  1. I tend to use more frames, flowers and foliage dies than anything. Right now I'm working on two hand made baby albums, I'd like to finish them before I start working on my Thanksgiving and Christmas cards. I decided to purchase (Christmas last year from husband) the Big Shot Express. I've had eleven back surgeries and when I'm working on big projects it's very difficult to continually turn the handle. I have to say, I absolutely love the Acorn and Leaves die set, I have to have it!! Thanks Cheery Lynn!

  2. I like all things nature as far as dies are concerned - flora and fauna! I'm working on Halloween cards for friends and grand kids. I love my Vagabond die cutting machine!

  3. I love working with dies that are really unusual, and have a lot of detail. I don't mind putting together lots of tiny pieces to create a beautiful scene. I use a Big Shot Plus which is the BEST machine I have ever used!
    Take care!

I like unique specialty dies! I am working on some Halloween cards and ATCs. I use a QuicKutz Revolution for die cutting.

  6. What a great blog hop with beautiful inspiration with your dies. I love unusual dies and frame tired of my mini albums. I use my Cuttlebug and mostly my Gemini electronic die cut machine.

  9. Since I love all things crafty, I'm going to answer all three of your questions. ;)
I have always tended to purchase layering dies which I can get a lot of use out of. You know circles, squares, rectangles (with all the different stitch marks, etc.) But recently have started purchasing more word dies plus a few specialty. I am currently working on cards for the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. It's fun for a change of pace and I enjoy seeing what everyone else comes up with too. I have a Big Shot by Sizzix, a Sizzix eClips and recently purchased a Scan N Cut2 (which I am loving as it cuts out my stamped images perfectly!) :)

  10. I forgot to add this is my first time at the Cheery Lynn Designs site. I have never seen your products before (I know where have I been?) :) I have been looking at all your dies and practically drooling....I can see wanting more specialty dies in the future. I just love your new Christmas moose and Santas, etc. I'm glad I "discovered" you but my husband will probably not be. ;)

  11. I use more dies, always have. Right now I'm working on pop up Christmas boxes and dioramas. I just love that 3D! I usually use my Gemini but sometimes the Silhouette. I just like the process of running the die through, it's like watching embossing powder melt...awesome!

  13. Great fall projects from the DT!! I love all dies, and try to buy a variety, but I usually buy a die I know I will use a lot, doily, nesting dies etc. I am working on a baby card right now. I own both the Cuttlebug which I leave set for embossing and my Big Shot which I cut all my dies on.

  14. Wow! I just looked through all your dies. Boy! You have a lot!!! I like the variety that you have and the fact that you will do a custom one too. Currently I working on zodiac birthday cards for this year. But, I am wondering what a shaker is. Is it a sticker? At one time I was into 3-D designs but now do most of my cards using die cuts and embossing folders.

  15. I have a lot of projects I'm working on right now. I've got wine jugs drying, canvases textured with Spackle and tissue paper, and cards waiting for sentiments! I love steam punk and am so happy you offer the dies to feed my habit :-)

  16. First of all, I love the new look of your blog! The new dies are incredible and as always I've fallen for the new foliage dies. The acorn and leaves is a must-have! I am working on Fall projects with a pop of color, but most of it is clean and simple with a floral theme! I have a hybrid die cutting machine that can be used manually and also has an additional motor to use automatically with the push of a button. I've enjoyed seeing the beautiful projects by the design team. Thanks so much for a chance to win. -Gracie.

  17. Fun new look to your blog! I like using unique dies best. I am working on a scrapbook page about the solar eclipse. And I still use my old Revolution die cutting machine!

  18. I tend to use more of the Unique Specialty dies, though I do use frame dies alot too. I am actually working on Christmas cards. I have 120 to do, before the ones for the little kids. Mostly I use a BigShot, but sometimes a cuttlebug when I am out at my Moms. I have something called a BIG BLUE I think. It is electric and I only use when I want to emboss or cut something for a 5.5" x 8.5" card. I got the machine and plates and shims at a garage sale for under 40 dollars.

  19. I prefer all of the dies, love yours! I am working on organizing my dies so I can find what I'm looking for and not order something I already have! I use the Sizzix Big Shot, love that too.

  20. I tend to go for the more unique dies. I like mixed media a lot. I'm working on my Halloween cards and have started on my Christmas tags. the Big Shot is the die cutting machine I use. Love your dies!

  21. I buy a variety of types of dies. While I love frames, I do have quite a lot of words and phrases as well as decorative items. I make cards for our Ladies group at church. I give the cards to our leader who, in turn, sends them out to each of the members on their birthdays, or what ever occasion needed. I've made over 100 cards this year. I am beginning my Christmas Cards this week. While I have had several machines over the years, I am now using a BigShot, which is my favorite.

  22. I buy a variety of dies, but I like all kinds that are NOT caricature-ish. I guess I prefer Southwest designs and holidays. I am currently working on a card swap of 22 Christmas cards. I own 3 different kinds of machines, but the Big Shot is still my favorite.

  23. I am currently working on my Christmas cards. I purchase dies that are something different from what I see elsewhere. I have a Cricut machine now, so I don't purchase so many dies anymore, but the ones I do buy are Cheery Lynn dies.
I have a Spellbinders Grand Calibar machine which as a wider mouth for bigger dies.

  24. This was a wonderful blog hop, and I found some dies that I think I have to add to my stash! The dies I use the most are doily and layering basics. I love that they are versatile and can be used on so many of my projects. I'm always impressed that even very intricate Cheery Lynn doilies cut through paper like a hot knife through butter. As to my die cutting machine, I have two: A Spellbinders Platinum Plus that I use for all die cutting and a Sizzix Big Shot that I use for embossing folders, which I also love. I'm working on fall/Christmas projects at present, and using the Lilith Doily a lot. Thanks for a wonderful hop filled with beautiful projects!
