Whimsical Ladybug Tag

4:30 AM 1 Comments
Hello again!  Cherry here with you today with a cute little tag for you featuring some lovely dies from Cheery Lynn Designs.
I used the cute Whimsical Ladybug die.
I cut it out twice to give it a shadow effect and layered it on the  Pierced Stacker 3 dies.
I added some buttons and the Olive Branch 2 piece die set.
From here I just added some ribbons and added Tags for some interest at the bottom. I think this would look cute added to a flower for Mother's Day to carry on the garden theme.  Ladybugs are good for the garden!  Thanks for visiting, Cherry

Fuchsia With Love by Debbie Brownmiller

3:30 AM 1 Comments
Glad to see you here. It is Debbie with you from Debbie's Time Out. Today I am playing with the rose dies but creating fuchsia flowers with them.

It is hard to see in the photo but I embossed the base with the  Hearts and Rose Leaves Embossing Plate  . I then layer the Large Sunflower Doily  in the center of the card.

Next I cut two of the Happy Halloween Twiggy Wreath   and off set them . I added the Ivy Corner Flourish Die   behind and in front of the wreath. I then tucked in the Whistle a Happy Tune and added the Tags 4 to the corner. I colored the birds and inked up a lot of the other elements.

Now for the beautiful fuchsia. I used two of the Tea Rose medium  petals and cupped them with my stylus. I then off set and layered them together. I used the Tea Rose small for some to make smaller ones.  I used the sepal part of the Large Rose  die and curled it upwards for the top of the fuchsia . The sepals of the medium- Rose  were  used for the smaller fuchsia. A small piece of the medium- Lollipop Fringe Cutie  was used for the stamens of the fuchsia.

I always like when you can get several different uses and looks out of one die. So I was impressed when I could create fuchsia from the rose dies. How cool is that! We just really need to play with our dies and imaginations.

Thank you so much for visiting the blog today and for all the comments you have left on my other projects. I always like to hear what you have to say. Have a crafty day my friends.

Now is the Right Time Card with Corina Finley

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hello!

Hope you are having a great week and have had some time to be creative! I wanted to share with you a card that I created using a stamp set that I purchased awhile ago but did not get a chance to play with!
I stamped my image on watercolour paper with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink and embossed with Super Fine Black embossing powder. Heat set and used Ink sprays to colour the panel and one matte. I cut two mattes from black cardstock using the Rectangle Stitch and Cut die. I layered the four together and used one die from the Deutschland Border Set to add detail.

For my floral arrangement, I used two floral dies from the CRAFTY-ANN Collection.
Flower and Chrysanthemum were both inked with vintage photo distress ink, added a flower center to each and dipped the tips of the centers in black glitter. I also cut the medium Tea Rose flower, foliage and flourish accents from white cardstock and inked.

I wanted to add focal interest to the top left corner, so I decided to add a couple of tags, flourish accents and a small flower for more detail and layers. Used copper mini brads to attach my sentiment and added some small black rhinestones.

Happy Valentine's Day from Debbie Brownmiller

3:30 AM 4 Comments
Hello.  It's Debbie here with you today from Debbie's Time Out. I want to wish you all a Happy Valentine's Day and share with you my valentine card that I created.
I started with the green base cut with the Square Stitch and Cut Tool   and then layered a striped paper and then another green paper. I then popped up the Quadrafoil Square Doily  on top of the three squares. All were inked around the edges with distress inks. I then cut the Hearts and Doves Placecard #2 and used just the front of it. This placemat makes a cool tag to build on.   I backed it with red paper to show all the details and popped it up on the quadrafoil doily.
Now the fun begins by creating a beautiful flower arrangement. I made the flowers using the Sweet Williams Strip  and the Sweet Christine . For the filler I used the Branch and the Dandelions . The tag was created using three sizes of the Tags 4  and layering them together. That's it for this week. I hope you will join me again next Friday when I will share another project with you.

You may have noticed  a change in our blog challenge. They will now run Bi-Weekly and you can enter one card each week. It doubles your chances of winning. Cheers Card by Corina Finley

3:30 AM 3 Comments

Hello & Welcome!

Corina here with you hosting the blog for today's Card Inspiration!

Fall is in the air & Christmas is right around the corner! Also right around the corner is the Cheery Lynn October New Release. Mark your calendar and make sure to check back for this New Release will be on October 15th with card designs from the whole Design Team.

For todays card, I was given the folded Christmas Pattern card base from a friend to create with.  I cut the Joy to the World Wreath die three times, twice from brown cardstock and once in green. I layered them on to a Kraft cardstock circle and added three Poinsettia (create from the strip die) and greenery using the Pine Branches & Holly Leaves

I cut a Horizon Fishtail Banner for my wooden Cheers sentiment and added the wooden '25' to the lower corner of my card.

I decorated the inside of the card simply. I stamped on a Tags 4 diecut and added the holly leaves with rhinestones. I also added a matted A2 Rectangular Scalloped Frame.

Hello Card with Corina Finley

12:30 AM 1 Comments

Hello! Happy Friday!

