Holiday Fireplace Card Set with Laurie Schmidt

2:00 AM 0 Comments

Hi everyone, Laurie here from Stamping Up North!

My last Cheery Lynn post I shared Holiday Window cards (you can find those here) and today I'm sharing a Holiday Fireplace card set. Cheery Lynn's windows, fireplaces and doors are so fun to make cards with...and there are so many other dies that can be used to decorate them too. The fireplace actually comes with some cute stockings, candles and picture frames.

For my first card... Halloween.... I used a black fireplace and cut out a pumpkin from the Jack O' Lanterns and set him on the mantle with some Tiny Fanciful Flourishes on each side. Then I added some spooky webs behind the fire, and stamped my sentiment in black.

My second card is for Thanksgiving.
I dressed up the brown fireplace with some pillars on each side from the Wrought Iron Fence die. Then I decorated the mantle with the candles and a tiny bow from the  Merry Christmas Gift Envelope set.The pumpkin is from the Fall Pumpkin Patch and comes with the pretty tiny leaf scrolls. I added a sign that says," Blessings" from the Winter Holiday Word set, and tucked a piece of the Mandy Doily underneath the fireplace for a rug.

My third card is for Christmas, and this time I used a white fireplace and cut a piece off of a brown fireplace for the base. The stockings and candles come with the set, I also added a fun sign from the Merry Christmas Gift Envelope set. I tucked some Pine Branches on each side and a bit of holly on the top. The holly is from the Christmas Wreath set, which I use a TON! It's just the right size to decorate bells, trees, hats,etc...I love it!

Hello everyone and Happy Friday to all!
I LOVE the colors of fall! Love all the trees, leaves, and of course decorating for this season too! While I LOVE cooking a good turkey for Thanksgiving, I am not that fond of eating him....hehehehehe.  I do Love the stuffing and all the side dishes, just not a big fan of turkey. However I am a big fan of this DARLING Cheery Lynn Turkey, as he is absolutely too cute!!!! I did airbrush this little guy :)  I had fun with that! I hope you enjoy today's post!
I started with a 6" x 6" card base.

Base Layer cut at 6" x 12" and score at 6" to create a 6" x 6" card
Layer 1- cut brown shimmer card stock at 5 3/4" x 5 3/4", then dp at 5 1/2"x 5 1/2" (add sewing)
Layer 2- Cut brown at 5" x 5" then dp(design paper) at 4 3/4"x 4 3/4"

Begin Each Day with a Grateful Heart Tag with Maggi Harding

3:30 AM 4 Comments
Happy fall ya'll!  Yep I'm a southern gal and ya'll is a real word in my vacabulary!  I've used some pretty fall colors to make a grateful tag using some great Cheery Lynn Designs dies and Authentique's Harvest Collection.
I love the Julie Nutting doll stamps and I've used Valentina here to pass on some sage advice.  She is popped up with foam tape and placed over several layers of color.

I started my tag with a dark brown base.  Then I layered on a Celtic Boutique Stacker Frame in a bright orange shade.  Next came a Horizon Coved Rectangle Boutique  Frame in  fall colors print.

Valentina is standing in the pumpkin patch!  I used the Fall Pumpkin Patch die and popped it way up with several thicknesses of foam tape.

I made a couple fall flowers for my tag using the 3D Daisy Flower Die.  These are easy to make, just diecut and roll them up.  A little tip, they are alot easier to roll if you use a quilling tool.  Then I sprayed them with a little Lindy's Starburst Mist to deepen the color and add some sparkle.

To finish my tag off, I diecut some Fall Leaves and tucked here and there on the tag.  That's it; now I have a pretty tag that I can use with a hostess gift.  Wouldn't it be pretty tied to a nice bottle of wine for a friend?

Hello Pumpkin Greeting Card by Ginny Nemchak

3:00 AM 2 Comments
Hey there Paper Peeps! Ginny here dropping in to share a really rather sweet Fall inspired greeting card I created with dies from the new Fall Release.  I am super in love with the pumpkins and vines.
This card base is 5 x 6 inches with layers of patterned papers, ribbon trims and of course the fabby die cuts.
This Border cut from white paper is a simple and sweet accent and helps to break up the busy paper patterns and lighten up the color scheme.
I am totally flipping out over this Pumpkin Patch Die. I cut it  3 times with coordinating  patterned papers then used inks and markers to add even more detail. A little careful cutting and reassembling and I put all the patterns together to look like 1 image.  While I was dressing up this arrangement I added a bit of stickles and a cutie little Hello sentiment .
Of course I added a pooftacular bow and  great textural ribbon topped off with more of the bow ribbon.
Forget giving this card away...it's a wonderful additional to seasonal décor...so displaying in with a little basket of pinecones on the shelf is a wonderful idea.

Okay that's all for me. Wishing all of you a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : ) G

2016 Fall & Winter Holiday Release Part 3 Fall & Thanksgiving with Debbie Brownmiller

3:30 AM 13 Comments
Hi It's Debbie from Debbie's Time Out hosting the blog today . Glad to see you here.

This is a bendi frame card. I layered the French Lattice Small in the background. I had cut the French Lattice and used as a stencil on the card I posted on July 14th. I saved the French Lattice Frame  and this is my inked French lattice background for this card. I used the Coved Rectangle Classic   and the Coved Rectangle - Scalloped  for the framed opening of the card.

I am featuring  three new die sets from part 3 of the Cheery Lynn Designs fall and winter release on this card. They are the Happy Turkey Day 7 Piece Die Set ,the Fall Pumpkin Patch 3 Piece Die Set  and the Fall Leaves 8 Piece Die Set .

Along the top I have layered the beautifully detailed leafy flourishes from the  Fall Pumpkin Patch 3 Piece Die Set . I layer three green leaves from the Fall Leaves 8 Piece Die Set  behind the one of the
flourishes. The sentiment "Happy Turkey Day" from the Happy Turkey Day 7 Piece Die Set  was placed in the center of the background.

The turkey from the Happy Turkey Day 7 Piece Die Set  was layer at the front just behind the bendi frame. This turkey is just too cute and it's sign "Eat Beef" is just priceless. Small leaves of different colors from these sets were scattered around the card.

These two pumpkins are from the Fall Pumpkin Patch 3 Piece Die Set . I have layered them to the very front of the frame. The grass is the Grass Border  and I did three layers of it in three different colors. Some of the grass was layered behind the frame and some in front of the pumpkins. This bendi frame really give you lots of dimension and lots of separated layers. The three new die sets I used really will make beautiful Thanksgiving and fall cards.

I invite you to come join our Bi Weekly Challenge for your chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree.

I want to thank you for visiting the blog today.  Be sure to leave a comment today and every day between July 22nd and August 3rd.  One lucky person that leaves a comment on the selected day will win a $20 gift certificate to Cheery Lynn Designs.
Have a crafty day my friends.
