Hello card by Eva Dobilas

Hi there, this is Eva. Today I am sharing a card that is nature inspired. I also did a little bit of watercoloring.

To start my card I created a card base out of light blue card stock. Next I die cut the largest Horizon Coved Rectangle Boutique Stacker Frames Die out of watercolor card stock and painted it. Next die cut Fancy Pots 3 Piece Die Set, Leafy Flourish 2 Piece Die Set, Feathered Friends 4 Piece Die Set and Sweet Christine 6 Piece Die Set out of watercolor card stock and I painted them all in with water colors. Next I die cut the Bird Nest out of kraft card stock and built my pottery scene.

As a final touch I die cut the Hello sentiment and added it to my card.

For Someone Special by Eva Dobilas

Hi there, this is Eva today with a super fun card using some of our new dies I love!

To create this card I started out with an A2 size card which I cut out of a pink card stock. Next I die cut one of the Rectangle Scalloped LG Silver Stackers and fit it on my card slanted to give it an interesting look. Next I added some watercolor to the top portion. Next I die cut the Floral Bouquet Kit using water color card stock and painted them and added them to the top portion of the card. I also added a black half pearl in my flower.

Finally I die cut the Whimsical For Someone Special using black card stock and added it to my card.

Cherish Card by Eva Dobilas

Hello, this is Eva and today I have quite a spring feeling card using one of our newest dies, the 3D Rose 2.

So to start out my card I just created an A2 size card base out of a light blue card stock. Next I cut a patterned paper down just a little smaller than my card front and roughed up the edges and twirled the top right corner in and adhered it to my card front.

Next I worked on my flower. I die cut two of the flowers out of light pink card stock and created the first one, but after consulting with our design team it was decided to use a second die cut to create the bottom layers to make it look fuller and that's when the flower really came alive. I also added pearl stamens in the middle of my flower. A little tip for this flower is to spray it with water to be able to shape it better. I also sprayed it with shimmer spray to get the pretty color.

Next I die cut the leaves using Flourish #14, which was perfect for this flower. Then I die cut Ornament #9 out of light blue card stock and just to layer with. Next I die cut one of the gorgeous frames from the Ornament #9 set, which is becoming a favorite of mine and finally the word Cherish out of light blue. As a final touch I added some pretty crystal flourish bling on my card.

Hope you like this pretty card, I sure love the way my flower turned out!

Red and Green Christmas Card by Eva Dobilas

Hi there, this is Eva here today. Well, last week it was about non-traditional color holiday cards. This week, we are focusing on Red and Green, so of course I wanted to play along in the challenge.

For my card I created my card base using two different dies, Horizon Coved Rectangle Boutique Stacker Frames and Coved Rectangle Scalloped LG Stackers Nesting Dies. I used red, green and gold glitter and stock. Then I die cut a Nautical Wheeler Doily using a cream card stock. Then I die cut two 3-D Poinsettia dies using red card stock and layered the on top of each other and added little pearls in the middle.

I die cut the sentiment from the Joy to the World Wreath die set out of black card stock and added it to my flower and finally I die cut a Peace Dove out of light blue card stock to add to my flower.

Hello Textured Card by Eva Dobilas

Hi there, this is Eva here today. Happy Labor Day to you! Hope you have a great day today. I have a textured background card to share with you today, since that is is our challenge for this week. I had fun with creating this one!

To start out my card, I cut an A2 size card base using light blue card stock, than cut a slightly smaller size panel out of black card stock. Than I took the Daisy Lace Frame and embossed it onto a cream card stock instead of cutting it all the way through. I inked it up and die cut it using A2 Frames Rectangular Scalloped die.

Next I die cut the smallest Historic Barcelona Square Boutique Stackers Frame die and backed it up with black card stock, so the design would pop. I die cut a Royal Scandinavian Tag 2 our of cream card stock and Hello out of black card stock and popped them on top of the Historic Barcelona Square Boutique Stackers Frame.

Next I die cut a Crafty Ann Flourish #3 out of green card stock and Sweet Christine out of yellow card stock a few times and added it to my flourish. Finally I added some pretty pearls to my card.

Hi there, this is Eva here today posting my first official post on the Cheery Lynn Designs Blog. It brings me the joy to share a thank you card purely made with beautiful Cheery Lynn dies. I can never create enough thank you cards as there is always so much to be thankful for.

I really enjoyed making this card with all the pretty dies. To create my card I cut an A2 size card base using cream card stock. I die cut the largest Deutschland Boutique Stacker out of Prima patterned paper, and layered it on top of the card front.

Than I die cut a smaller Deutschland Boutique Stacker out of another Prima patterned paper and cut off the edges to a rectangle to fit in the middle of the larger stacker and backed it up with red patterned paper, so it can show through the pretty doily stacker.

I die cut the larger heart out the Two of Hearts dies out of Prima patterned paper and also die cut the word Thank you out of gold foil card stock and layered it on top of the heart die. Finally I die cut a butterfly using one of the Small Exotic Butterflies #2 and die cut it's wing to contrast with it and added an orange color pearl in the middle.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Sandy here with you today, Leslierahye is having technical difficulties. Our challenge theme this week is Celebrate and since it is St. Patrick's Day, I thought I would join in the fun. Using my French Flair Stackers, I created a white easel card. Using green card stock, I added a Horizon French Flair Boutique layer to both the front and the base of the card. Next came a DP panel, cut with a coordinating Silver French Flair Stacker. Using green card stock again, I cut a Horizon Circle Boutique layer and another DP panel using a coordinating Silver Circle Stacker. This was the perfect backdrop for this fun Leprechaun from Karen's Doodles. To create the panel across the center of the base, I used my Horizon Rectangle Boutique die.

