Hello Cheery Lynn fans and Merry Christmas to you!!  I hope you are all spending the day with family and friends and good food.

Today I'm sharing a quick ornament I made with my favorite Christmas die from Cheery Lynn Designs this year - Brad the Reindeer.  It may be too late for this year, but it's never too soon to start planning for next year, right?

This die set makes things super easy because there is a separate die for each layer and you just cut them in the colors of your choice and assemble.  And look how wonderful it comes out!
Brad the Reindeer is just toooo cute!  He is perfect for cards, gift tags or for a Christmas tree ornament which is what I did here.  I made him double sided so he's perfect for the tree.

Here he is on my tree.  Most of my ornaments are hand-made ornaments I created through the years.  I don't have as much time for the elaborate ornaments any more, but Brad was a quick and easy addition this year.

 Happy Tuesday everyone! leslierahye here with a quick and easy tutorial on creating snowflake ornaments from Cheery Lynn's fabulous doilies! For each ornament cut 2 of your favorite doily, 2 of the smallest horizon circle boutique stacker, 1 of the large horizon boutique stacker and I cut a circle about a half inch smaller than the total doily to build my snowflake on. I used a brushed silver card stock for my doilies and a bright white card stock for the rest of the dies. You could use whatever color combinations you prefer.



Then folding the opposite direction--back side out--fold at the eighths. Do this for the little horizon circle boutique dies as well...they fit inside your big doilies.

Hi everyone, well it's Friday... let the weekend begin!

Today I would normally do a post for our current weekly challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs but I am having so much fun with the new release dies I couldn't help myself.  I made a project using some of my New Release dies and I was having so much fun I pulled out some of my oldies but goodies to do a second project.

For my first project, I want to show you a card I made using the new Lacey Christmas Ornaments.  They are so delicate and pretty and I know you are going to have a lot fun using them.  They even have a built-in hanger so you can actually hang them up!  How cool is that!  I also thought the Merry Christmas sentiment was the perfect accompaniment to make a lovely Christmas Card.

For this project I used the following dies:
B215 - Expandable Tiny Borders
B216 - Wreath Strip
B160 - Queen Anne's Lace Border
B186 - Merry Christmas Set
DL227 - Lacey Christmas Ornaments
XL-7 - Oval - Classic - LG Stackers Nesting Dies

As well and in keeping with this weeks challenge theme Corner Adorners (must use a corner embellishment), my second project is a card in honor of a sweet friend.    I know she loves these colors together and the inspiration for the color combination came from her.  For this card I used the Spring Flower Burst Doily die with Angel Wing and cut it once in each color.  I then cut and layered sections of the doily with each of the colors to get this effect.  It is a little time-consuming but the results are so worth it.  I hope you will give it a try : )
