This is one of my favourite cards as it has a very lacy look the use of the heart doily as a holder for that oval tags is really very creative. I have used lots of love quotes here so this card can be used for anniversary , or valentines day. Also lots of distressing on die cuts have been done to give it a shabby look.

TRIPLE TIME DIE CUT CARD WITH ANITA KEJRIWAL

3:30 AM 2 Comments

Hello friends,
Today I bring to you something new or rather something that has been on my mind for quite some time. I have always seen triple time stamping cards on the net and I love the layering in them . I often wondered why cannot we do the same with die cuts. Also , the various stacker dies in the Cheery Lynn designs made my task simpler. For this card here, I have used the same method or technique that you do for triple time stamping. Only that I have used die cuts instead of stamps. It required a great deal of careful assembling and cutting but the end result is good. What do you say ?? And after the final touch was over, the pattern looked like a printed paper. So just hop on to the store and look at the various stacker dies and you will get and idea how the whole thing will work out.

Dies used

XM Scalloped Coved Rectangle - XM-11

Coved Rectangle - XM-10

The season is Easter time and that is the challenge this week at the Cheery Lynn Designs blog. So do share your work and win some awesome prize. See you next week. Good day !!!

3:30 AM 2 Comments
Hello to all,
It's Wednesday today and that means it is Cheery Lynn time. Today I bring to you a favourite card shape that I make quite often ...Stepper card. I love this shape as it gives me enough scope to incorporate various layers at different level giving it a 3D look. I have used a beautiful doily -Sophia's Heart and on that I have made daisies made from the Daisy strip die . The paper is from stash and I have scored thin lines on it on my scoreboard and distressed it with Brushed corduroy distress ink to add some texture. The rest of the materials used are listed below.

Dancing Doily Lace Border DL 134

BE MY VALENTINE AND TICKLED PINK !!!!

3:30 AM 3 Comments

Dear Friends !!!! Its Anita here with my weekly wednesday post. The season of love is now in full bloom and everyone is going valentine crazy!!! So keeping in tune with the mood, here is a card that I made with lovely flowers and valentine dies , all available with the Cheery Lynn Designs. I have used lots of layers for my card and have given it a very lacey background. The Be My Valentine die cut has been made to sparkle using the Wink of Stella clear glitter pen and then more glittery using rangers clear stickles. The flowers are made using the Gardenia strip die . I applied a little yellow distress ink in the center of each flower die,  put three gardenia full flower die cuts together, secured it with a brad and sprayed some water. Then, I brought together the petals crushing them a little.  After it dries, the die cuts are opened gently, the brad is removed and the the three layers are assembled again with pollens in center taking care to offset the petals between each layer. The complete list of dies is given below.

The List of Dies

A VALENTINE SPECIAL CARD BY ANITA KEJRIWAL.

3:30 AM 5 Comments

Hello dear friends !!!!

Hope you all are fine. Its Anita here with a very special card for you in the Valentine month. Yes !!! February being the valentine month, I have made an Easel card and used lots of dies to give it very intricate look. Plus I have used my favourite Magnolia tilda stamps.
Another feature that I want to highlight here, is the way I have used the dies by some fussy cutting. For ex. The base of the card has the Anastasia border die. After cutting the die, I got not one but two edgers and both can be used beautifully. Here is the picture of the die after being cut.

Again, I have done fussy cutting on the doily die and used it as an ornate label. I have cut the top and bottom of the lords-commons-doily-set-of-2 and cut along the straight at the top and bottom. Then, I used a small rectangular piece with sentiment and sandwiched between the two. So here you have a beautiful tag.

Then for the flourish, I have again cut the fanciful flourish into many parts and used it at the base.
So after having a good look at your die, one can give it a new look by some cutting.
Now to my card. I love making such cards. They make me happy.

List of supplies

Horizon Square Boutique Stacker Frames - DL253

Mini Flourish Band - B176

Flowers--

Gardenia Strip - B339

stamps-Technique tuesday and Justrite and Magnolia tilda stamp.

Now for some good news. Cheery Lynn Designs is having a DT call and we want many many entries So hop on to the blog and see the details.
And we also have a challenge going on where you have to ADD A FLOURISH.  So thats a lot to do. I hope you will join us. Do leave your comments. Till then Bye and happy crafting !!!!

TEXTURE WITH DIES BY ANITA KEJRIWAL

3:30 AM 2 Comments

Hello dear friends !!!!
A warm hug to you and here is my wednesday post for all of you. I have brought for you a Thank You card made with the January New Release dies. You must browse through this section to see what a wonderful collection we have here , especially for the valentine season. My card measures 6.5 inches by 6.5 inches and I have given it a raised textured look using the French Lattice large frame die. I cut out the diecut in my diecutting machine and before loosening the square bits , I applied small foam tape pieces behind them. I removed the backing from the tape and then laid my die cut frame on the card stock , carefully lifting the border. The pieces that had tape at the back got adhered to the card. I used the die cut for adding another layer on the side as seen in the card. So you can cleverly use every bit of the die cut with just careful layering.
The flowers are made with Judy's bloom flower die. And the butterfly is so delicate and lacely, used from the new release. The border around the french lattice frame is another rectangular die, which is compatible with most of the frames and doilies. The rest of the supplies is listed below.