For my flowers I used Tea Rose Small, Tea Rose Medium and Sweet Christine flower strips. I die cut one strip of each. Using a black Micron pen, I added some veins to the petals and then added green Distress ink. Using a stylus and an embossing mat, I added some shape to the flowers. Then I stacked the Tea Rose medium and small to create the larger flowers turning them so the petals do not line up. The single blooms are the Sweet Christine petals. I added some green Stickles to the centers of the flowers. The leaves are part of the tea rose dies.

Lucky Bird Greetings

Happy Tuesday everyone! leslierahye here with a Lucky Bird Greeting! I created this St. Patrick's Day card with the A2 Frames and the Dutch Daisy Boutique Stacker Frame. The various layers of cardstock were cut with the frames. The piece of paper-backed canvas was also cut using the stacker die. I placed it so that it cut through the canvas first and through to the paper. I ran the canvas through my Vagabond twice and the piece of cut canvas came out simply.
For the greeting I layered a small rectangle frame with a Sentiment Frame and a Hello Sentiment. A bit of Dancing Doily Lace peeks out behind the image and sentiment.

Spring Hugs

Happy Tuesday everyone! leslierahye here sharing a spring card complete with garden fence, flowers and a butterfly. I love the A2 stackers and how great they are for making layers on your card. This card uses 4 of the rectangles to create layers....the focal piece that I water-colored is a much larger stamp and I simply cut with an inner rectangle the portion I wanted to show on my card. The mini doily is inked around the edges to enhance the laceyness of the doily. A mini flourish, mini butterfly and tiny flowers complete the look of the card. I'm ready for spring! only four more weeks!

Clean and Simple Valentine with Rhonda

Greetings and welcome, it's Rhonda here today to host the blog for you.

I have card to share that is more clean and simple today. I wanted to play along with our all new challenge "Tickled Pink", so I paired my pink sweetheart frame with a black square cardstock base.

I added a square scalloped LG stacker to the back of the card to frame it. The center square to back my sweetheart frame was cut from my square classic LG stackers. I shaped the Heart and Arrow and adhered with foam dimensionals for interest.

Once Upon a Time...

Happy Tuesday everyone! leslierahye here with another example using the new release dies. I am using the Royal Scandinavian Border Set which matches perfectly the Royal Scandinavian Doily which was part of a previous release. The Doily is cut with a solid center and layered onto a matted square. The Once Upon a Time sentiment was adhered with a piece of bling for the dot on the "i".

To create the layered trim across the center of the card, I cut my card stock pieces and taped the dies to hold the placement. For the yellow strip I ran the card stock through twice to cut on both edges. I love that these dies can be used on an edge of any 8" or shorter piece of card stock to add a fancy touch. A bit of bling in the centers of the motifs added the perfect embellishment.

Happy Halloween

Happy Tuesday everyone! leslierahye here with a fun Halloween card. I die cut the Lacey Pumpkin Corner in orange. I kept the orange pieces of the pumpkin to fill in the lace after I colored the lacey die cut with brown. When I layered the lacey corner onto the distressed matte, I glued in the orange pieces and colored in the leaf pieces with green watercolor.
I layered two of the sentiment tags and added the small Happy Halloween sentiment to the front. I completed the card with some penwork and white chalk.

A Winter White Hello

Happy Tuesday everyone! leslierahye here sharing a winter hello with a few more dies from the new release. I used the new Snowflake Doily again which goes along with this weeks challenge and I added the new Dancing Snowflake Flurries! This is such a fun die! It has little dots here and there on circles on the swirl that just beg for some bling and bigger circles in "flowers" that want bling too! I went with white on white-with-some-glitz. For all of my snowflakes I misted my paper with a pearly mist that added a nice shimmer. To complete my card I added a few flowers and a scattering of snowflakes and a simple Hello.

A Harvest Hello

Happy Tuesday everyone! leslierahye stopping by with a harvest hello! I love using papers in one collection--they go so well together and make card making easy peasy! For this card I paired patterned papers with solids in the collection to make mats and frames. To play along with this weeks challenged I used the nesting Circle Stitch set with the Scalloped Circle Stackers to create a faux stitch around my Hello Focus! The little bees and sunflower are long time favorites. I picked the palest color in the collection, die cut my petals and bee bodies and then added in the yellow with my Spectrum Noir pens. On the strips edged with Ankara lace and on the bow, I ran a black marker along edges to give them a finished look. I love the wild vine look of the Add A Flourish--it gives the bee the look of flying around and adds a bit of interest to draw your eye into the card.

Make a Wish!

Happy Tuesday everyone! leslierahye here with a birthday card using the Make a Wish sentiment! I love the two sizes mixed together on a card. I began by texturing some mixed media card stock. I cut the Make a wish out of the Stone Grunge texture plate--and then I hand-colored the paper with Spectrum Noir markers and rubbed with metallic creams. The square background was created similarly with Mixed Media Card Stock. I then stamped with a deckle stamp the background and rubbed creams to create the color. A border Strip with the Dancing Doily lace was added to one edge of the textured square. A "candle: was created with a rolled up 2" strip of paper--the edges were rubbed with metallic rubs as well. Finally a Sweet Christine flower was colored with markers and glittered. It was then cut into flame shapes and added to the candle using a toothpick to hold it in place. Finally a few more Sweet Christine Flowers were colored and glittered. A pearl bead was added to the centers as a final touch.
