Maggi's Friendship Card and Tutorial

3:30 AM 2 Comments
Hello friends! Today I'm sharing a friendship card that I made for all of my internet friends.  I have met so many wonderful people online through this obsessive hobby of mine!  Just last week, I traveled to Seattle to meet up with friends that I met via the internet and scrapbooking.

I used Graphic 45's new collection, Penny's Paper Doll Family, and several dies from Cheery Lynn Designs to make this simple card.  I started out with a card base that is 3 1/2" x 6" and then adhered a layer diecut with the  A2 Frames Rectangular Scalloped 7 pc Die Set.  At  the top and bottom I added paper lace diecut with the Dancing Doily Lace Border.  I topped that with a cut-apart from the Paper Doll collection.

I filmed a tutorial showing you how I put this card together.

Close up of the lacy border topped with pearls.

I made this pretty flower with the  Black Eyed Susan Flower die.  This is definitely a favorite die, I just love the floral center!  You can see how to make this flower in my video.

The inside is simple, leaving plenty of room to write a message.

I'm sending all of you cyber-smiles and thanking you for following me and leaving the kind comments that you do on my work!  ðŸ’•

Tropical Birthday with Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 2 Comments

Hello everyone! I'm here today to share with you my first cascading card made for Cheery Lynn Designs. I have been making some different shaped cards lately. So I wanted to make this cascading card using lots of tropical flowers. It was inspired from patterned paper by K & Company. You will see the patterned paper below.

Lots of "tropical flowers" in hot pink, orange, and yellow. The "olive branches" and "flourishes" were my fillers. The "olive branches" even match the green patterned paper too!  I placed small pop dots behind the flowers for a bit more 3D look.

On the top edge I die cut "dancing doily" in white and fussy cut out 6 pieces.

I layered the "dancing doily" on the edge first. Next I placed leaves and flourishes and then placed the flowers on top. The "tropical flower" has 2 pieces, I die cut one in the color and then in white on top.

The sentiment was stamped in black and fussy cut out too.
Here you can see how it is flat for mailing.

Last, but not least...my patterned paper that was my inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by today!

A Lifetime Together by Karen Maldonado

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Welcome Cheery Lynn friends!  It's Karen here sharing my version
of this week's challenge "Lace (real or faux)" Anniversary card.

I started by layering several strips of paper across my 4.25 x 7 card.
I tore some of the top and bottom pieces and ink distressed.
Then, I tucked layers of the Dancing Doily Lace Border
and  Siena Double Edge Border (which are both my faux 'lace strips')!

Then, I made a big Stacker Flower 6, and using the long strip from the
Black Eyed Susan Strip die, I made a center of my flower!
I tucked two of the  Dandelions flowers beneath the flower,
and layered a few  Tropical Leaves, and that's it!!

List of dies:

Come and play along in this week's challenge for a chance
to win a $20 gift certificate to the on-line store!!

Have a terrific day!
Hugs & Smiles,
Karen

3:30 AM 2 Comments
Hello to all,
It's Wednesday today and that means it is Cheery Lynn time. Today I bring to you a favourite card shape that I make quite often ...Stepper card. I love this shape as it gives me enough scope to incorporate various layers at different level giving it a 3D look. Plus , since there are no cuts in this card, i.e,  I can make this in any measurements without racking my brains as to how to adjust measurements. I have used a beautiful doily -Sophia's Heart and on that I have made daisies made from the Daisy strip die . The paper is from stash and I have scored thin lines on it on my scoreboard and distressed it with Brushed corduroy distress ink to add some texture. Dancing Doily Lace Border DL 134