Corina here with you today to host the Cheery Lynn Blog. I have been showcasing Christmas Cards and Well Wishes Cards these past few weeks. Today is an "All Occasion" type card which was inspired by this weeks challenge Things with Wings - here on the Cheery Lynn Blog.

When I saw the pattern paper - I just knew I wanted to use the cute Bee Die. Perfect Combo! I pulled a few more dies from my Die albums (how I store my dies - which I will share in the future!) and started to create!

I layered the Italian Flourish Tiny Doily on top of the Polynesian Sails Mini Doily. I then die cut a small and medium Tea Rose - inked and sprayed each and added the trio leaf that cuts out with each of the Tea Rose strip.

I think that Bee works perfectly! So easy to colour because it comes with the coordinating solid background die. I cut the top detailed layer from black cardstock and cut the back die in white. I coloured the white die cut and adhered the black detailed die cut on top. Added some glitter to make the wings sparkle!

My top right hand corner needed something! I cut the Tag from scraps left over of the pattern paper and cut the smallest of the Horizon Fishtail Banners.  I trimmed the banner to fit and added the flower, leaf and rhinestones.

Here is a closer view of the floral arrangement, Bees and sentiment banner.

Believe Card with Corina Finley

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hello!

Corina here with you today! This weeks card inspiration came from my stamped sentiment. I sometimes need a little reminder once in a while!

As you might have noticed on my previous cards, I love Cheery Lynns banners. I saw the Tags 4 in my Cheery Lynn Die book and thought I would give them a try instead, to create a flag look. I am happy with the results!

I have also used one die from the Royal Scandinavian Border Set to cut into the burgundy paper strip border. I layered the border on top of black cardstock to add depth.

On top of my stamped embossed sentiment, I have added a Page Tab. I love this set for card making, mini albums, journals, and page layouts.

My flower was created using Judy's BloomsDandelions, and the Leafy Flourish die. Inked and finished off with a black rhinestone for the center.

Happy Card with Corina Finley

3:30 AM 2 Comments
Hello!

So glad you can join me, Corina, for today's blog post! I have used three New Release dies on this weeks card - so lets jump in and take a closer look!

The three New Release dies that I used are the Royal Scandinavian Super DoilyPierced Banners and Leafy Flourish.

Above is a close up of the Royal Scandinavian Super Doily die, cut from white cardstock. I backed it with dark blue cardstock and add rhinestones for sparkle! This die is so elegant and can be used in so many ways.

In this next picture, I used the Pierced Banners and the Leafy Flourish dies.

I layered the large and small Pierced Banners die to the card base and added the Tags 4 die with my sentiment to the top right in the picture above.

I then added the Leafy Flourish die on top which was cut from white cardstock. I wanted more layers so, I added two petal layers of the Sweet Christine to the larger flower and two petal layers from the Embellishment #2 to the smaller flower. Added a rhinestone to the flower centers and down the side of the large Pierced Banners.

New Release Dies:

Leafy Flourish (Set of 2) - B571

Pierced Banners (Set of 3) - DL303

Previous Release Dies:

Sweet Christine - B434

Nature Themed Dies with Rhonda

3:30 AM 7 Comments
Greetings and happy Thursday to you! It's Rhonda here today to host the blog for you.

For today's project I mixed a few of our nature themed dies (Happy Halloween Twiggy Wreath, Cattails and Reeds and Quill and Ink Pot) together with our pretty Lilith Edger and Dutch Daisy boutique stacker frames to mix things up a little bit. I think it takes on a soft and romantic feel.

I started with a base white A2 cardstock background, then added the Dutch Daisy Boutique Stacker Frame to it. Next, I cut a Cardmaker's Rectangle Scalloped, then used the Lilith Doily Edger on one side. Next, I cut the Happy Halloween Twiggy Wreath and the Horizon Fishtail Banners.

The medium Horizon Fishtail Banner is a bit long for the card, so I cut a little bit from the middle and adhered behind my pink Scalloped Rectangle and Edger cut layer. I cut the Coved Rectangle and adhered behind the pink Scalloped Rectangle.

I used the Quills and tucked them under the banners, then the Princess Tree was layered as well and tacked down with the flowers arranged on top.  Here you can see the dimension of the Sweet Williams and Darling Daisies. The Tiny Fanciful Flourishes are tucked in under either side of the flowers.

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Hello Hello!!

It is November!! Wow, how time has flown by!

Corina here and here in British Columbia, Canada, we have a lot of rain during Fall. Then the rain turns into snow - I will be starting to create my Christmas Card next week!

My card palette was inspired by the weather. With a little 'bling' shine for the few rays of sun that peek through now and again!

I used the Florence Filigree Doily from the Octobers release to draw your eye into the center. The New Release Doily dies are really versatile and once you try them - you will be hooked!

Romantic Criss Cross with Rhonda

3:30 AM 7 Comments
Happy first day of September to you.  It's Rhonda here today to host the blog.

I have a criss cross style card to share with you today. This style of card is fun to create as you get a decorative envelope and another sweet little card to go inside.

Once I assembled my base piece, I used our Card Maker Rectangle Classic to cut my pieces for the front. I then used the Lilith Edger Doily die on my angle.  You see the Anastasia Border peeking out on the sides and bottom.

