My Family

2:30 AM 8 Comments

Hello! One of the things I love about my dies from Cheery Lynn Designs, the patterns work for ANYTHING…guys, girls, layout, card, new and funky, or old and vintage!
When I found this old photo of my husband and his siblings, I knew the Dainty Dutch Deco Frame would be perfect for matting the photo.
After inking and masking the edges of my base cardstock, I started with the Mega Tea Party Doily. I added lace touches to my first layer using Francesca. Wanting just a small dainty touch to the middle layer, I adhered Wedding Garter, leaving only a small portion of the edge sticking out. The last layer being the French Flair Classic Silver Stacker. For a little bit if fun, I added 5 portions from the Pennant Die. Resting near the title is the Small Dragonfly.
Anyone that knows me knows how I love to take my creations and dies outside the box! While playing with my dies this week, I created the larger brown flower using Stacker Flower #5 and a brown grocery bag! I was really pleased with how splendidly the paper was to manipulate! The center of the flower is from Build a Flower #1 Also, arriving on my doorstep was a wonderful package of scrap goodies wrapped in gorgeous hounds tooth tissue paper! I was as excited over the tissue paper as the goodies inside! I cut eight layers of the tissue paper using the smallest Sweet Williams die. Staggering the layers, I attached and fluffed! After adding foliage from Pair of Ferns, Flourish Leaf Strip, Stacker Flower #1 Leaf, and Small Leaves 2; I added flowers cut from the Flower Chain Border and a Medium Rose cut from vellum.
Other dies used: Heart Key, Two of Hearts

Booklet card - Kianel

3:30 AM 14 Comments
Hello dear Cheery Lynn designs lovers,
Kianel here with you today to show a booklet card i made using Cheery Lynn designs dies. I also used the Diamond Card Craft scoreboard to create the structure.

The base of the card is square but i used the french flair stackers to make a cool opening. The french flair doily stacker adds an amazing elegant touch to it and then the printed paper is cut using the large silver french flair stacker.

I used a tag that i embossed with the dotted swiss embossing plate. I then cut out the two of hearts die and used the large one that i slightly inked. I then decorated with a pearl bucket and an exotic small butterfly die.

I used the Heart key die that i inked, stamped with a text and finally embossed in clear and tied up together with the ribbon.

And the card when it's opened:
On the inside, i also used the french flair doily stacker and then the large silver french flair stacker to coordinate the paper.

The little heart is coming from the two of hearts die and used together with an embossed exotic butterfly small. Under it, i added a tropical flourish die.

I used the Judy's blooms die that i colored with ink and shimmery paints. In the center of the bloom i tied up a button die from the Buttons 3 dimensionnal dies set.

There you can see the details of the Circle lace Mega doily die from the Reflections Boutique. See that i sewed the details of the die, pretty cool isn't it?

The papers are from TOGA, the shimmer paints and embossing powders are from Creative Inspirations paints, the dies are from Cheery Lynn designs, the stamp is a Whimsy Stamps.

Well, i hope you'll like it. Don't forget our weekly challenge and the DT call we are having.
See you next week, love from France, Kianel.

Sweet Banner

3:30 AM 8 Comments
Hello! Jodi here with you today. I want to share a banner I created for CHA. To make sure that you are able to see all the details as well as the dies used, there are a few photos. If you bare with me, I promise it will be worth your while! Remember, you can click on any photo to enlarge it.

The base of each section was created by cutting the English Tea Party Doily in half and covering the center of the doily with a scallop circle from the Stackers Nesting Dies-Circles Scalloped.

I began the “S” section, by adhering the large heart from Two of Hearts using foam adhesive. A Large Rose along with leaves from Small Dimensional Leaves #2 and Stackers Flowers #1 adorn the heart. To the side I added Olive Branches, embossing the leaves.

The “W” is backed with Stackers Nesting Dies Circle Scallop, atop the center part of the Nautical Wheeler Doily…two gorgeous doilies in one die! An Exotic Butterfly Mini garnishes the lot. Notice the little rose buds?! I created them by using only two or three diecuts from the Miniature Rose.

For the first “E,” I used the center of the Polynesian Sails Oval (again, two beautiful dies in one!) topped with a scalloped circle. Another butterfly from Exotic Butterfly Mini embellishes the grouping, but this one is embossed with Tim Holtz Distress Embossing ink and Distress Embossing Powder to give it a different look and unique, aged texture. The flower was created using two staggered layers of Cuties #2.

Again, I adhered a large heart as the backgound for the second “E.” To create the key, I cut Heart Key out of cardboard from a cereal box. Yes! The dies will easily cut through the box!! Custom made chipboard…cheap and effective! You gotta love that!! I brushed a combination of Ranger Distress Paints across the key. Once dried, I rubbed it with Distress Ink to bring out the crackle and give more of an antique feel. The flower is from Miniature Rose.

And finally, the “T” is backed with the center of the Polynesian Sails Oval and a scalloped circle propped atop a section of the Victorian Picket Fence. I used two staggered layers of Cuties #3 to create the flower The bud was created using two layers of diecuts from the Miniature Rose. Leaves from Large Dimensional Leaves #2, as well as Stacker Flower #1, and Olive Branches provide foliage.

That concludes our journey along the banner! Thank you for sticking with me today and have a super SWEET week!!

