Wishing you a Happy Christmas by Julie Lavalette

Happy Christmas to all our Cheery Lynn fans, it's JULIE here today and I am sharing a Vintage styled Festive card using one of the beautiful Cardmaker Dies. I do love the intricate lace look to these dies and how they make a quick and very effective background to a card.

Once I cut mine out I tattered the edges for a shabby feel and pressed the edges into my embossing ink pad and heat embossed some Red Tinsel powder. Layering onto my other cardstock layers and adding some Glass Glitter to the edges for sparkle.

My Snowflake Doily was also heat embossed with Red Tinsel and cut in half and layered behind my Sentiment tag which had also been tattered at the edges, mounting on Noel.

My Poinsettia was cut in cream cardstock inking at the edges, adding micro beads to the centre finishing with a little Liquid Snow and Glass Glitter, mounting onto my glittered Holly Leaves.

Noel Card with Corina Finley

Hello! Corina here with you today, to share my Noel card. I have seen this style of card before with assorted word die cuts. When I saw the decorative Noel die, I knew I had to give this "Floating Word" card design a try!

I made the base of the card from Kraft card stock. I then matted with a layer of dark brown card stock and snowflake decorative paper. I cut the Noel die out of Kraft and measured the die cut vertically (from the top of the N to the bottom of the O). That measurement is the complete section that you will remove from the front of the card (see above picture for visual).

As you can see from the above picture: I cut three strips of medium weight acetate to give the die cut strength but also to attach the three sections together. The acetate runs diagonally behind the N and vertically behind the E and L. The acetate is sandwiched between the Kraft and dark brown card stock.

I created my Poinsettia using the Poinsettia Strip die. I inked and embossed the petals with the Burlap Embossing Plate. I then inked the top of each petal with brown ink to highlight the embossed impression.

Noel Card with Corina Finley

Hello Fellow Cherry Lynn Design Fans!

Corina here with you today, to share my Clean & Simple Christmas card using three of the New Releases Die Designs.

I know I said 'Clean & Simple' - meaning clean lines and less is more approach! The die cuts play the lead role. The card has a lot of layering and I embossed the Ornate Ornament, Noel and Dancing Snow Flurries dies all with a clear iridescent embossing powder to make them glitter.

I found it difficult not to embellish my card further - I love creating Cheery Lynn flowers and find my projects are not complete without at least one!
