Wishing you a Happy Christmas by Julie Lavalette

Happy Christmas to all our Cheery Lynn fans, it's JULIE here today and I am sharing a Vintage styled Festive card using one of the beautiful Cardmaker Dies. I do love the intricate lace look to these dies and how they make a quick and very effective background to a card.

Once I cut mine out I tattered the edges for a shabby feel and pressed the edges into my embossing ink pad and heat embossed some Red Tinsel powder. Layering onto my other cardstock layers and adding some Glass Glitter to the edges for sparkle.

My Snowflake Doily was also heat embossed with Red Tinsel and cut in half and layered behind my Sentiment tag which had also been tattered at the edges, mounting on Noel.

My Poinsettia was cut in cream cardstock inking at the edges, adding micro beads to the centre finishing with a little Liquid Snow and Glass Glitter, mounting onto my glittered Holly Leaves.

New Year Bells by Julie Lavalette

Hi Cheery Lynn fans, it's JULIE here hosting the blog and today I am showcasing some more dies from our fabulous new release on my Festive card. In Scotland as the time changes from one Year to the next at midnight we associate this with hearing bells and fondly name it "The Bells". So I decided to combine the Happy New Year with The Christmas Bells onto my card.

My Happy New Year was layered twice for a shadow effect adding on my party hats which had been embossed with Red Tinsel Embossing Powder. Finishing with some snow accents using a Snow Writer pen and Glamour Dust for added sparkle.

I sprinkled a scattering of Frantage on my Holly Leaves, shaded my Berries with Distress inks adding Glossy Accents for a realistic look. My bells were shaded in two colours of Gold Pens adding a little Archival ink to give them an aged feel. I layered up with foam tape for some extra dimension. I also think the bells would look amazing on a Wedding card.

Someone Special at Christmas by Julie Lavalette

Hi Everyone, It's Julie here today hosting the blog. This week our challenge is Christmas and I couldn't resist playing along, as I love making Festive cards and getting the Glitter out.

I started by cutting out my paper with the image of Santa on it, mounting onto green card and I then dropped a little Stickles into the centre of all the tiny holes around the frame of my Horizon Stacker die.

My sentiment was stamped adding some Stickles and Distress ink for a Vintage look, layering onto my die cuts with a little Silicone Glue.

My foliage was cut and curled slightly with my embossing tool and mat. I then added some red gems to look like berries for added detail.

My Poinsettias were made be shading white card stock with Distress Stains and a gold Mica spray. Once the card stock was dry I die-cut out my flowers, shaped on my embossing mat and added some glittered stamens to the centre.

Winter Wonderland Card by Corina Finley

Happy New Years! Wow it is 2015!

Corina here, hosting the blog today! As I sit here and look outside, winter is absolutely here, the snow is gently falling. So to share a part of my beautiful surroundings, I created this Winter Wonderland Card.

I created this card using three snowflake die sets. My favourite multi purpose snowflake die that I think everyone absolutely needs to be in their collection is Snowflakes - C146

As you can see, this die comes with various shapes and sizes of snowflakes so you always have the right style for your project. Love it!

The Snowflake Doily is a beautiful larger detailed snowflake die, measuring 3 1/4 in diameter. It always captures your attention with its elegance. I added foam adhesive to create depth, added one Snowflake from the Snowflower Set #1 and a rhinestone to the center.

Seasons Greeting Card by Corina Finley

Hello, Corina here with you today!

As promised, my card was inspired by the stencil from last weeks card post. As you can see from the top of the picture below.

I thought the stencil with the leftover texture paste on it was too interesting to throw away. The affect looked 'Frosty' and got my creativity rolling!

Here is an up close look at the stencil. Adorned with a few clear rhinestones to highlight each snowflake.

I also used the Snowflake Doily with angel wing. I love layering the Snowflake Doily with one of the Snowflowers as a center. It think it gives the card depth and interest.
