Life Is Good Card by Chrissy Mac

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hello everyone.  Chrissy Mac here with another quick custom card project.  Life is full of trials and tribulations, but ultimately life IS good.  Sometimes people could use a quick friendly reminder with this positive message whether it is to tell them they have done a great job, that they are special to you because they are part of what has made life good or sending a congratulations for reaching a special milestone.  That is why I just had to use this Cheery Lynn Designs sentiment die.

I really like using stamps, but sometimes it is nice to just do a nice die cut for your card's main message.  The nice thing about the Life Is Good die is that it is a "one cut and your done" die so it is ideal for a quick and simple card projects or scrapbook layouts.

Since I chose to use a cardstock background that has a pretty bright and colorful design, I opted for a solid color card base (pink) and a white embossed layer to separate my bright and vivid colored paper used for the "Life IS Good" die cut from that bright and colorful middle layer.  I made this with a girlfriend's birthday in mind so that is also why I went with the bright colors and whimsical flower designed paper as the driving color and style element on this card project.

Since I wanted to keep this card design pretty clean and simple and have the message be the focal element, I opted to put one gorgeous little flower on there.  I pretty much think all flowers are gorgeous and I love every single Cheery Lynn Designs dimensional flower die I own.  I am looking forward to picking up some more soon to add to my choices.   This card was as easy as can be but came out pretty sweet and consisted of the following:  Pink cardstock base with pierced edge detail (inside of card has a simple white backer card so I can write to my heart's content), center design card stock with pierced edge detail, white embossed cardstock with pierced edge detail, one orange daisy with pearl center and green leaves, and one "Life Is Good" die cut.

Grateful Card by Eva Dobilas

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Hello there, this is Eva here and today I am sharing my last  creation for the Cheery Lynn Designs blog.  It has been so fun to be on this team, but it's time to let someone else have fun as well.  I am forever grateful to have been on this amazing team.  I thought the perfect card to leave with would be a card that shows my gratitude, so I made a grateful card.  And since fall is coming I wanted to use the new Fall Leaves dies.

Since I love to watercolor so much, I wanted to showcase my card with that technique.  To start out, I created a card base using mint card stock.  Next I die cut a Rectangle Scalloped LG Purple Stackers Nesting Dies out of water color card stock and painted my back ground.  Next I die cut the Fall Leaves  out of water color card stock and painted them with water colors to create the prettiest fall leaves I could come up with and added them to my card in a collage.  I added a pretty bow to them.  Next I die cut the Grateful sentiment using black card stock and added two leaves in the corner.

Hope you like this little card and here is the list of the dies I used to create this card with:

Thank you for stopping by and I hope to see your card in our current challenges.

Hugs,
Eva

Watercolor Flowers by Eva Dobilas

Hi there, this is Eva and today I am sharing a watercolor flower card.  I love to watercolor and thought I would actually watercolor some flower dies.

To create this card I started out by cutting an A2 size card base out of white card stock.  Next I cut a smaller panel out of mint color card stock and adhered it to the card front.  Next I die cut three Lotus Flowers and two leaves from Judy's Blooms Die set out of water color card stock.  I painted them with watercolors and added them to my card front.

Finally I die cut the  Hello  sentiment out of black card stock and adhered it to one of the flowers.

Hope you like this sweet card and here are the dies I used to create it with:

Hi there, this is Eva here today and I have a pretty colorful card to share with you.  So let me show you how I made it.

First I started by cutting out two Horizon Square Boutique Stacker Frames using black card stock and glued them together to create my card base.  Next I die cut a Mexican Tile Pattern out of kraft card stock and adhered it to my card front.  Next I die cut a square using the Square Stitch and Cut tool out of light blue card stock and layered it on my card.  Next I die cut a Fleur De Lis Circle Doily out of black card stock and added it to my card.  Next I die cut a Birthday Wishes Circle Die out of white card stock and backed it out with a light blue circle, which I cut out using the Circle die.

Finally I die cut Floral Bouquet Kit Die Set out of water color card stock and I painted them using Color Burst Water Color Powders and added them to my card.  I also added crystals to the "i"s in the Birthday Wishes.

Hope you like this card and here are the dies I used to create it with:
