3:30 AM 0 Comments
Good morning Cheery Lynn Fans.
Autumn is upon us again and here where I live the weather is showing us all the beauty of it! Falling leaves and changing colors but also my least favorite part, the heavy wind and the rainy days. Today is a day like that and it's my day off work but it is a day to stay in bed under the warm covers....  For today I'd like to share an Autumn card with you all using almost all the leaf dies Cheery Lynn Designs offers.

Autumn's Loveliest Smile:

I am hooked on Cheery Lynn's leaf dies because you can use them for every occasion and this time it's an Autumn card. It was really hard to take a picture because it is very windy today and I take all my pictures outside....and my card almost flew away haha. lol

Hello Beautiful:
For this card I used some of my newest dies to create with such as the B465 - Double Scalloped Border & the cute B488 - Pair of Tickets.  This card was a blessing to make and I am very happy how it turned out. Also I took out my doily dies again for this card and it was really nice to play with them after such a long time.

That lily flower is from the build a flower die range and is such a gorgeous addition to your work because it's really large and easy to put together. If I find time I will show you that in a video as soon as I can.

Spring Hello from Eva Dobilas

3:30 AM 3 Comments

Hi there, this is Eva here with a floral card just in time for Spring.  I love the pretty Lotus Flower and I thought I would use them again.

To create this card I started by creating an A2 size card out of cream card stock.  Then I cut a piece of   light brown card stock and embossed it using Wood Grain/Leaves embossing plate and distressed it with brown ink to show the design even more.

Next I die cut a Card Cover Maker #1 out of cream card stock and cut it off partially to fit my card front.  Next I die cut 3 different color Lotus Flowers out of three different color card stock and layered them on the card.  Then I die cut two leaves using the Judy's Blooms and Flourish#3 using green card stock and tucked them under the flowers.  Finally I die cut 4 corners using Lords and Commons Accents and black card stock and placed them in the corners.  I cut Hello out of yellow card stock and placed it on the flower.

Hope you like this springy card and here are the Cheery Lynn Designs dies I used to create this card:

Beautiful Day Card by Amy Voorthuis

3:00 AM 1 Comments
Good morning lovelies.
I had a lovely weekend spending it with my husband, son and his parents celebrating both our birthdays. We are both born on the 6th of March. Because I have been battling the flu for the last two weeks, I didn't want to have a big birthday party so this was nice. Today I would like to share another card with you all.  So sorry that I haven't been making layouts but time is really flying by so fast. This time I used the pretty new "Salvage District" collection by Prima Marketing to create my card.  This collection is really pretty.

Beautiful Day:
I made the DL233 - Italian Flourish Tiny Doily the centerpiece of my card. I cut it out four times and then folded all four in half to place it on top of each other. Then I cut out the beautiful B434 - Sweet Christine two times and placed it on top of the Italian Flourish Tiny Doily and finished it of with a say it in crystals bling gem from the "French Riviera" collection.

For me this was a simple card to make and in due time I will make a tutorial how I make my cards. It will probably be this month but I will not promise it. Because I am very busy designing this month.

Enjoy Card by Eva Dobilas

3:30 AM 2 Comments

Hi there, this is Eva here today with a sort of a Clean and Simple card.  Well as clean and simple I can create anyway...LOL.  I wanted to stretch myself and here are the results of that.

To create my card, I cut an A2 size card base out of a white card stock.  Then I took a piece of black and white patterned paper and added them just to the edges and layered another piece of white card stock, so only the edges of the patterned paper showed.  Next I die cut the the Dancing Doily Lace Border using black card stock and placed it on my card front just partially.  Then I die cut a Circle using white card stock and laid it on top of the lace border.  I die cut the Enjoy sentiment out of black card stock to add to my circle.

Next I die cut the Chrysanthemum four times using 4 different color card stock and built my happy little flower.  I added a gold half pearl in the middle of my flower.  Then I die cut Flourish #13 out of green card stock and added it to my flower and placed all of it on top of my circle.  As a final touch I added some cute colorful sequins on my card.

Well, hope you like this little card and here is the list of the Cheery Lynn dies I used to create this one:

Thank you for stopping by and hope to see you play along our current challenge.

