Happy Birthday to You with Bonnie Garby

3:30 AM 1 Comments
Hi there Cheery Lynn fans.  Bonnie from Make Time to Craft here with you today sharing a pretty pink and purple floral birthday card featuring some gorgeous dies from Cheery Lynn Designs.
It's no secret that I love to create three dimensional flowers, but today I'm using a die that I don't often use.  The flowers today were created with the Judy's Bloom die.  It makes really lovely flowers.  For the larger flower in the center, I layered petals using both sizes in the die set and the smaller flowers just use the smaller flower die.  I made the flowers with some pretty Distress Ink paper I made and the foliage is a mix of the dies from the Flourish 6 and Flourish 13 die sets.
For my background I layered the Quatrefoil A2 Frame 1 cut in white over another piece of Distress Ink paper, layered it on purple and pink cardstock and backed it with white mulberry paper.  I ran a layered piece of ribbon across the middle of my card behind the sentiment panel.

My card was topped off with a pretty bi-color bow I created on my Bow-it-All V3.0 Tool using ribbon from the June Ribbon Club Assortment from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I added a pretty pearl heart shaped embellishment to the center of the bow.
Thanks so much for stopping by today and happy crafting!

Summer Floral Birthday Card with Bonnie Garby

3:30 AM 0 Comments
Hi Cheery Lynn fans.  Bonnie from Make Time to Craft here with you today sharing a bright and pretty floral birthday card I created with the lovely Cherry Blossom die from Cheery Lynn Designs.
I'm so ready from summer right now and there's nothing like a red, white and blue color palette to scream summer.  This color scheme works really well with the Cherry Blossom die, so I went with it.

Cheery Lynn Dies uses:

I cut the Cherry Blossom die in green, red and pink Distress ink paper.  I used the green as my base and then fussy cut the flowers in red and then the flower centers in pink and layered them to create the flower for the center medallion.  The background was created with the pretty Quatrefoil A2 frame 1 die which I also adore.
My card is finished off with a pretty bi-color bow created on my Bow-it-All V3.0 using ribbon from the Patriotic themed May Ribbon Club Assortment from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  The center of the bow is adorned with a star shaped pearl embellishment.
Thanks so much for stopping by today and happy crafting!

Congratulations on Your New Baby Card

3:30 AM 1 Comments
Hi there.  It's Bonnie here with you today from Make Time to Craft.  I was in the mood for some pinks and purples, so I whipped up a pretty card to welcome a new baby using some pretty dies from Cheery Lynn Designs.
I love to use a pretty frame die for my background and today I selected the 'Quatrefoil A2 Frame 1' die.  I layered that over a gorgeous piece of Distress Ink paper that I made using pinks and purples.
My pretty flower and foliage cluster was created with my all-time favorite 'Floral Bouquet Kit'.  For the centers I used a plush covered button on the large flower and some gingham covered buttons on the smaller flowers.  These flowers are so easy to create.  Just cut them, do a little shaping of the leaves with a stylus and foam pad and then just stack them and add a center embellishment.

I topped my card off with a pretty bi-color bow made on my Bow-it-All V3.0 using 5/8" Sherbet and Royal Blue Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I added a pretty heart shaped pearl embellishment to the center of the bow.  I also added a small butterfly to the right of the sentiment to balance things out a bit.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.
What crafty things have you been working on this weekend?

Dream with Your Eyes Wide Open

3:30 AM 4 Comments
Hi Cheery Lynn fans.  Bonnie here today from Make Time to Craft with a pretty all-occasion card featuring one of my favorite floral die sets from Cheery Lynn Designs.
I started with an A2 card base (4-1/4" x 5-1/2").  I cut my Quatrefoil A2 Frame 1 die in navy blue and then adhered it to a piece of Distress Ink paper I created.  I then trimmed that down to 3-3/8" x 4-5/8".  Then I layered that panel on both a navy and brown layer leaving a small border on each.  I then added a piece of turftan brown delicate stitched satin ribbon across the middle of the card securing at the back.  Finally there is a layer of natural mulberry paper on the bottom.  This panel was then adhered to the navy card base.

My stamp from Quietfire Design was stamped on cream cardstock and cut with an oval die.  I then layered that on navy and brown cardstock ending with a natural mulberry paper layer.  Then I attached this sentiment panel to the upper center of the card over the ribbon.
The Floral Bouquet Kit is such a versatile die set with a couple of flower sizes and a wide variety of foliage dies.

I cut out a variety of sizes of the flower using a Distress Paper I made along with kraft and navy cardstock.  I stamped on the layers with an old script stamp and spritzed with water to soften the look.  I then shaped the flower petals and assembled the flowers.  The foliage was cut from a green Distress Ink paper I made and shaped a bit and then adhered to the card.  The flowers were adhered on top of the foliage.  The centers of the flowers are metal gear embellishments from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

My card was finished off with a pretty bi-color double-loop bow created on my Bow-it-All V3.0 using turftan brown and capri blue Delicate Stitched Satin ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope I've inspired you to grab your favorite flower dies and create a pretty floral card or project today.

Happy New Year to All!

3:30 AM 1 Comments
Hi friends.  Bonnie here today from Make Time to Craft to wish you all a Happy New Year!!
Have you been loving the NEW Shaker Card Dies and kits as much as I have?  They make it so easy to create a shaker card and the little shaker pieces are fantastic.
I created my shaker and this time rather than have the shaker sit on top of the card, I used foam to back the top half of the card as well so it would be flush.  I always take the extra time to color the sides of the foam too.  It make the finished card look that much nicer.

I topped the card off with a pretty bi-color bow created with silver and gold glitz ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon and finished the center off with a pretty embellishment.

Now don't think that just because it's New Year's Eve now that this kit/die has no value any more.  What about a new baby born in 2017, graduation, scrapbook pages, etc.  I see lots of opportunity to continue to use this die though 2017.

I want to wish everyone a Happy, Healthy and Crafty New Year!
