Number One Fan!

3:30 AM 12 Comments
Hello and welcome back.  Celeste here with you for another Wednesday.

Today I want to show you a card I made using the Eazi-Score, that Phyllis from Diamond Card Craft sent to the Design Team members a little while back.
I used the score board and instruction booklet to make this Bouncy Card.

I started off using purple card stock to make the card.  Next I used some patterned paper to put on the bottom of the card and in the square.  I cut out the Folding Fan from the same card stock as the main card and then used a shimmering purple to go over the fan itself.  One flower using the Large Rose and Cuties 2 dies was used at the bottom.  Lace Corner Deco A were used for the corners on the square of the card, while two of the other Lace Corner Deco A were used for the stand of the card.

To add some "greenery", the Olive Branches were popped in behind the flower.  On the stand of the card I used the Small Dragonfly with Angel Wing in one corner and the Darling Daisies in the other.

Don't forget the challenge this week.  Head on over to the Cheery Lynn Designs blog for all the information and good luck!

One of a Kind with Cheery Lynn Designs

3:30 AM 7 Comments
The reason I have called this a One of a Kind card is that if I tried to recreate it exactly like this, I couldn't.
While at CHA this year, with Cheery Lynn Designs, we were across from a company that had all these fantastic ideas that I wanted to try!  So, sorry gals, you are my guinea pigs, so to speak.
I am trying my ideas out here!
I created this card from the die called Folding Fan.

Behind the fan I have pleated the paper that the fan sits on.  I was able to do this very easily using the
Easi Score from Diamond Card Craft.  It comes with an idea book and pleating the paper was one of the ideas in the book.
I have tried to take a picture in full sun to show off the pleats.

I am using Authentique Paper's Splendid line.  I thought it was perfect for the overall feeling I was trying to create.

I used each fan piece as it's own canvas and drew a different design on each panel.

On the inside I used lots of fun things, starting with the Embossing Plate I used on the blue paper called Black Eyed Susans. I love using paper with white core, it just looks so lovely when it is sanded.

I also used the Lace Edger and the Zig Zag Ric Rac dies. The small fan on the inside I made with a small Scalloped Circle.

I love the layers and dimension on this, I hope you have enjoyed this too.

I wanted to make sure you knew about our current challenge.
Our theme right now is Red & White.
You can read all the details HERE.
Every week there is a new winner and that winner gets a $20.00 gift cert. to Cheery Lynn Designs, so be sure to join in!

Bonfire Night Layout

3:30 AM 6 Comments
12” X 12”

Hi Everyone,
My project this week is a layout featuring one of my very favourite photographs of my daughter, Tayla.  What a nice way of creating a wonderful keep-sake using the intricately detailed dies of Cheery Lynn Designs!  The papers used are by Kaisercraft, in the series called “Chapter One”.

I used the Anastasia Border, Lace LightDeco Border, and Border Carnival to add length to the photograph mount – layering them one on top of the other, using different hues to contrast, and show off the detailed design work, within each die.

The Italian Flourish was used to embellish beneath the floral arrangement. The Olive Branches, along with the HollyFlourish, were used as fillers. I removed the obvious holly leaves from the die-cut, and cut the stem in several places, rearranging the die-cut to fit around the photograph.  My flowers consist of the pretty Judy’s Blooms, Miniature Rose, and Cuties 1

The Folding Fan was fun to create, I can see this on a beautiful oriental card – would look magical!  My fan has two die-cuts; one has been cut into strips along the fold lines and adhered with lace to the back of the main fan, adding some dimension.
A scatter of the ExoticButterfly Mini’s and matching Angel Wings to complete...

The challenge this week is “Beautiful Borders” - all the details can be found by clicking “here”. I'm looking forwards to seeing your entries!
Have a fantastic week...

Thanksgiving Place Settings

3:51 AM 7 Comments
I have such a fun idea to share with you!
The holidays are upon us.  I have an adorable idea for you to try for your Thanksgiving table this year.

How about mini cornucopias and easel place cards?

I had so much fun looking at my dies and figuring out what I could make for this cornucopia.

I think I am the queen of "thinking outside of the box."

I will tell you my secret ingredients(dies) for each thing you are seeing here.

To start with, I used the Folding Fan.

The pumpkins are made from Wittle Wickers and Dimensional Small Leaves #2.

The tomato is made from Stacker Flower 3 and Leaf.

The corn is made from the Tulip in the Tulip Frame die.

The vine the grapes are attached to is from Bird on a Branch.   The sunflower is from the Sunflower die.

I made the place cards from the Little Stackers French Flair dies.

The tiny rolled flower is the handle from the Folding Fan die.

All my papers are from Authentique Paper's new line called Gathering.

SO what do you think?  Can you imagine how cute it would be to have these decorations at your table for Thanksgiving?
This was such a joy to make.  My kids just went nuts when the saw the tiny ears of corn.  They loved it all.
I hope you have enjoyed my project today.

Happy Friday oh and Happy Birthday to me!!

Your Biggest Fan

3:30 AM 4 Comments
Good Monday Morning blog readers!! It's Tanisha here with a colorful card that I created using Cheery Lynn Design dies and one of the new CHA releases from Bella Blvd.

I combined the Folding Fan, for a play on words, with the Scalloped Diamonds border and a Stitcher Plate, for texture on this card.

I really wanted the fan to stand out, so I cut it from cardstock and black paper and then layered them together. I love a little bling (what girl doesn't), so I decorated the scalloped border with gems and then added stitching around the perimeter of the card.

You can see the texture created with the stitcher plate here.
