Joy to the World by Jenny Alia

Hi, it's Jenny hosting the blog today with a new Christmas card. I love this adorable reindeer die and thought it was the perfect time to try it out. The details on it are wonderful and it doesn't need a lot of embellishment to really make a statement. This card was quick enough to make that it could probably be replicated for Christmas cards.

I first cut the Deutschland Boutique Stacker out of white cardstock and glued it to a green A2 sized card. I then layered the second largest of the Royal Scandinavian Boutique Stacker Frames on top that was cut with kraft card stock. I cut the Joy to the World die a couple of times to get the wreath green and the center dies (which I didn't cut out) cut with white and red paper to layer the Joy word on top.

I double cut the Reindeer fun die so I'd have some red pieces for his nose, collar and belt. I used a piece of white paper behind his body and a piece of black behind his eye and ears. I wanted his body to stand out from the kraft background so I also touched him up with some distress ink for dimension.

Collect Beautiful Moments by Karen Maldonado

Hello there Cheery Lynn friends! Karen here sharing an elegant card

with a lovely sentiment "collect beautiful moments"!

Start by taking your Card Maker Rectangle Classic set and

layer three of them using grey and mustard designer papers.

Layer the smallest die from the Deutschland Boutique Stacker A2 Frame

set across the top part of the smallest classic layer die in grey

with the bottom of that strip in ivory designer paper.

Then, make two Shasta Daisy flowers,

using the leaves from the Tea Rose Medium set,

and add a few of the Tiny Fanciful Flourish Right/Left in

between the flowers, and that's all!!

Trick or Treat!

Corina here with you today on the Cheery Lynn Designs blog. For this weeks card I used embossing powders to give the die cuts dimension, depth, and texture.

I started with a card base in white cardstock and sprayed with blue and purple dye ink. I layered the Spider Web Mesh Border on top and spritzed with water. Then removed the Spider Web Mesh Border. This technique lightens the area not covered by the border die cut, leaving a stencil/ghost like effect. I dried with a heat gun. See the wonderful look it created below. If you wanted a more intense look, just let the water sit longer before drying with a heat tool.

I cut the Deutschland Boutique Stacker A2 Frame die cut from black cardstock and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Then layered onto the card. I added a Spooky Tree which was covered in UTEE and while warm pressed a wood grain stamp into the UTEE to give texture.

My favorite part from this card, is the T rick or Treat sentiment. I cut it out twice. Once in white cardstock and sprayed with green dye ink. This is my base layer of the sentiment. The second was cut from black cardstock, I only applied embossing ink and black sparkle powder randomly to the top of the die cut. I then trimmed and adhered to the top of the green sentiment base.

Off to Great Places with Jenny Alia

Hello, it's Jenny here with a red, white & light blue card. First I used the largest of the Deutschland Boutique Stackers to cut the blue layer that was glued to a white A2 card. The red layer was cut with the Rectangular Classic A2 Frames. I stamped the quote, cut it with a small circle from the Circle Classic Silver Stackers Set, and adhered it to the Nautical Wheeler Doily. The interior of the circle was shaded with antique linen distress ink.

The flowers were cut with the Poinsettia Strip. I used a light blue card stock and shaded the edges with peacock feathers distress ink. I crumpled the petals for a distressed look and added rhinestone centers. The leaves were cut from the Flourish Leaf Strip and flourishes from the Add a Flourish dies. Then I tucked them into the flowers.

Last I used one of the Small Exotic Butterflies, colored him with distress ink, popped him up with foam adhesive and added rhinestones.

Once Upon a Time with Jenny Alia

Happy Thursday! It's Jenny posting with a card I created using some new dies from the April Cheery Lynn Designs release.

I designed this card around the Royal Scandinavian Oval Doily and everything evolved from there. The Shasta Daisy was colored with distress ink and shaped using a molding mat and stylus tool. I added a shimmery embossing paste to the edges with a paintbrush for sparkle. The daisy was layered on top of the new Deutchland Super Doily. It was the perfect size to layer behind the daisy for added interest.

