With Love by Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 3 Comments
Good morning everyone! Today I'm sharing a card with you that was inspired by a wedding that I recently attended in Mexico. It was a really beautiful wedding.  So I thought I would make a card for a wedding for Cheery Lynn Designs this week.
I used the second largest of the "french flair scalloped stackers" for my base of the card. Then I layered the center with 2 more smaller scalloped stackers. Next I layered two "mirrors" on top of each other with the sentiment stamped in black ink. On the bottom corner, I layered a "sweet william" flower using a double sided cardstock. Lastly, I added a bit of bling.

Thoughts of You with Karen Maldonado

3:30 AM 2 Comments
Hello Cheery Lynn friends!  It's Karen here sharing a "Thoughts of You" card
in tones of teal blue, green, and yellow!

I've layered the card first by cutting the French Flair Classic Scalloped die in
white cardstock.  Then, I followed by using the French Flair Classic dies
in teal blue and green print papers.

I wanted that lovely Kiwi Spirt Doily to accent the layered sentiment, so
I cut it out using thick white cardstock.  By using this thicker cardstock,
it super-defines the intricate details
of this beautiful doily even more, and adds great depth!!

Then, I stamped the sentiment onto the Oval Classic SM Silver Stacker
using white cardstock, and layered it onto the Sentiment Tag #1 in green.
Lastly, layered that piece onto the teal blue Sentiment Tag #2,
and added two shiny pearls!

I ink distressed the flowers and leaves, making four full Tea Rose medium,
and two closed Tea Rose Medium flowers and placed them on the
top and bottom corners of the card.

List of dies used on my project:

B436 Tea Rose Medium

Be sure to check out this week's "Pretty in Purple" challenge
for a chance at a $20 gift certificate to the Cheery Lynn Designs store!

Have a wonderful day, and thanks for visiting!

Hugs & Smiles,
Karen

Easter Chicks Tutorial by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 4 Comments

Hi Everyone, it's Julie here today and I thought it would be nice to share an Easter card with Spring colours and these three gorgeous little Chicks from our recent CHA release.

Here are the steps on how to make it, this first photo shows the reverse side.

Using the French Flair Scalloped die cut the largest die in Orange and Green cardstock. Cut the Orange layer in half, down the middle and attach with adhesive onto the back of your Green layer for a shadow effect around the edges.

Repeat this process using the second largest French Flair Scalloped die and Yellow and Striped Pattern Paper.

Die cut Happy Easter in Orange, Yellow and Green cardstock offsetting and adhering each layer together.

Die cut your Easter Chicks in Orange and Yellow cardstock again slightly offsetting. Lift the Yellow layer of wing slightly up. On the reverse of your Chick lightly press the point of a Black Pen into the centre of the eye. This now defines the eye area.

Die cut your Heart Oval in White Cardstock and mount Yellow card in the coordinating die cut from the Classic Ovals.

Cut out your Shasta Daisy Strip in White Cardstock and using your Craft Dauber or a small ball of cotton wool begin tapping some Scattered Straw ink into all the centres.

Once dry shape petals on a foam mat with a stylus tool. Assemble layers up to desired effect with adhesive. Finally adding a layer of Flower Soft into the Centres with adhesive.
Die cut the Leaf Strip in Green and shape leaves on a foam mat with stylus tool.

Using a square card 5"7/8 by 5"7/8 start to adhere you layers onto your card as in photograph. Adhere Happy Easter with glue onto the Oval Centre and then layer onto the card with foam pads.
Finally arranging and adhering on the Chicks, Leaves and Flowers to the card to finish.

Nice Little Things by Julie Lavalette

Hi Everyone, It's Julie here hosting the blog today. With winter now just around the corner here in Scotland, I have started to feed our Garden Birds once again. This card is inspired by them and the Summer flowers that are now all disappearing.

Let me show you previous layers again on this card to make it easier to understand how I made it.

You will see I layered my French Flair Doily stackers rotating the following layer to a diamond shape and I paper pieced in my Snowflake Doily at the back.

I shaded my leaves, birds and birdbath with distress inks and my flowers were coloured with Copics.

I stamped my verse, added a little distress and accent stamping to soften the sharpness of the white card.

Good Luck to everyone entering our weekly challenge and I'll see you all next Saturday.

Happy Crafting,
