Happy by Jenny Alia

Hi!  It's Jenny here today with a new card featuring the 3D Peacock die.  I love all my dies but I'm always amazed by the level of detail in this one.  It's also the perfect die to use when making a quick card because of its large size.   I had so much fun coloring the peacock and I blended a number of different distress inks to get the blue shade.  I also added flat-backed rhinestones to the feathers and a black rhinestone for his eye.

I cut the larger Happy word from the Happy die set.  The elegant script and the flexibility of mixing and matching other words makes these dies really versatile.  Last, before I glued the Peacock down I pulled up all the eyes on the feathers to add a three dimensional element and added some glitter to his body.  He really sparkles.

Hello by Jenny Alia

Hi, it's Jenny here today hosting the blog and I've created a card around this beautifully detailed 3D Peacock die cut.  My four year old and I had a lot of fun playing with my spritz bottles.  It's difficult to see but the entire peacock shimmers.  We made a number of marbled looking papers with my sprays and I cut the peacock after one dried.

The card base was covered with a black card front, layered with teal, then white and then I cut a blue mat out of the Pierced Stacker #3 die.  I added the hello from the Bohemian Word Set in black for some added contrast.  I just love the big sentiment and the script font.  I find I use it on both formal cards as well as more clean and simple designs.

Before gluing the peacock to the card front I added a green rhinestone for his eye and pushed out his feathers from behind with a stylus tool.  I wanted to show off all the beautiful dimension and detail this die has built into it.

Friends Card with Corina Finley

Hello!

Corina here with you today to host the Cheery Lynn Blog and share my card that I have created using the 3D Peacock die for inspiration. The Peacock die is from May's New Release and has so much beautiful detail.
I cut most of the layers for my card from a large piece of watercolour paper that I inked and sprayed with Distress Stain and Glimmer Mist. I cut a circle and card base from black cardstock. For the 3D effect on the Peacock, I bent up along the detailed cuts and embossed areas. I also added Stickles and a Turquoise glaze to the body for shine.

Dies Used:

A2 Frames Rectangular Classic (Set of 7) - CM-5
