Earth Laughs in Flowers Card by Amy Voorthuis

3:30 AM 0 Comments
Good morning lovely fans.
Today it's my turn again on this amazing blog and I would like to share a flower shaker card. Although my fellow DT ladies are all into the Fall/ Halloween/Christmas cards I will show you a different type of card as I am still in summer mood lol. Here in The Netherlands we are enjoying some nice late summer temperatures this week we are going to hit 20 degrees.  Oh that feels so good as do not love winter at all!

Earth Laughs in Flowers:
This card was made with Maja Design papers from the Vintage Summer Basics collection since I had some leftovers from the layout I made this week. I think it is really easy to use your scraps for cards as I tend to do most of the time.

The shaker is filled with some dress my craft sequins and some mica flakes {amazing stuff}
The centers of my card are made with some foam balls that I dipped into some prills. At the end I added some white spray and a word strip.

Cheery Lynn Designs dies used:
K111 - Flourishing Flower Shaker Set
FRM144 - Chicken Wire Frame
C184 - Judys Blooms
B129 - Cherry Blossom

Thank you so much for visiting the blog today!
I hope you enjoyed my post and I have inspired you to use your Cheery Lynn Designs dies. You could also visit my blog at Amy's Pretty Papers for more inspiration.
Have a wonderful day!

Believe in Magic Card by Amy Voorthuis

3:30 AM 2 Comments
Good morning lovelies.
Today I would like to share another card with you and this time it's a summer card. For this card I used all Maja Design papers and just three Cheery Lynn Designs dies {and I can tell you that was a huge challenge for me}....Maybe you wonder why I used just three dies?  Well I am always trying to add a twist to my work when I am creating to let me think outside the box for once. So for this card my challenge was to only use three dies.

Believe in Magic:
This card is made out of three layers....I also added a flair to it which says be-you-tiful! The flower is made out of two different sized dies to give if more volume. For this card I used some soft yellow/orange papers with a touch of teal.

At the end I sprayed some white ink and added some flat back pearls and a thread through the eyelets to complete my card and I really love how it turned out....do you like it too?

A Little Shab & a Little Chic by Chrissy Mac

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hello beautiful people!  Chrissy Mac here with a "Well Wishes" custom card in a style I have dubbed "A Little Shabby and a Little Chic."  This one is full of yummy textures with knitted lace, corrugated paper, dyed twine and regular card stock.

I used Cheery Lynn Design's french flair which is such a great building shape as it has a nice outside shape that is decorative, but clean at the same time.  I wanted to play with some lace edging.  I staged it under my already cut circles and I knew instantly that I had to use it.  This drove some later design decisions such as using the corrugated paper (an unlikely candidate normally) for building a dimensional flower and creating a flower center through repeatedly knotting the purple twine.

Another technique I used to help give it that shabby chic vintage like styling is using a die cut using the Cheery Lynn Square Deutschland Doily and carefully flipped it and removed only some of the outer most cutouts so it had a rougher more imperfect look when layered over the grey french flair.  Perhaps others will like the end result.  I almost want to just frame it as it is so layered and has a sturdier look than the average card, but someone should receive these well wishes!

Sympathy card by Eva Dobilas

4:01 AM 1 Comments

Hi there, this is Eva and today I have a Sympathy card to share with you.  To create this card I started out by cutting down an A2 size card base out of cream card stock.  Next I die cut a Quadrafoil Square Doily out of black card stock and backed it up with a kraft card stock and also with black card stock just to show on top and bottom of that panel.

Next I die cut a Tags #2 out of cream card stock and stamped my sentiment on it and added it to my doily.  Next I die cut the Flourish #14 out of green card stock.  Finally I die cut a Lotus Flower out of water color paper and sprayed it with Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays and added them to my flourishes.

Hope you like this card and here is the list of the dies I used to create it with:

Hi there, this is Eva sharing a Birthday card with you today.  To create this card I started out cutting my card base out of mint card stock.  Next I stamped a background stamp on cream card base and cut it out and adhered it to my card base.  Next I die cut a Mirror Mirror Doily Frame using light pink card stock and adhered it to my card front.  Next I die cut a Quadrafoil Tag using cream card stock and stamped my sentiment on it and added to the doily.

Next I die cut a Chrysanthemum using pink card stock and built it.  Then I die cut Flourish #13 using green card stock and Tiny Fanciful Flourish Right & Left using gold glitter card stock and added them to my card.

Hope you like this little inspiration!  Here are the list of the dies I used to create this card with:
