An Icky Sticky Yummy Card

3:30 AM 6 Comments
Hi Cheery Lynn fans, Donna here, did you know it's only two more weeks till Christmas, and Santa arrives with all those crafty presents......are you all ready for the big day?
For my card this week
I used a Mo Manning image called Sticky, isn't he a little darling!
My card is a 6.5 inch x 6.5 inch card

I cut out the French Flair Scalloped Nesting die in the largest size in red cardstock, and layered the French Flair Classic in the largest size out of green paper, then layered a Scalloped Circle Classic nesting die out of red cardstock and finally a white circle classic nesting die on top.
I've sprinkled it full of glamour dust and finally a spraying of irridescent spray from Crafter's Companion to get the overall shine to it. (Of course I had to do it outside in the freezing cold as it is an aerosol and very strong smelling) Finally I popped the image onto a action wobble. (I tried to take a picture of it in action but it just kept coming out blurry)
For the sentiment I used a combination of the word Happy and Christmas from the Merry Christmas sentiment set.
In the corner I layered up three snowflakes using silicone glue. The bottom snowflake is the snowflake 5, then the Snowflower from Set 2, finishing with the snowflake from the snowflake set (a must have set at this time of year)
I've also used one of the sentiment frames on the left side of the card popping two buttons from the Dimensional buttons on top.
Don't forget the Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge which this week is Tis the Season. You have the chance to win a $20 shopping voucher to use in the Cheery Lynn Designs store.

Vintage tag - Kianel

3:30 AM 12 Comments
Hello dear cheery lynn designs friends,
Kianel here with you today for a vintage tag.
The base is embossed with the Hearts and rose leaves that i inked in green before embossing to get a nice effect of texture.
I used the cardmaker's stackers to cut my stamped image out and cut 2 celtic heart borders that i placed all around my stamped image as a lace. As a decoration i used some left overs from the flourish leaf strip and added some pearls and a butterfly from the dimensional mini butterflies bundle.
At the bottom of the tag, i placed half of the ribbon eyelet border with piercing and added a small ribbon to it.
The flower is made with the frangipani die cut out from old book pages. In the center, i used a button die from the dimensionnal buttons set #3 and decorated with flourish leaf strip.
On the top of the tag i used the pennant die that i cut twice, once in cardstock and once in old book page.
Don't forget our weekly challenge for a chance to win a 20$ shopping spree!
Love from France, Kianel.

Cheery Lynn dies I used are
I'm not sure what the the colour of this paper is but its from Bo Bunny's double dot collection. The Sentiment is a new one from Lilli of the valley, I used distressing ink aged mahogany which matched the paper...

Here is a close up of the Anastasia Border with buttons #1 which I have threaded with plain white string.

Altered Notebooks With Imaginisice & Cheery Lynn Designs

5:39 AM 32 Comments
Hasn't this been a fantastic week of fun here at Cheery Lynn Designs.
I have had so much fun seeing all the creations with the Imaginisisce papers and products.
I have created a set of altered notebooks.
They are made from basic composition books that you can get from your local office supply store. The ones that look like this:

But with a little imagination, Imaginisce products and Cheery Lynn Designs Dies, you can create some adorable purse notebooks.

The dies I have used on these are, Flip Flops, Fanciful Flourish, Buttons 1, Zig Zag Ric RacStacker Flower 3 and Fish.

I love making these.  I think that the more bright and colorful the papers are, the better the "purse" turns out.

I also used Imaginisce's i-rock tool to adhere some colorful hot rocks to both purses.

The large SUN KISSED DIE CUTS are so cute and the girl on the purse I think is the perfect touch!

Here is what the back of the purse looks like.

Here is the inside.

Here is the little "mini" purse.

Mini back.

Isn't it the cutest thing?

Here is the inside of the mini.

One last look.

I hope you have enjoyed my projects today.
I have enjoyed working with Imaginisce this week.  I am a huge fan and this has been quite and honor.

Acetate fronted Card

3:30 AM 9 Comments
Hello again Cheery Lynn fans and how are you all today? Tamara here with your Sunday inspiration and today I have created an "Acetate fronted card".
Cheery Lynn Dies I used were:

The Square Classic silver dies are clear in the middle so it makes it so much easier to see where to position your cut which has enabled me to create the window.  I added the acetate to the back, Dimensional buttons are down the side and in the corner.  I have used the little stackers to create the spotlight stamp.

Here is a close up of the Little Circle Classic and Scalloped Circle and the Dimensional Buttons #3.  Take a look in the Cheery Lynn store for more options on the little stackers and LG nesting stackers and many more shaped dies.
Over on the Challenge blog you still have time to enter into our challenge "Celebrations" Check out the blog for more details..

Other items used
Lilly of the Valley Stamps, Bo Bunny paper, Copics and card stock

Cheery Lynn Dies I have used are

The base has been cut using the biggest Heart Reflection Die which is 71/2 X 71/2 once cut. I then used one of the smaller dies in the kit to create a sort of frame around my image. The flowers I have distressed used DI's.  For the centres I have used the dimensional buttons which I have threaded with string. The Flowers are sitting both of the flourishes that have been cut from two different colours.

Other items

mini bird cage - Kianel

3:18 AM 9 Comments
Hello dear Cheery Lynn designs lovers,
Kianel here with you today for an "out of the box" project with dies and paper only.
I wanted to share another bird cage i made with my beloved dies. Those are really easy to do and you can see the tutorial i made there in case you are interested.
To build that bird cage you only need cardboard and Cheery Lynn dies XL scalloped oval stackers, XL oval stackers and XL scalloped circle stackers.
And Voilà:

The whole structure is made from a cereal box and covered with Creative Inspirations paint. The little ivory dots are made using a pearl pen by Viva decor.
Here is the cage view from the side:

The background is covered with a paper from Graphic 45. On the top part, you can see one of the dies from the Lace Corner Deco D set which is painted with Creative Inspirations paint.
I placed 2 Bird on a branch 2 dies inside the cage and coloured the birds with distress.
I added a tropical flourish that i inked and decorated with pearls in the back of the cage.

I also made flowers using the cute darling daisies die several times and completing with the olive branches die that i cut in several small pieces to decorate my flowers that are slightly inked with distress.

Well, that was it for the bird cage but i also would like to show you the inside of the card i made last week because it totally disappeared from my post and i absolutely do not know what i did, lol!
So here is what i showed you last week (click on the pictures):

And here is the inside of the card where i used the cardmaker's stackers and the japanese lace and flourish frame to frame my stamped image:

I used the lace edger twice with a ribbon in the middle and added a few pearls to decorate.

The flower is made using the Judy's blooms die. I slightly inked the dies with distress and added tulle to the leaves and flowers. The foliage are coming from the japanese lace & flourish frame die. The center is made using a die from the dimensional buttons 2 set. I also added two Lace deco corner A dies on the right side of the card. The sentiment stamp is a Great Impressions.

So that's it for now and i hope and have enjoyed it as much as i did making it!
Don't forget our challenge every monday and take a look at what the challenge DT made, it's amazing! And be prepared for the coming new dies which will be released on may 15th because they are terrific!!! Love from France, Kianel.

Criss Cross Bliss

4:35 AM 9 Comments
I came across an awesome tutorial for this Criss Cross card.
You can find the link HERE.
I do have to warn you, I don't think the directions are very accurate.
After a few revisions, I came up with this lovely card to share today.

This card is one of those things that after I am done, I could kick myself for not writing down the dies I used as I was going along.

I will try my best to let you know all of the dies I used.  On the card base I used:

For the band around the card I used FRANCESCA BORDER, TIFFANY BORDER AND BORDER CARNIVALE.

The sentiment focal point attached to the band, I used the following dies:

Here is the card with the band removed, you can see the Criss Cross Base in back/

All the paper is the brand new line from Authentique Paper called:
CAREFREE

I love the way this turned out and I think it would make a perfect Mother's Day card.

I hope you have enjoyed my project today.
