Think Spring

Good Morning fellow crafters and bloggers! :)  What stunning entries we have so far this week for our 'Think Spring' challenge.  Its lovely to just to break out the fresh zingy colours and think of flowers, nature and warmer weather to come.

I had such fun making my card for today as I love nothing better than making my own flowers and swooshing about playing with dies on my layout.   I started off by hand-stitching my backing papers and then layering the gorgeous and versatile B117 - Fanciful Flourish.  and the B133 - Lace Light Deco Border.  These gave me a great base to add additional leaves and flowers to my design later on.

I then layered the DL101 - English Tea Party Doily (which is  soooo beautiful), and added my image.

Other dies used on this project are:

D134 - Dimensional Small Leaves #2
B152 - Miniature Rose
B154 - Medium Rose
B155 - Large Rose - these flower dies are so versatile I made daisies with them!
XL-5 - Scalloped Circle LG Stackers Nesting Dies
L-4 - Classic Circle LG Stackers Nesting Dies

As always, I played about with the placement of the flowers and leaves before sticking any down and I inked the edges of the leaves as I think it adds a great finishing touch.

I hope you find time to play along with our challenge this week, and I look forward to seeing some fab entries.  Dont forget, there is also daily inspiration from the other talented members of the DT over on our Cheery Lynn Designs Inspiration Blog.

Have a smashing week, and thanks so much for visiting today.
