With Love Card by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 3 Comments

Hi Everyone, It's Julie here and today I am showcasing the new Lords and Commons Super Doily which compliments the other dies in the Lords and Commons range.

Let me show you my layers. I cut out my Stacker Frame and and then placed my Super Doily into this frame aligning up and holding it in place with low tack tape. I then shaded the edges with Milled Lavender and mounted onto Lilac Cardstock.

Next I replaced my doilies back into the centre of my card.

I cut out another Super Doily and added a square of lilac paper behind it. You will see I mounted this at a different angle and layered on my Shasta Daisy which had been shaded with ink and a little Flower Soft added to the centre.

To finish off my card I added the sentiment With Love, a few pearls and the little heart shapes from the waste of my Stacker Frame to the corners.

Bundle of Joy by Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Hi, Its Lisa back again this week with a super fast card to make for a baby or you can even make it a birthday card using 2 sheets of plain cardstock and 3 wonderful Cheery Lynn Diecuts. I chose to layer them on top of each other using 3 of the 4 largest Lords & Commons Boutique with pop dots in between each layer. Inspiration for this card came from this week's Lots of Layers Challenge and from my nephew having his first baby boy! So excited for his new family!

The card is a 5x6 in white cardstock, I then layered it with 4.75 x 5.75 light blue and distressed the edges. A light blue ribbon was attached to the center and then the largest Lords & Commons Boutique diecut on top. The following layers were diecut out the same and used with the Rectangle Frames for the perfect cut. On top I added the Celtic heart cut out once in blue and once in white then placed them together and stamped on the white center. Little blue pearls and a ribbon bow finished this card.

Here you can see the layers with the pop dots....Your friends will think you spent hours on this card when it only takes a few minutes! Gotta love that!

Give Thanks and Farewell with Rhonda

3:30 AM 5 Comments
Thursday greetings to you! It's Rhonda here to host the blog today for one last time.

I selected the theme of "Give Thanks" for my card as I am extremely thankful for the opportunity to be a part of this amazing Design Team for over two terms. These dies are so very pretty, I just love using them!

"Give Thanks" (A2 Card)

I used a white card base and layered the Lord and Commons on first. Next I stitched it down in the inside border.  After that I cut a Horizon Coved Rectangle Boutique Stacker in medium and layered the Mirror Mirror Doily Frame on top.

I cut an Oval Classic Stacker from vellum and layered it on top of the Mirror Mirror Doily Frame, then a cut using Chicken Wire and layered between the Oval center layer on top.

I added the Princess Tree, then the Cherry Blossom, Sweet Christine and Darling Daisy florals next, mixed in with the Sentiment Frame #2. The Ivy Strip and Flourish Leaves were added behind the florals. A few gems helped finish the card.

Wedding/Celebration Stationery by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 6 Comments

Hi Everyone, It's Julie here today. With the Wedding Season fast approaching I thought it would be nice to share some Invitations with you today, that could easily be adapted for any other celebration/occasion.

Here is a close up photograph of my Wedding Invitation. In the aligning up of the dies Sandy shows how to do this in a Tutorial HERE, so I won't go into details.

My words were stamped using Archival Ink and a little Stickles was added for sparkle, along with some gems. I attached my ribbon using extra strong tape tucking in the edges before matting onto my card.

My Evening Invitation compliments the Wedding one. I stamped directly onto my card with Archival Ink adding on my mats and layers, Stickles and a few gems. I kept this card simple, so several could be made should you have a lot of invitations to make.

My Place Settings were made be cutting out the scalloped rectangle, scoring down the middle and adding my die cut layer. Bride and Groom were handwritten on. You could also computer generate your names and cut out before layering on.

Steampunk Valentine by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 3 Comments

Hi Everyone, It's Julie here today. With our challenge this week  Sweethearts 'Add a Heart' and Valentines Day fast approaching I thought I would make a Valentine card with a twist of Steampunk.

You will see on this photograph how I cut my first layer in red card adding the Gear dies, layering some to the front and some behind. I cut a lot in half as I new this was the area that was only going to be seen on my card.

                                                         B523 Deutchland Border Set

DL292 Lords and Commons A2 Stacker Frame

The next layer showcases two of our new dies which you can position anywhere on your card, the choice is yours.

I added my steampunk corners to the sides, layering on more Gears and adding a little Stencilling with inks onto my paper. See how the die cuts really pop mounted onto the red card.

My Stampotique figures were stamped, fussy cut and coloured with Copics.

My Hearts and Arrows were cut out in Red, Black and White Cardstock, you will see how I paper pieced the layers back together which adds dimension and a shadow effect.

My sentiment was a sticker in my stash.