The Fiona's Magic Mirror fit perfectly inside to create the base for my card. The other layers were used with Card Maker Rectangle classic and scalloped. The little tags were layered and tucked in to create a little tab to help pull the card out.

I've used a variety of flowers here for interest and texture along with the Rose Leaf Strip and Flourish Leaf Strip.  I hope you liked my creation today, it was really fun to create this card.

If you would like to make one of these cards, I will share the link on my blog.

Color and Bling with Rhonda

3:30 AM 2 Comments
Happy Monday crafty friends! It's Rhonda here today to host the blog for you.

I had a little fun with a brighter color palette this week. I was inspired by our all new challenge this week and included a bit of bling to play along as well.

I love using pattern paper to create flowers, the results are always very interesting and surprising at times designs! Cheery Lynn Design dies make creating pretty flowers so easy. Here I've used the Sunflower, Shasta Daisy and Miniature Rose.

I cut the largest Tags 4 twice, once from pattern paper and a second from vellum. A simple layered stagger of the tags was a perfect place for my sentiment.

A Romantic Valentine with Rhonda

3:30 AM 8 Comments
Happy Monday to you!  It's Rhonda here today to host the blog.

I have a soft romantic card with flourishes in pink, brown and green tones to share with you. This week's challenge is to add a flourish and I thought I would make a Valentine's style card to meet the challenge criteria.

I started with the largest Card Maker Scalloped Rectangle die, then cut a layer in the brown quatrefoil pattern from the Card Maker Rectangle dies.  I thought some pretty border cuts would look nice and soft behind these layers, so I adhered from behind.

Each of these layers is attached with foam squares to give a little dimension and interest.

After adding the Oval Boutique Stacker, I knew I wanted to use the Lattice Heart and Vines on this card. The soft green vining behind it is the Celtic Heart.

I cut two Lattice Heart and Vines, one in a darker pattern that I trimmed the heart border from and and adhered to my first cut to help frame it. I backed the heart with some darker pink patterned paper to emphasize the lattice.

Diamond Stickles were added to the center of my Cuties 2 flower and the lighter colored vines outside of the heart and my Mini Butterfly. A bit of lightweight florist wire and a quilling tool were used to create my butterfly antennae. I used a glassine bag and cut a Tiny Fanciful Flourish and you'll see it spraying out from my butterfly faintly.

Cheery Lynn Designs dies used:
Celtic Heart - B144
Lattice Heart and Vines - B368
Cuties 2 - B150
Tiny Fanciful Flourish Left and Right - B387
Flourish Leaf Strip - B178
Ankara Lace Border - B332
Dancing Doily Lace Border - DL134
Horizon Oval Boutique Stacker Frames - DL252
Card Maker Rectangle Classic - CM-1
Card Maker Rectangle Classic - CM-2
Mini Butterflies with Angel Wings - D138

Merry and Bright with Rhonda

3:30 AM 5 Comments
Happy Monday, it's Rhonda here today to host the blog for you.  How was your weekend?  Did you get much shopping, crafting or baking done?  As you can see by my photo's below it was really snowing here in Minnesota.

I took a bit of time to do some crafting of course.  I've got a card to share today inspired by our challenge this week, "Red and Green".

"Merry and Bright" (A2 sized card)

I started with the Kiwi Spirit Doily and layered it with the Horizon Oval Boutique Stacker that I turned vertically.  Next you'll see the Sophie's Heart Mini peeking out.  On top of it is the smallest Horizon Oval Boutique Stacker in a horizontal position that I attached with foam dots, then topped with the Sentiment Frame 1.

Tags 4 were used to tuck under my sentiment frame for an added fun touch.  I cut the holly leaves apart from my Mega Holly Flourish and tucked them into my border, then added a little bling for the berries.

Cheery Lynn Designs dies used:

I hope you are able to join us for our "Red and Green" challenge this week, remember there's a $20 gift certificate prize to be won!  We always enjoy seeing your beautiful creations with our dies.

Have a super crafty Monday!

For Mom's Everywhere

3:30 AM 7 Comments

Good Morning Cheery Lynn fans, Donna here with a Mother's Day card, even though we celebrate Mother's Day in the Uk in March, I decided to make one for this week's challenge.

I've used an image from LOTV, colored with Copics, and cut out with the oval classic Lg Silver stackers, I then drew the false stitching using the edge of the die to make perfect lines. I then cut out a larger circle using the Oval Classic Large Stackers. The largest square cut out of Kraft cardstock was done using the Mini Pearl Square. All other matting was created using the square classic and scalloped Lg Stackers. Flowers are the new Shasta Daisy Strip, and the Embellishment #1 die. Foliage is the ivy strip and the centre piece from the Victorian Garden Doily Frame., I've also used the Princess Tree at the top of my card. The gauze border across the centre is another one of the new releases.
I made the sentiment spelling out Mom using a alpha stamp set from Whimsy and the Tags 4 set. Papers are from Bearly Mine, pearls from my stash. The card is 8x8.

Thanks for looking and have a great day
