Joy to the World by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi Cheery Lynn Fans it's JULIE here today. Gosh I can't believe how fast we are now approaching the end of the year and it will soon be Thanksgiving Day for all our American friends. So today my card is inspired by this celebration.

I started by distressing my 2 layers of Maja Design papers at the edges and layered onto my card. I cut out my wreath in 3 shades of paper from the same pad, cutting 2 of my wreaths so they would stretch out a little larger than the base one. The cut was hidden by my drop shadowed reindeer.

My large sunflower was coloured with Copic Pens and Micro Beads added into the centre. The smaller sunflowers I added Flowersoft into the centres and also touches onto the wreath. My berries were coloured with Copic and 2 layers of Glossy accents added letting them dry between coats. Finishing with arranging my bouquet onto my card.

Good morning Cheery Lynn Fans.
Today I am back to share another card with you.  This time it's a very busy and rustic card. The card was made with leftover papers from the pretty NEW "Rusty Autumn" collection by 49 and Market. This collection is just perfect for these type of cards I hope you think so too.

Rusty Autumn Welcome:

This was such a fun card to make I love adding and adding to my work that sometimes it gets very busy but then I still like it. I also love CAS cards but I'm not so good at making those.  Lisa does that much better then me. lol

Joy To The World by Debbie Brownmiller

3:30 AM 1 Comments

A warm Hello to you. It's Debbie back with you from Debbie's Time Out. Today I would like to share with you a way of using the Aspen Forest  frame as a embossing folder.
For the base of the card I used the Aspen Forest  on foil paper. To emboss it instead of cutting it I placed a rubber embossing mat on top of the paper and it embosses instead of cutting. I then just added metal embossing powders  in copper, silver and gold and heat set them. I then added a bit of black ink to tone it down. What a beautifully embossed background this die made.
Here I layered the deer from the Fancy Reindeer set. The Joy To The World sentiment is one of the dies from the Joy to the World Wreath set. A piece of ribbon was layered along the bottom. This was a quick and simple  card for anyone wanting quick cards to give to that special person. I hope I have encouraged you to play with some of your dies to emboss with as well as cut with.

Thank You for visiting the blog today and for the comments you leave. They are always appreciated.

Veterans Day with Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 2 Comments

Hi, welcome back to another clean and simple card with Cheery Lynn Designs
Since today is Veterans Day, I wanted to send out a "Thank You" to all our soldiers who have fought for our freedom.

I used 3 die cuts to make this card....so you can make several and personalize the centers. I added pop dots behind the blue square and star. Then stamp any sentiment you like in black ink. Ta Da!

Thank you for stopping by today and be sure to give thanks to a Veteran.
Have a great day!
Hugs Lisa

Christmas Tags with Maggi

3:30 AM 0 Comments

We all need quick this time of year and I've got just the project for you!  Bonus, it's a project you can have fun making with the kids too.  Just die cut a variety of shapes with Cheery Lynn Designs dies, assemble into cute little tags and you've got quick, but oh so cute gift tags that will give your gifts, that extra special something.

On this tag I used two ovals from the Oval Scalloped LG Stackers Nesting Dies 6 Piece Die Set and topped that with a Christmas tree diecut with the Christmas Tree Shaker Die.  The "to & from" words were die cut with the To And From Gift Envelope set.  Then I punched a hole at the top, added an eyelet and ribbon and it's ready to go.  Gift tags need to be quick and easy and this sure fits the bill.

Here's another tag that is built on a white scalloped oval diecut with the Oval Scalloped LG Stackers Nesting Dies.   Then I layered on a red  Royal Scandinavian Oval Doily, next a blue layer cut with Nesting Doll- Oval #2 5 Piece Die Set and finally topped with Patches The Snowman .

Now this moose is one of my favorites!  He's from the Merry Christmoose set.  He's layered over patterned paper die cut with the French Flair Pierce And Cut Tool  and the red cardstock base is die cut with the Horizon French Flair Boutique Stacker Frames.

Here's a view of the back of each tag.  The fun thing about tags is that you can use your scraps.   All my scraps are from Graphic 45's Winter Wonderland collection and I was so happy to have a used for all those little pieces of my cherished Graphic 45 papers!
