Valentine Heart Gift Bag by Amy Voorthuis

3:30 AM 3 Comments
Good morning lovelies.
Today I would like to show you a gift bag I made for Valentine's Day {I know I am a little late but never too late for love right?} For this bag I used a retired die DL111 - Heartland America XL as the base of my bag! So the size of the bag is about 15.5cm by 15.5cm without the handle.
This was such a fun and easy project to make....and you can surprise your love with some candy inside. I used some left overs from the "Vintage Autumn Basics"collection by Maja Design.
I always hoard my leftover pieces so I can give them to my neighbor but this time I used them myself.

 Valentine Heart Gift Bag:

First I cut out the outer die from the heartland die out of the flower sheet and on top of that I placed the rest of that die cut out of green paper.
Then I cut out a piece of 30cm by 8cm which I scored on 15cm, on 2cm and on 6cm. Then I made little cuts all the way of the 30cm piece on both sides.
Now I am ready for the decoration.....using the pretty C184 - Judy's Blooms as my flower piece.

Love You by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 2 Comments

Hi there Cheery Lynn friends, it's JULIE here today and I'm sharing with you a card using our fabulous new word die - Love You. I gave my card a Masculine touch, hopefully to inspire you, as I know we all struggle when it comes to thinking what design to make for a male, but changing the colours and adding a flower would equally give this design a feminine look.

I used several of my Stacker dies to build my layers and with it coming close to the Festive season I just had to add some Platinum Stickles for an accent of bling.

My Ink bottle was coloured with a Copic Pen and I wrote the work Ink on it. My Feather I inked the edges and ruffled the sides for a realistic look.

I fussy cut a heart shape to place behind my heart doily and gave my word - Hugs a shadow effect.

Thanks for stopping by today and good luck to everyone entering our Weekly Challenge.

CELEBRATE WITH ANITA KEJRIWAL

3:30 AM 6 Comments

Dear friends !!!
A big hello to all !!! This week has been really very hectic. Crafting was the only stress free time that I had and I loved creating this card for the Cheery Lynn. This is one of my favourite cards as it has a very lacy look the use of the heart doily as a holder for that oval tags is really very creative. I have used lots of love quotes here so this card can be used for anniversary , or valentines day. Also lots of distressing on die cuts have been done to give it a shabby look.

The List
stamps are from fiskars.

Do stop by the blog and take part in the current challenge..CELEBRATE. We love your entries. Thanks for stopping by. See you next week.

Simplistic Elegance with Rhonda

3:30 AM 1 Comments
Happy Monday crafty friends! Rhonda here today to host the blog for you.

Today I have a shaped card to share with you featuring one of my favorite stacker dies, the Coved Rectangles shape. I layered them to create a frame with a pretty scalloped edge for contrast.

The focal point for my card is the lovely Exotic Butterfly Large #1 which is attached with dimensional foam squares. Beneath it is the Heartland America Large heart shaped doily die with the relief pieces removed. This framed in my sentiment.

Some details...

I typically like to use a strong variety of dies on my projects, but today I wanted to share a more simple design that is still very elegant, yet easy to put together.

Cheery Lynn Designs dies used:
Coved Rectangle Classic- XL-10
Scalloped Coved Rectangle - XL-11

Valentine's Inspiration with Rhonda

3:30 AM 5 Comments
Happy Monday to you!  It's Rhonda here today to host the blog for you.

Have you seen our latest challenge?  The theme is "Sweethearts" which I took inspiration from.  Since it's been so very cold here, the next fun thing we get to look ahead to is Valentine's Day, which is so fun to think about and create cards for.

"XOXOXO" (A2 Card)

I've used the Fancy Corner Cuts #4 on the bottom white layer here.
The white layer is elevated with foam squares.

I used the Lattice Hearts and Vines die and layered the flourishes under my black Horizon Coved Rectangle Boutique Stacker.  A few Tiny Flowers were added into the vines for a soft touch. The hearts here are from the Heartland America XL die.

I cut apart the XOXOXO sentiments in both sizes for the accents here as well.  I love to take pieces of the dies and create something a little unexpected.

Cheery Lynn Designs dies used:
Lattice Heart and Vines - B368
Horizon Coved Rectangle Boutique Stacker Frames - DL251
Tiny Flower Kit (Set of Three) - B376
Fancy Corner Cuts #4 - B431
Heartland America XL - DL111
Index Card - A107

We hope you can join us this week for our "Sweethearts" challenge on the blog. The lucky winner will get $20 to spend in the online Cheery Lynn Designs store!

Have a fantastic Monday!
