Forever Friends by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 3 Comments

Hi Cheery Lynn friends, it's JULIE here today. This week I thought I would showcase the versatility of our Stacker dies and how by turning them round and cutting in to the die cut shapes with another stacker you are able to achieve lots of different shapes.

You will see on these photos how I cut out my shapes and inserted in to each other for my base layer.

This photo shows my next layers and how I turned the same stacker as on the first layer around 90 degrees to give a different look.

My Butterfly was heat embossed and a pearl added.

My roses were cut out in White Cardstock and shaded with 2 colours of Distress Ink.

My words were double layered for a shadow effect and the "S" was taken from my word set Happy Christmas. Finally adding some pearls, Stickles and a Leaf Flourish to finish.

Kisses by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 6 Comments

Hi Everyone, It's Julie here today and I have made a card using the beautiful Hummingbird die. Let me show you my layers on this card as I build it up.

In this photo you will see I have paper pieced in pale pink corners.

The corners were made using the Horizon Rectangle die that is in the centre of this photo.

My doily was cut in half and pieced behind my Sentiment Tag. This gave me an oval shape to it.

My Hummingbird was shaded with Distress ink and layered up twice for added dimension.

Finishing off my card with some Cheery Lynn flowers and the word Kisses.

Hi Everyone, Julie here today hosting the blog. This week I thought I would share a vintage style card with you.

I thought I would show you previous layers on my card as it makes it easier to see. The first 2 layers glued onto my card were torn at the edges and some distress added to the edges and I placed my tiny doily onto both sides. My next layer, I die cut out the Horizon Square Frame, distressed the edges and added some creases onto the paper and placed my die cut heart.

My image I glued lace around and added to my Magic Mirror die which I had distressed the edges on and added some gilding wax too.

Layers of different leaves and flourishes were added which I cut out in different coordinating papers. My roses were die cut from white cardstock. I shaded the paper with my Copics before building my roses. Finally adding a few pearls on my card to finish.

Happy New Year card by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 4 Comments

Hello Everyone and a warm welcome to our new followers, it's Julie here hosting the blog today. This week I have gone a bit Christmassy again with my card but this time incorporating the New Year onto it.

My wine glasses, bottle and New Year are from our latest release. I mounted the glasses and bottle onto different coloured card, fussy cut around and added some bling. I sanded the paper slightly on my wine glasses and bottle for a shabby feel.

My Happy New Year was layered twice with different colours of card to add dimension.

My Poinsettias I layered up and sprayed with a little gold mica spray for added sparkle. The flourishes I kept some complete and others I cut in half and added into areas of my card to accent.

I will see you all next Saturday.