List of  Dies used.

A2 Frames Rectangular Classic (Set of 7) - CM5

Mayan Butterfly w/ Angel Wing - B533

A CHRISTMAS TAG AND ENHANCE YOUR DIE CUTS-A STEP BY STEP TUTORIAL.

3:30 AM 7 Comments
Hello Everyone,
I am back again with my weekly Wednesday post and today I bring to you a step by step tutorial on how to add that extra wow factor to your die cuts.
This is a picture heavy post as I have tried to show you each and every step. If I have missed anything on the way , please feel free to ask me.
Please follow the instructions with each picture.
The list of supplies is given at the end of the post.

These are the die cuts that we will need. I cut my die cuts in white so that I can colour and alter their look the way I want.

Cut the sides of the Fiona's magic mirror die cut with your scissors as shown.

Place the daisy lace frame on the cut tag and carefully mark out the edges to cut and fit the tag we have cut earlier.

This is how it should look after  it has been trimmed.

Now trim off that tree part from the die cut.

and using the glue, stick all the three die cuts together to give a thick look to your sentiment. This way it looks like a chipboard die cut.

Then apply versa mark on the die cut and cover it with gold embossing powder and apply heat with a heat gun .

We get a really glittered and thick embellishment like this.

Do the same thing with snow flakes die cut and use glittered embossing powder now.

Color the ornaments with copic colours

colour the leaves and flowers with distress inks and then spritz it with water. Dry with your heat gun . This gives a very nice sparkle to the flowers and leaves.

Apply foam dots at the back of the pieces that has to be popped up.

This is how the finished tags look like after all the elements have been placed.

Note the sparkled effect on the die cuts. I have applied a thin layer of clear glitter with my wink of stella clear glitter pen.

List of Supplies used
Distress inks-Worn Lipstick, Peeled Paint, Fired brick and forest moss
Versamark embossing pad
Embossing powders-Rangers Enchanted Gold and Holographic glitter
Ribbon and pearl from stash

I hope you liked this. Do leave your feedback. And the challenge this week is also to MAKE A TAG !!!
So do participate to win a yummy prize.
See you next week... Goodbye!!!!

AUTUMN COLORS WITH ANITA KEJRIWAL

3:30 AM 3 Comments

Autumn is its best in some parts while winter is setting its feet in some parts of the world. We are still basking in the glory of bright autumn colours. I just love these rich shades and the the sound of dry leaves that appear to be like music. Nature is so beautiful in Autumn. So here I bring today not one but two cards featuring the colours of Autumn. Two because .... I have used the same die in two ways and I wanted to show you how a negative of a die can be used as a stencil to make amazing backgrounds. This happened when , I just could not find the right shade of patterned paper for my card and then , this idea came in.

For the first card, I have cut the leaves and then distressed it with peeled paint, gathered twigs and rusty hinge. Then I applied mod podge dimentional magic and covered it with Rangers distress glitter all over it and left it to dry for a few hours. Then I put it on the card using the foam tape to give a pop up effect. Did you see the glittery shine on the leaves. I think they look so beautiful.

For this card, I simply used the negative of the dimensional leaf above and used it as stencil  and coloured with distress inks. Then I stamped with Hero arts script texture stamp and an Impression Obsession stamp to create this background. The rest is simple.

List of Supplies

Distress inks-Peeled paint, Rusty hinge, Gathered Twigs
Mod podge dimentional magic
Rangers dsitress glitter
stamps.-Hero arts, Impression obsession
So I hope my shades of Autumn will inspire you all to make your projects. Do submit them to the Cheery Lynn Challenge -AUTUMN COLOURS and win for your self some amazing prizes. Do stop by and leave a few words. Thanks for being there !!!!

DELICATE DOILIES WITH ANITA KEJRIWAL

3:30 AM 7 Comments
Hello to all!!!!

Today I bring to you a very simple card that highlights the new release doily dies.  The beauty of this card lies in the simple use of doilies with a square design. Yes!!!!! these are square shaped doilies. and it has detachable centre that can be used on paper to cut out individual mini doilies or even create a tile like pattern that I have done in my card here,

For my card , I have cut out two pieces of Royal Scandinavian Square doily and placed both together as shown. Before that , I distressed the centre of one die cut with distress inks.
For the tile pattern below, I placed the centre small square piece on a card stock, adhered it with scotch tape and cut through my die cut machine. Then I placed that same die next to this cut pattern and run through the machine again. This I repeated again to get this pattern.
Some ribbon and a simple sentiment and there you are !!! A card with such intricate cut work can be made in minutes. That is the beauty of these dies. They make simple cards look elegant.
So do have a look and enjoy the intricate details of this beautiful die.
