Celebrate with Roses Card

3:30 AM 0 Comments
A warm hello to you. Glad to see you here. It's Debbie with you  from Debbie's Time Out. Today I am sharing a card with you combining the Step Card die with the Pop Up "Celebrate" die.

I started  with the A2 Fancy Step Card as my base. I cut the Pop Up Celebrate  from a piece of flowered paper and layered it to the center of the step card. The "Celebrate" was inked up with distress inks.  I cut a piece of flowered paper to fit behind the scrolls of the step card.

Here I lave layered three different die cut outs to the center of the step card. The Fleur De Lis Square DoilyDusty Miller Square and the Vintage Tile in that order.

Next came the flower arrangement. All were cut in white and inked with distress inks. I placed two of the  Tiny Fanciful Flourish on two corners opposite each other. I then created roses using the medium- Rose and the Tea Rose small. I added a couple of yellow Darling Daisies  to each side of the rose. I cut and used the Branch as greenery around the flowers. This is a simple card to make  but with the fancy step card and the dies I choose to use it turns out to be a very elegant card that anyone would love to receive.  Until next time have a crafty day my friends.

Hippie Herione by Debbie Brownmiller

3:30 AM 2 Comments
Hello.  It's Debbie back with you from Debbie's Time Out. I am showcasing two of the new dies from the last release which are  the Hippie Heroine  and the Paisley Frame . I just love the details in these two dies.
I started my card by cutting the Paisley Frame  out. To add color to it, I inked it with three different colors of distress inks. It was then layered onto black to really show off the details in this frame. I cut and inked one of the Sentiment Tag 3 and layered the Happy and Birthday onto it.
Now look at the beautiful detail in this Hippie Heroine . I cut her from white cardstock and the layered brown cardstock behind the hair and fussy cut around the hair. I then added some color to the white piece with distress inks. A couple of different brown tones were added to the hair, flesh tones to the face and then some eyeshadow, blush and lipstick was applied. I created a rose from the medium- Rose to put into her hair and used the feathers from the Dream Catchers #1 . A bit of bling was added to finish off the card.

Well I hope I have inspired you to play with these new dies. The detail is so amazing. Cheery Lynn Designs never lets us down with the detail in their dies,

Thank You so much for visiting the blog today and for commenst you leave. I always enjoy reading your comments. Have a wonderful day my friends.

A tag for the girls by Maggi

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Today I have a tag for you that I think would be perfect to add to a bottle of wine and gift to a girlfriend that needs a little cheering up.  I love the sentiment that comes from Graphic 45's new Portrait of a Lady collection.

I've used some dies from the new release of Cheery Lynn Designs Bohemian Dies.  Down the center I've used  the Indie Border Die from the Bohemian collection.  I love how the design paper underneath peeks through the cut outs.

I added several layers in the center starting with Nesting Doll- Circles #2.  That makes a really great background for the  Mandala Doily 2  layer, also from the Bohemian collection.  The sentiment was diecut from design paper with a die from the Pierced Stacker 2 6 Piece Die Set.
Of course the tag has to be finished off with some flowers!  The large flower was made with the Floral Bouquet Kit 8 Piece Die Set.  The other flowers are roses made with the medium and large rose die sets.  A seam binding bow at the top and a organza trim around the edges are the perfect finishing accents for this feminine tag.

Birthday Wishes by Debbie Brownmiller

3:30 AM 3 Comments
A warm hello to you. It's Debbie hosting the blog today from Debbie's Time Out. Today I have created a card using some beautiful roses that I had previously made that were in my stash. This is a birthday card for all who have a birthday in December when things get hectic. We want to make sure we celebrate those birthdays too.  So here is a birthday card for you before I post more Christmas cards.

I started with a grey marbled piece of paper matted onto black cardstock. I then layered the Quatrefoil A2 Frame in the center. For the two corners I layered the Ornament #9 .  The Birthday Wishes Circle  was layered on to the lower corner of the card. This gave me a nice base to start building my flower arrangement .
Here is a close up of the flower arrangement. I started by layering the Mini Fanciful Flourish , Rose Leaf Strip , Floral Bouquet Kit , Mini Flourish One Die as filler to place the roses on. I then layered the Large Rose  and the medium- Rose on top. With a red feather tucked in behind it all it finished the card off nicely. I hope I have inspired you to play with some flowers. Cheery Lynn Designs has a huge selection of flowers, leaves and flourishes to choose from. Mixing and matching them together makes for  beautiful flower arrangements.