J'Adore Paris 8x8 Layout by Amy Voorthuis

3:30 AM 4 Comments
Goodmorning everyone,
It's Amy here with you today to share another layout with you all using some amazing Cheery Lynn Design dies. This time I used a pretty BoBunny collection for my layout named
 "Provence"
On the picture you see part of the Eiffel tower with my three nieces. This summer they went to Paris for their summer vacation.

J'Adore Paris:
I started with a piece of paper from another BoBunny collection named "Juliet".  On top of that I layered another sheet which I did some mixed media on. This layout was so much fun to make.
Let's have a closer look:
I always make my cut up flowers wet with a lot of water to wrinkle them so they become more vintage or shabby chic. The B154 - Medium Rose I folded around a pearl.
Look at the face of my youngest niece.  I had to laugh so hard she look so angry...she must have thought why mom do you need to take a picture of us "I don't want too"lol.

Give Thanks With Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 1 Comments
Hi everyone! It's Lisa back with a new card for Cheery Lynn Designs. This week's challenge is "Give Thanks", so I thought I would make an autumn themed card using both sets of the "Small Leaves".  So many leaves to choose from and so many different sizes. There are also acorns and I just used kraft cardstock and then colored the top with a Copic marker.
When I think of autumn, I think of the leaves and the crisp fresh air. So I added some bling to represent the wind. The sentiment was stamped on "Bottles" and I added more bling to the tops. Last I added a bow to match the kraft cardstock.

Layered Squares

3:30 AM 2 Comments

Sandy here with you today filling in for Eva.  I wanted to play with my new Stitch and Cut dies and it paired beautifully with my new Square Frames.  I began with a white card stock base, 5 7/8 inches.  I cut the largest of my Square Stitch and Cut die from white card stock, mounted it onto blue and then trimmed a very small edge.  Next came the largest die in the Square Frames set from white card stock.  Love all the swirls on this die set.  Using the middle die from this set, I die cut it from blue.  To make the center white panel, I used the center die from my Royal Scandinavian Doily set.  I love how you can mix and match all the Cheery Lynn dies.

For my flowers, I cut the smallest petals from my Daisy Strip die 4 times, stacking 4 for each flower.  I shaped them with a stylus and an embossing mat.  I used my Flourish #13 die for some greenery.  The last step was to add some pearl accents.

Christmas Poinsettia Tag

3:30 AM 3 Comments

Sandy here with you today filling in for Karen.  I have made a quick Christmas Tag for my project today.  I began with a #8 tag, adding some wonderful DP from My Mind's Eye which I sponged with Vintage Photo Distress ink.  I added my Double Scalloped Border along the top and the words For You below.

To create the flower, I die cut my Rose Leaf Strip 3 times from DP adding Vintage Photo Distress ink.  I used a small circle as a base, then glued the leaves on staggering them as I went.  I pinched the petals to give it some dimension.  I added Bundled Sage to the last petals and glued them on the bottom for leaves.

Daisies and a Butterfly

3:30 AM 3 Comments

Sandy with you here today, filling in for Eva.  I have another floral card for you, this time showcasing my Daisy Strip die.  I die cut the Daisies twice out of white card stock and then added color with my Copic markers. Next, using a Stylus tool, I shaped the petals from the back side.  I layered 2 large and 2 small for the center flower and then 2 medium and 1 small for the other two flowers.  I added a bit of Spiced Marmalade Stickles to the center of each.

I began with a 5 x 7 inch green card stock base, adding a DP panel 4.75 x 6.75 inches.  Using green card stock, I die cut my Tiny Bubbles border as well as two Double Scalloped Borders.  I used Spray Adhesive to attach them to my card.  I used my Rose Leaf Strip and both of the Mini Fanciful Flourishes for some greenery.  Using one of the butterflies from my Small Exotic Butterflies #2 w/ Angel Wings set, I created this beautiful butterfly.  I used white card stock and added color to the butterfly as well as the leaves.

Happy Birthday card by Eva Dobilas

3:30 AM 2 Comments

Hi there, this is Eva here sharing a card with you using this week's challenge, which is to use corners on your card.  We hope you play along!

I created a 5.5" x 5.5" card base out of light pink card base, than added my card panel which I cut out of patterned paper and backed it up with a little larger black card stock.  I die cut a Fleur De Lis Doily out of black card stock and adhered it to the middle of my card.  I die cut 4 corners using the Royal Scandinavian Tag and added them to my corners.