The blue layer was cut using the Rectangular Scalloped A2 Frames die. A pattern was cut into it using the second largest of the Dutch Daisy Boutique Stacker A2 Frames. The blue layer sits on a piece of patterned paper cut with the Deutschland Boutique Stacker A2 Frames which was then backed with a kraft A2 size card. I popped up the Scandinavian Oval Doily with foam adhesive for dimension and then glued the Shasta Daisy, Pumpkin Carriage, Leafy Flourish and Dripping Butterfly around the main sentiment.

The Once Upon a Time Set was cut twice, once in blue and then again in brown. I offset them so the blue shadow would be visible underneath the brown. The tag they are layered on was cut using the Pierced Stacker 4 from patterned card stock and the edges were painted with clear stickles.

Hi there, this is Eva here today posting my first official post on the Cheery Lynn Designs Blog. It brings me the joy to share a thank you card purely made with beautiful Cheery Lynn dies. I can never create enough thank you cards as there is always so much to be thankful for.

I really enjoyed making this card with all the pretty dies. To create my card I cut an A2 size card base using cream card stock. I die cut the largest Deutschland Boutique Stacker out of Prima patterned paper, and layered it on top of the card front.

Than I die cut a smaller Deutschland Boutique Stacker out of another Prima patterned paper and cut off the edges to a rectangle to fit in the middle of the larger stacker and backed it up with red patterned paper, so it can show through the pretty doily stacker.

I die cut the larger heart out the Two of Hearts dies out of Prima patterned paper and also die cut the word Thank you out of gold foil card stock and layered it on top of the heart die. Finally I die cut a butterfly using one of the Small Exotic Butterflies #2 and die cut it's wing to contrast with it and added an orange color pearl in the middle.

Friends Card with Corina Finley

Corina here, to host the blog today and to share my card.

This weeks card highlights the A2 Frames Rectangular Classic set and the Deutschland Boutique Stacker A2 Frames.

I used a medium grey cardstock to cut the Deutschland Boutique layers and black cardstock for the A2 Frames Rectangular Classic set.

The Exotic Butterfly Medium #3 is cut out of light cardstock and clear acetate. The butterfly is layered, first layer is acetate, the top layer is cardstock and glued only in the middle.

The floral arrangement was created using the Cherry Blossom, Ivy Corner, and Olive Branches. I used a glitter pen on the black cardstock and added clear rhinestones.

Happy Tuesday everyone! leslierahye here with a layout using the new release dies. My family is in 4-H and the kids show rabbits as a project. The bunny dies in the new release are a perfect accent for my 8×8" layout. I layered mats cut from the Deutschland Boutique stacker set with mats with the Deutschland Border set. I love how they work together nicely with the A2 Frames. We show Californian Rabbits and they have the exact body type as the Bunnies. To finish them off I colored their noses, feet, tail and ears gray/black like the real rabbits. I titled my layout #Iam4H to complete the page.

'Free Bird' Card with Corina Finley

Hello!

Corina here with you today to host the blog. It has been a few weeks, due to the awesome January New Release unveiling last Friday!

I used the leaves from the Rose and Leaves (set of 3) die. These leaves have such a wonderful detail to them, they are a perfect addition to any floral arrangement.

My favourite aspect of this card is the band across the bottom. Using my die cut machine and one die from the Royal Scandinavian Border Set (set of 3), I cut the border in black cardstock. I then used light yellow cardstock, measuring 4 1/4 x 3/4 and placed the same die in the center and cut it out. I kept the negative pieces (the pieces that you would throw away).

To assemble my band:

I fit one negative piece of light yellow cardstock to the top of the black die cut border and one to the bottom. Like puzzle pieces!

I then cut a piece of pattern paper to 4 1/4 x 1 1/4. I adhered the black and yellow border to the pattern piece with an even matte of pattern paper showing at the top and bottom but flush on both ends.
