Great Oaks from Little Acorns Grow

Hi and Good Morning everyone, Alison here today sharing another card for our challenge theme this week of 'For The Grad'.  I hope you find time to join in as there is a great prize worth playing along for! :)

For my card I layered and hand-stitched cream and black card and printery papers, and chose some really elegant scrolls and flourish dies to compliment these.  The top and bottom panel has the gorgeous Mini Flourish One Scroll die teamed with small leaves and acorns, and on the middle section I used the Mini Flourish Band from the May New Releases.

I made my own scroll from ripping printed paper, inking the edges and tying a piece of thin red ribbon, and I also made my own grad hat with stitched gold embroidery thread as a tassel :)

All dies used on this project were:

You have till Sunday to join in, so lots of time to enter and I look forward to visiting and seeing some gorgeous entries.  There is also daily inspiration from the other talented members of the DT over on our Cheery Lynn Designs Inspiration Blog.

I hope everyone has a smashing week, and thanks so much for visiting our blog today.
