
Hugs Lisa

Holiday Window Card Set with Laurie Schmidt

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi everyone, Laurie here from Stamping Up North!
I've really been into making cards with Cheery Lynn's door, fireplace and window lately. Such awesome dies and PERFECT for making cute holiday cards.

The ones I'm sharing today are the window cards, the first one is for Halloween. I cut out the window in black and added a spooky spider web behind it. On the window sill I set a ghost, pumpkin, and cat. The bats flying around are from the Happy Halloween dies. I cut out 2 green moons for the shutters with the Cat and Moon set too.

Jack O Lantern B594

The second card is a Thanksgiving window card.

I used the Mandy Doily to make a bit of a curtain, and added an enamel dot at the top. I thought Cinderella's Pumpkins looked cute sitting on the ledge, along with a few leaves from the new Acorns and Leaves die set.

I used a couple of dies from the new fall and winter release to make a Christmas window card...the Penguin Pals and the Classic Christmas Tree.
I can't even tell you how many cards I have made with that penguin set...they are adorable. The window is actually a shaker set, but here I backed it with a curtain I made from the center of the Mexican Tile pattern die. I added a Christmas Light Swag and stamped a sentiment in black.

As you can see, I have had lots of fun with the window die. I'll be sharing my fireplace and door cards soon.....

Thanks for stopping by!

My Happy Place with Laurie Schmidt

12:30 AM 2 Comments

Hi everyone!

Laurie here from Stamping Up North sharing a card I made with Cheery Lynn's Shuttered Window Shaker die.

One of my "Happy Places" is my house. I love to to look out my window! Each season is so special. Right now I'm enjoying my pots full of pretty flowers.

For this card I used a piece of the Mandy Doily to make a curtain for my window, and also added some under the window ledge. Sitting on the ledge is a pot of tiny flowers with a watering can from the Doily Companion Square set. The tiny heart at the top of the window is also from that set. The greens are from the Floral Bouquet kit, and I added a tiny pearl in the middle of the heart. I backed all of it on the Lattice #2 die. Finally, I stamped my sentiment at the bottom,"My happy place!"

Here's a list of the dies I used:

Cherry Lynn Shuttered Window Shaker  K110
Cheery Lynn Mandy Doily DL276
Cheery Lynn Doily Companion Square DL310
Cheery Lynn Floral Bouquet Kit B777
Cheery Lynn Lattice #2 CAFR22

Window Shaker Card with Cheryl Walker

12:30 AM 2 Comments
Hello everyone, today I have a card I created for Cheery Lynn Designs Dies  using the beautiful new  Shutter Window shaker die kit  from Cheery Lynn, along with the Tea Rose small die. Love these shaker dies from Cheery Lynn as they are super fun and easy to create. Also love how the kit has absolutely everything you need in it to create these fun shakers.

The flowers I chose to use are Cheery Lynn Tea Rose small die.  I cut them out using white card stock, then dusted them with 2 different pinks. Next I added some mini beads for the centers. The leaves were dusted using a green ink from club scrap.

The window was created using some old old Crafty Secrets design paper. Love the pattern for the window. The little flowers for the shaker part were airbrushed using a pink Copic marker.

The sentiment is from The Project Bin Stamps called Spencer's Set. I stamped it in black, and then dusted the edges in the same pink as the flowers.

Ribbon is satin from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I hope you enjoyed my post for today, and thank you for stopping by!

Hugs to all,
Cheryl

From My Garden to Your Heart

4:30 AM 2 Comments
Happy Monday peeps!  Today is my day here on the Cheery Lynn blog
I have been dreaming of planting some flowers, but the weather will not cooperate.  I created a cute garden card since I am lacking in the real flowers department.
I used the new Shutter Window shaker die set along with Double sided thick foam adhesive to add dimension.  I added some stamping and a cute little chipboard heart.  I die cut Cherry Blossom branch die several times to add trailing flowers.

I added ribbons and the cute Watering can die and was done. Thanks for visiting!  Cherry
