Thank You for your Service With Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 2 Comments

Hello!
Today, I'm sharing with you a fun patriotic card inspired by the homecoming of my nephew from Iraq. He was stationed there for 9 months and I'm so glad he is back safely in the United States with his family. I wanted to make this card clean and simple for you to send to your loved ones or just a thank you to all the men and women fighting for our freedom.

There are only 2 dies used and it only takes minutes to make. I used the largest "banner" in blue and then die cut out 5 of the smallest "banners" in red. The card is 5 x 6 and I distressed another piece of white cardstock at 4.5 x 5.5 inches.  There are pop dots behind the distressed piece of cardstock but you can place it flat too. The sentiment was printed on the computer. I just fussy cut the flag ends. It is an Army font, since that is my nephew's branch of service.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed!

It's A Dry Heat! with Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 4 Comments

Hi everyone! I'm back today sharing a new card for Cheery Lynn Designs using their New Release North America and Canadian Provinces. I live here in Arizona, so I had to share the popular "It's A Dry Heat" card. This card was inspired by a postcard here in AZ. I placed the "Arizona State" in the middle of the card. The State was cut 3 times in each color and then I fussy cut the white cardstock behind it. It really makes it pop out a bit more. In the center is a star from "100 stars"

The "scalloped frame" was cut in light purple and kraft and then placed together. The cactus was made using "surfer's up set" surf boards and I embossed them to look like cacti. I also used the small bushes in kraft since it is hot in the summer and everything turns a bit brown.

The sun was made using a "sunflower" and the font is Microsoft Word Bleeding Cowboys. The little skeleton is a stamp that I fussy cut out. Lots of pop dots behind, but you could also leave it flat for mailing out.

Hope you enjoyed!

You're A Star With Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 5 Comments

Hi everyone, it's Lisa back today with a super quick card using the new release "you're a star" with Cheery Lynn Designs. I kept the card clean and simple and literally it took only a matter of minutes to make for that super sweet boy card for any occasion.

As you can see, I just added more stars from "100 stars" and used the smallest "pierced banner" to print up the word "star". I also added pop dots behind the large star for more dimension.

You Sparkle So Much With Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 4 Comments

Hi everyone!
Lisa back today. sharing a new card for Cheery Lynn Designs. It was inspired by this week's "Red, White, & Blue" challenge. The Fourth of July is my favorite holiday of the year! So I had to use all the fun diecuts and embossed plate I could get my hands on for this one card! :)
The card is 5x6 inches. I usually dont make this card on the side but I new that I had to show off the beautiful Patriot Swag on the perfect Victorian Picket Fence.

I used two pieces of Curved Border Set to make the border on top. For the sentiment, I used three different fonts and printed it on cardstock. Then I diecut it with Pierced Stacker #4 and added 100 Stars of the sides. Party Balloons in the two smallest sizes in different patterned paper are in the background and I added embroidery floss for the strings on the balloons. Last but not least, I diecut the Chrysanthemum Strip, added a bit of shine with a jelly roll pen and final touch up with cream pearls in the centers to represent fireworks.

The inside for writing your personal message I used the USA/Canada Embossing Plate.
It was the perfect size for my card!

Air Force Brave by Karen Maldonado

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Hi there!  It's Karen here sharing this card I made to celebrate the bravery
and dedication of those men and woman who serve!!
This card features the Air Force  set, but you could also use the dies from
the Marine or Navy sets too!

First, I started by creating a card base using the Square Classic Stacker Nesting,
and Square Scalloped LG Stacker Nesting dies.

I placed three of the dies that I cut from the Air Force set and placed them
onto the Circle Classic Silver Stacker.  Then, I layered that piece onto the
NEW Pierced Stacker.  Then, I used a few of the tiny stars from the 100 Stars
die set and placed them onto the corners of the Pierced Stacker.

Lastly, I die cut one of the Military Dog Tags with the
sentiment 'brave' and attached it to the Pierced Stacker set!

List of dies used:

XL2 Square Scalloped LG Stacker Nesting