Mom and her bundle of Joy

3:00 AM 4 Comments
My new page with a lot of Cheery Lynn Designs dies and a lot of my lately favorite " white space" and my all time favorite grandson's photos .

I was back with my oldies and goodies here:
Large Scalloped French Flair-4 sizes and I made a frame of them too and  used  the small one for my journaling spot.
Expression Bubble #3 for the lower corner journaling and the Key die - as a key for Mom's Heart tied with some twine.
And last, but the best- Border Carnivale
The Key die was also added as " a key to the heart"
And the last but not least- this Arrow #2 die on the journaling spot- grab it now , it's on a Final sale now
I think you  got an idea how to scrap not messy pages with lots of Cheery Lynn Designs dies- layer them, hide them a bit under you photo- but use them a lot! They add a dimension and an interest to your projects!
Border Carnivale is just the Best of the Best- can't live without this one!!
And just for the record: this page was made for the first round in our Israeli first ever scrapbooking contest and togehter with another page and one altered piece I made round 2. Since then I made to semi- finals and just cross  my fingers to move to the finals as  we are 5 now and all 3 final girls win something.
Then I sent this page to Lily Bee Designs and they  showcased it on there blog about 3 days ago.
I am so glad everyone liked this page done with Cheery Lynn Designs best ever dies!
And now for the next, starting tomorrow week- we have a joint posting with Core'dintaions  DT girls
Be  here  and there- it's going to hit the web!

Time Flies

3:30 AM 5 Comments
Happy Monday blog readers!! It's Tanisha here with a couple of projects that I created using Cheery Lynn Designs dies and embossing plate.

I matted a couple of the clocks with Scalloped XLarge Nesting Circles and Little Stackers Scalloped Circles.

I used a couple of the new dies, Fanciful Flourish and Border Carnivale to add a touch of whimsy to the layout.

I added a bit of texture using the Do It Yourself embossing plate and large embossing pad and die cut a couple of Keys. I also used the School Days font to complete the title.

I used Exotic Mini Butterflies, Little Stackers Nesting French Flair, and Ribbon Eyelet Border, which I cut in half, to add the perfect touches to this "Celebrate" card.

Oh So Colorful

3:30 AM 6 Comments
My how quickly the days pass by when you're having fun!! Happy Monday Cheery Lynn Designs blog readers!! It's Tanisha here with a bright and colorful layout using Echo Park Papers and several of the newly releases dies.

Who says you can't use flowers on a boy layout? Certainly not me! I die cut Darling Daisies, Judy's Blooms, Sweet Williams, Fanciful Flourish, and Tropical Leaves from colorful papers to add a burst of personality to and carry out the theme of my layout.

I added a few Dimensional Butterflies and used the Varstiy 5/8" Alphabet Set and one of the Coved Rectangle Nesting dies to complete the title.

I used the Key and Scalloped Diamond Border dies to further embellish my layout.

Here's a close-up of all of the flowers I used. I just love the detail!

I found the perfect way to adhere the fanciful flourish without creating a big glue-y mess; I sprayed the back of the flourishes with Helmar's V2 Vellum adhesive and then placed it on the layout and there was no mess at all!

Thanks for stopping by the blog today. Be sure to check out the contest that we are currently running here on the blog for your chance to win 1 of 2 shopping sprees.

Until next post...have a great day!

Valentine's Day Cards

3:30 AM 4 Comments
Happy Valentine's Day bloggers!!! It's Tanisha here with a load of Valentine's Day cards that I created using Cheery Lynn Designs dies. I just love how versatile the dies are; they can be used straightforward or changed up to create an out of the box design.

I made this set of mini cards to go along with some goodies for my niece and nephews using XL Nested Scalloped Circles and Little Stackers Coved Rectangle. As you can see here, I used the scalloped circle as and embellishment on one of the cards and as the base of the other.

I created this next card for my sister's Valentine. Since the card is for a guy, I wanted to make it as masculine as possible. I achieved this look by adding a lot of texture. I cut the By The Sea Frame from patterned paper and chipboard and then used the Cement embossing plate from the grunge series to emboss it.

The frame actually cuts several pieces at a time, I just wanted the outer shape and the inner circle to create the faux scalloped border, so I put scotch tape around the parts that I didn't want cut out.

Here you can see the cement texture on the frame

I remember when the Heart to Heart Doily arrived at my house. I opened the package, but instead of seeing a heart, my mind's eye saw half of a butterfly wing and from that point, I couldn't wait to create a pretty butterfly with it. See I told you the dies are versatile! I used the Dots/Lines embossing plate to add some texture to the card base.

Here's a close up of the wing (err heart).

Below is a list of the supplies used on the cards. Click on each photo to find it in the store.

Love cards with all Heart to heart doily dies

3:30 AM 2 Comments

I still play with my new Heart to Heart Doily dies and this card was done using the 2 bigger dies and all 4 cuts of them on one card, using the foam 3D glue to layer all of them one over another.. When you use 2 kinds of paper you can get a great effect with those gorgeous dies.
I also used the heart key die; cutting on chipboard and glued with a thick layer of glitter Stickles glue.
And I think this card screams Love- so no sentiment was used at all.
All of this card was made with Prima papers and Prima  big flower and a bit of home twine.
And here are dies I used for this project:
