3:30 AM 4 Comments
Hello everybody  it's Amy here with you today!
Holy moly!!  I'm so super glad I already took pictures of my layout pfff.....I had a disaster going on in my scrap room oh my...
I spilled a whole glass of sticky orange juice on part of my layout :-( but it's ok now I used quit a lot of towels to save my layout.

This time it's a boy's layout, I stole a picture of my uncle Evert's Facebook page, one of when he was about two years old.
I so love old pictures it makes me go back in time.....the good golden day's

When I was just a little Boy:
I so much like the gate die it is such a fun one to play with. This is the first time I used the oval frame and wow what a great die!
Now for some close-ups:

It's the lower right corner with the gears that got messed up with orange juice! So one tip for you all use a bottle when drinking in your scrap room. :-)))

My Family 8x8 Layout

3:30 AM 2 Comments
Good morning everybody,
Amy here with you today, as by now you all know I love to make layouts.
Cheery Lynn Designs has got me thinking outside the box which I really appreciate.
I'm totally hooked on making 8x8 layouts.
So today I have another one to share.

My Family
I adore using the gears so much. This time I left the cut-outs in my gear dies.
For this layout it looked better that way, something else I did different I cut them out of a piece of cardboard! That way they are thicker.
I did a lot of pasting on my layout and some glimmer misting.
The picture is a favourite of mine. I don't own so many old pictures but this one is very dear to me.
It's one of my grandfather (Arthur), my grandmother (Anna), my uncle (Evert) and my mom (Gerla) many year ago. On December 19th my mom turns 60.
My grandfather died in 2003 and my grandmother and uncle live in Florida.
I miss them very much.
now some close-ups:

 I used the following dies:

Let me share a couple close ups of the layering and new flowers

I used a banner and layered a few extra on the top...I layered the letters on the doilies. Can you see the wonderful chicken wire on the back? I love how I layered everything on top and used ribbon to hold it all together.
Hope I inspired you to try and play along with us this week.