Than I die cut two flowers using Gardenia Strip out of a white card stock and one out of light pink card stock.  I inked both up a little bit and built my flowers.  In the middle of my flower I die cut the strip out of the Black Eyed Susan Strip using yellow card stock and rolled it up and glued it in the middle.  I also die cut a strip of the Shasta Daisy using white card stock and inked it up and added the middle using again the Black Eyed Susan Strip.  I inked them up using different colors and added them to my flowers.

Next I die cut two of the Leafy Flourish using green card stock and added dark green ink to it and added only the small of the flourishes to my flowers.  I also die cut a Rose Leaf Strip using green card stock and added the dark green ink to it and placed it around my flowers.  I die cut one of the birds from the Feathered Friends dies and inked it up with brown ink and added it to my flourish.  Finally I die cut Happy Birthday using the Happy and Birthday die and added them to my doily.

Daisy Tag

3:30 AM 6 Comments

Sandy with you here today filling in for Corina.  I began my project with a manila tag, 6 1/4 x 3 1/8 inches.  I added a background DP piece as well as a brown backer that is about 1/4 inch larger to give a nice finished look to the back.  Next I added the stunning Ambergris Doily; I love how open this die is.  Using text weight Cryogen metallic paper, I cut my Daisy Strip die two times.  I added a bit of yellow color to the petals, shaped them with my stylus and then glued the layers together alternating the petals as I went along.  I used the center from my Black Eyed Susan Strip die to create the wonderful orange centers.  I added some Rose Leaves as well as the leaves from the Tea Rose Medium die.

To create the fancy top, I used the new Curved Border Set of 4.  I have not separated the dies yet and cut them as they come in the package.  Click on the pics above to see the great details on each of these pieces.  Lastly I added Paris Sign #2 on the bottom, I trimmed pieces of the sign off to fit better on my tag.  I added the smaller of the 2 dies in the Love Set.

Celebrate Card with Jenny Alia

3:30 AM 5 Comments

Hi, it's Jenny posting today.  I've seen beautiful blue flowers on cards recently and wanted to try my own.  The blue flowers were cut from the Gardenia Strip die with white card stock. They started out green-blue but became more purple-blue as I added glimmer mist sprays. After drying they were shaped using paper molding tools, stacked and then glued.  The background was created by offsetting patterned papers and the trellis is the Shoji Mesh Border.

The chrysanthemums were colored with pink distress ink, shaped with a molding tool so they cupped inward and then pearl centers were added.  Distress ink was sponged onto the center of the smallest Horizon Fishtail Banner before gluing the Celebrate sentiment.  The sides of the banner were glued down and the center was popped up with multiple layers of foam adhesive so it would arch.

To finish I tucked green leaves from the Flourish Leaf Strip die and swirls cut from a purple patterned paper with the Tiny Fanciful Flourish die into the flowers.  The leaves and swirls were cut twice to make the arrangement really full.

Thanks! By Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 3 Comments
 Hello!
It's Lisa here today sharing with you my first project for Cheery Lynn Designs as a new DT! I was so excited to be one of the lucky three chosen. Thanks so much! This week I wanted to go with the challenge theme of Back to Nature. When I think of nature, I think of greens and browns. However, I wanted to add a splash of color so I used pale yellow. It is the perfect color for the Sunflowers....LOVE them!

A side view of the beautiful Exotic Butterflies & Mini Dimensional Butterflies. The French Lattice in the background was cut to fit inside the Frames Rectangle Scalloped. I used Ivy Corner Flourish on both the bottom right and upper left corners.

Here is a closer view. I also added three Clouds for a springtime nature look.
On all the butterflies I added pearls. I also added a little bow with cord.

I die cut Sentiment Tag 1 with white card stock.
The sentiment is a stamp in vintage photo ink and chalked on the edges.
LOVE the details of the Sunflowers! For a little more 3D foliage look, I added a few Flourish Leaf on top of the Ivy Flourish.

Here you can see the dimension...Not to thick and easy to mail this 5 x 6 card.

I had leftovers from the front of the card, so it made it easy to finish the inside too!
