# Celeste Glover # Christmas

Christmas Wreath

Hello everybody.  My name is Celeste and welcome to my very first Cheery Lynn Designs post as the newest member of the Design Team.  I am thrilled to be a part of this wonderful "family" and can't wait to share with all of you my newest creations.

My first post is just in time for Christmas.  This is a wreath I created to hang on my front door.  I have always wanted one but have refused to purchase those that are in the local shops, as they were too over the top and way too big for my front door.  The next best thing was to make myself one!

To start with I used a foam circle obtained from my local craft store, and sat down to mark out how many flowers I wanted to use and where to place them.  I used (a lot!) of the  SF-2 STACKER FLOWERS #2.  I cut my flowers using three different papers, each with aspects of gold on them, and proceeded to put the flowers together making sure I didn't put the same papers on top of each other.  This made sure that all the flowers were different.

I also added some silver baubles in threes and jotted them in between the flowers, just to break the flow of all the gold.  I did the same with the silver ribbon and the two silver leaves on the side.  I then used the B147 OLIVE BRANCHES and just had them jut out the side to replicate branches.  I really like the effect it gave, and to me softened the harsh outline of the circle.

To adhere the flowers, I found that brads were the best.  As there were two flowers stacked on top of each other, I simply put the two flowers together and put the brad straight thru.  Then instead of bending the backs out, I just left them and pierced the brad straight thru onto the foam.

I encourage you to have a go, as it is a simple and easy project that anyone can do!
