Fun at Easter by Julie Lavalette

Hi Cheery Lynn fans, it’s JULIE here today and I am sharing some inspiration for Easter on my card using a selection of adorable cute dies.

I started by cutting out my Quatrefoil frame in white cardstock and using the beautiful Wild Rose paper pad from Craft Consortium I started to build my background layers adding a grass border to the edge of my basket and card.

My whimsical flowers I cut from the same paper pad making sure I placed the Die onto a patterned area of the paper to make my flowers look full of soft shades. I also added a flower to the centre of my bow.

My basket was cut out in Kraft Cardstock and I highlighted the embossed areas with a Fine Liner pen. My sweet bunny is holding a couple of small Easter Eggs and he has a fluffy Pom Pom tail.

Finishing off with a cute little Bird on a branch which is on sale at present in our Clearance Section along with a vast range of other dies, so do check it out.

Springtime Birthday by Julie Lavalette

Hi Cheery Lynn fans, its JULIE here today. This last week in Scotland has been very cold and we have had a lot of snow and frost. Thinking of warmer days I decided to create a Birthday card using one of our latest Pop-Up Dies - Celebrate, along with spring coloured cardstock.

I shadowed layered my word Celebrate 3 times to make it pop and incorporate the colours on my card design and flowers.

My flowers were all cut out in white cardstock and shaded in the centres with some ink. Next I shaped the petals on my Embossing mat and added Flowersoft into the centres. The smaller flowers I bunched a few together in places and added single ones too for extra detail and interest.

'Tis the Season by Julie Lavalette

Hi Cheery Lynn fans, it's JULIE here today and I'm sharing some festive inspiration using our super fun new Brad the Reindeer Die.

I started by cutting out my background layers all in glitter card for lots of sparkle. My snowflake I layered two different snowflake Dies to form my snowflower adding lots of bling onto it. This was then placed onto my Holly Flourish which I cut into sections and placed around my snowflower.

Brad was cut out in a mixture of kraft, cream and glitter cardstock. I added a little Distress Ink onto the edges of his face. The antlers I used Distress Powder and a white Embossing powder for added texture.

Easter Greetings Card

Hi there peeps! Hope your weekend is going well. Cherry here at the Cheery Lynn Designs blog. I have a cute Easter card to share today. The dies I used are a must have for Easter crafting.

I started with covering my card stock with some pattern paper and layered it with the Quatrefoil A2 Frame die. This die is a go to for me. It can really set the mood for a card. Either very simple and casual or can be added to a card for more depth and texture.

I then added my ribbon and made my big loopy bow. From here the Nesting Dolls Tags 2 - 5 piece set was used for more interest. I hand cut a little banner and stamped my tag. I die cut the Bunnies and added foam adhesive for dimension. From here I added my flowers using both the Gardenias and the Sweet Christine flowers.

A Boho Hello!

Hi Cheery Lynn peeps. Have you had time to play with any of the new releases? They have been so much fun for me! I went very CAS on this card. Not my usual design style, but you got to try something different once and awhile right?

I used the Quatrefoil A2 frame die as my background. I stayed very neutral with all my colors and used the dies to add texture and interest.

I used the new Mandala Doily 2 Die set and layered it with the Feather 3 Die Set.

I love the feather die set....I can't wait to use them on a Thanksgiving Fall card!

Other than that I just added some simple ribbon and tied it to the side. I added a simple greeting of Hello from the Bohemian word 5 die set. Love the font on it.

Maybe I will try a few more CAS cards...I know these dies make it easy to do!

Birthday Wishes by Debbie Brownmiller

A warm hello to you. It's Debbie hosting the blog today from Debbie's Time Out. Today I have created a card using some beautiful roses that I had previously made that were in my stash. This is a birthday card for all who have a birthday in December when things get hectic. We want to make sure we celebrate those birthdays too. So here is a birthday card for you before I post more Christmas cards.

I started with a grey marbled piece of paper matted onto black cardstock. I then layered the Quatrefoil A2 Frame in the center. For the two corners I layered the Ornament #9 . The Birthday Wishes Circle was layered on to the lower corner of the card. This gave me a nice base to start building my flower arrangement .

Here is a close up of the flower arrangement. I started by layering the Mini Fanciful Flourish , Rose Leaf Strip , Floral Bouquet Kit , Mini Flourish One Die as filler to place the roses on. I then layered the Large Rose and the medium- Rose on top. With a red feather tucked in behind it all it finished the card off nicely. I hope I have inspired you to play with some flowers. Cheery Lynn Designs has a huge selection of flowers, leaves and flourishes to choose from. Mixing and matching them together makes for beautiful flower arrangements.

Amazing Summertime Card by Amy Voorthuis

Good morning lovelies.

There are some pretty amazing changes on this team! We now have new dies every month and a blog hop to introduce the new dies. And we are pretty glad that you are following us in this wonderful process so please keep doing so. With that being said I would like to show you a card I made {lately I can't find the time to make layouts, but that will come after the summer time}. Speaking of summertime, this card was made with that NEW collection by Maja Design - a surprise, if you visit my blog you could win that collection.

Amazing Summertime:

Behind the Quatrefoil I placed a piece of transparante sheet to make my card see through. That gives such a nice effect and it looks like your card has much dimension. I am in need of that vacation break so badly. I just need to work for another month {why does that sound so long?}. This card makes my heart sing.....

Yesterday I was making flowers all day to use on my cards and layouts in the next coming months. I am totally hooked, so when I am off work later today I will keep going. Wish me luck. On the picture below you can see how it looks with the see through part. Hopefully you are not getting tired of me using that collection.

Amazing Summer Day 8x8 Layout by Amy Voorthuis

Good morning everyone.

Today I would like to show a projects that is totally in my comfort zone with lots of flowers and layers. For this layout I used the pretty "A Ladies' Dairy" collectors edition by Graphic 45.

My uncle posted this amazing picture of him {in the back as a goofy clown} and my aunt the second on the left way back in the sixties at a campground on little Barbee Lake in Indiana. The three other girls are their nieces. So adorable don't you think?

Amazing Summer Day:

On the metal plate the text says "reality has limits, imagination is boundless". It just so fits to this amazing picture with all beautiful minded people on it. The cream dotted paper I sprayed with water in the upper right corner to make it wrinkly. Then I placed another blue piece of paper behind it and just went nuts with stamping, spraying and pasting.

Maybe most of you know I love to use metal on my layout's and here I used metal brads for the centers of my layout and in the upper right corner I used a screw met embellishment by "Finnabair"!

On the cute leaves from the B777 - Floral Bouquet Kit {NEW} I added some glossy accents to give it more dimension. Also I cut apart the pretty FRM154 - Quatrefoil A2 Frame #2 {NEW} to place the pieces behind my picture which I layered on two pieces of paper.
